Hands down my favorite pre-Playstation basketball game. Played this every day as a young gun on my Sega Genesis.
It always low-key bothered me to look at the bald guys in the game though. Not sure why, they just had an unsettling look to 5 year-old me. The Lakers had a staggering amount of baldies. Sedale Threatt, Sam Bowie, Nick Van Exel, Cedric Ceballos... bald bitches one and all.

“So when I see arguments — or even jokes — that we shouldn’t have female head coaches in the NBA because of “locker room” situations or whatever … I guess it just reminds me that, for as much progress as we’ve made as a league over these last few years … we still have a ways to go. Because let’s be real: There are pushes now for increased gender diversity in the workplace of pretty much every industry in the world. It’s what’s expected. More importantly — it’s what’s right. And yet the NBA should get a pass because some fans are willing to take it easy on us … because we’re “sports”?
I really hope not.
I hope the NBA will never feel satisfied with being forward-thinking “for a sports league.” Let’s strive to be forward-thinking for an industry of any kind.”

In 2001, after Dimitri left Dillinger Escape Plan, the band had an open casting call for a replacement vocalist. Fans submitted their renditions of “43% Burnt” with the hopes of becoming the new lead singer. This rendition was recently sent to me. Rather than singing the actual lyrics to “43% Burnt”, this individual decided to sing about legendary Redskins receiver Art Monk. It’s got everything from layered vocals to sounds of an AIM chat window going off in the background.

Detroit Pistons’ Stan Van Gundy goes off on Trump: ‘Brazenly racist’
“I don’t think anybody can deny [Trump] is openly and brazenly racist and misogynistic and ethnic-centric, and say, ‘That’s OK with us, we’re going to vote for him anyway.’ […]
“It’s just, we have said – and my daughters, the three of them – our society has said, ‘No, we think you should be second-class citizens. We want you to be second-class citizens. And we embrace a guy who is openly misogynistic as our leader.’ I don’t know how we get past that.
“Martin Luther King said, 'The arc of the moral universe is long, but bends toward justice.’ I would have believed in that for a long time, but not today. … What we have done to minorities … in this election is despicable. I’m having a hard time dealing with it. This isn’t your normal candidate. I don’t know even know if I have political differences with him. I don’t even know what are his politics. I don’t know, other than to build a wall and 'I hate people of color, and women are to be treated as sex objects and as servants to men.’ I don’t know how you get past that. I don’t know how you walk into the booth and vote for that. […]
“It’s embarrassing. I have been ashamed of a lot of things that have happened in this country, but I can’t say I’ve ever been ashamed of our country until today. Until today. We all have to find our way to move forward, but that was – and I’m not even trying to make a political statement. To me, that’s beyond politics.”
