I am entering my senior year of college and I’ve learned some things about it. Now, my experience is similar and differnet from many of my peers. Do know that everone’s experience is different. What you as an individual find important alters what happens to each person. However, I learned a few things that everyone can take with them.

I’m so grateful!!! My parents and my soon to be In-laws are such a blessing. I love them. They pushed me and prayed for me. They provided for me. They both have given me opportunities that I would of never been able to conceive of. I wanted to publicly say that @jrickyhowell Mrs. Erica @elizabeth.anne8 @timothyflynn5 @drtoniga and Mr.Alvarado are amazing. They are parents that people would sacrifice for. I love you guys so much. I know I’ll never be able to repay you all but y’all are my heart. I have no idea where I would be with out y’all. If you didn’t know, wedding planning absolutely sucks. It’s so boring and annoying. People keep asking you questions that don’t really matter. colors are just colors, food is just food, a venue is just a venue and a dress is just a dress. This event is not the climax of my life. This wedding is a celebration of a stepping stone that God is giving us. John and I have an abundance of goals that God has called us to do and our wedding is just the beginning of our partnership through it. You nor I know all of that God has planned for us but we have high expectations. New Hair! Who Dis?

TADAAAAA!!! I’m a pumpkin! A Sunrise! A Sunset! A Carrot Top! A side cover of a Penguin book! Frank Ocean’s Album cover! I can go on and on about all of the amazing things that this hair color reminds me of. This sunrise orange is one of the most beautiful colors I have ever done and I absolutely love it.

People that I graduated high school with are still amazed that John and I are still together. Every once in a while someone will ask me how did we make it so long especially through college. Well first step is that we actually like each other. Johnathan is my friend, we like similar things, we share similar hobbies, we try our best to listen to each other, we sacrifice for each other. I like John plus I think he’s really cute. Second, we both put God before our love for each other. I will never love John more than I love God. That makes our relationship work better than most because I know that I should never depend on him to fill all of the holes in my life. Third, we have our own hobbies. We’re not “consumed” by each other. John has music and I have art. John likes to read philosophical ideas and I prefer topics about social polices and history. We have our own things. We have identities that are outside of each other yet we respect each other enough to know that we represent each other. Lastly, we got to a point where we realized that we both have pros and cons about each other. So, take the honey with the vinegar ya know. We decided to make it work. We’ve been out of our “crazy and in love” stage for a while. We’ve decided to love each other. It’s a choice to love. Jesus wasn’t forced to love us. He easily could of been like “nah I’m out” but He put His emotions to the side decided to go through with everything. Sounds like love to me.
