If you're wondering. This is the primary reason. I stopped vetting fundraisers through tumblr. Because uhh yeah in the communications it was strongly implied they were watching the IDs and photos that Ghazzawiyeh were sending us and I was not comfortable knowing that
1) tumblr staff were watching me and nabulsi like hawks.
2) a company headed by a zionist was collecting the IDs and stated locations of Ghazzans.
Just continuing the trend of Palestinians living under maximum forms of surveillance by zionist affiliated entities and groups I guess. I hope I don't have to explain why it's bad for a tech company with a zionist CEO to compile the photo IDs and stated lcoations of Ghazzans along with their IP addresses and photos of them in Ghazzah.

Is it not completely insane and mind blowing that a few days ago just marked a solid year of this and we still get lukewarm headlines by mainstream media about how Israel is now ACCUSED of attacking Gaza hospitals (w no actual penalties for it)…. Think pieces by the New York Times that do their absolute best to tiptoe around the subject, if not outright fail to address it…….. and this is most insulting of all but I even saw more than one headline “honoring the memory” of the IOF soldiers who died in a recent attack…… and this all sounds made up but it’s not. It truly is all you see when you look up the news. Truly nothing has changed

help two Gaza genocide survivors resume their education
with the help of your donations, my friend Mohammed @mohammedhaboubsblog and his twin sister Farah were able to evacuate to Egypt. but their living situation is still precarious as they need to pay university registration fees by October 14th (edit: deadline extended to October 17th). Mohammed and Farah's first year of university was cut short by the genocide, and they have endured a year of waking nightmares with the goal of resuming their studies in mind. we know that the genocidal zionist occupation specifically targets education, and in the face of that depravity, something as simple as studying becomes a powerful act of resistance. please help Mohammed and Farah reclaim their right to education by sharing and donating:
Donate here conversion rate: $5 USD = kr52 SEK vetted: 1, 2
the enrollment fees are $2120 USD per person, $4240 total; to cover them the campaign needs to reach 296,438 SEK.
October 7th: 256,067 / 296,438 SEK ($24,721 / $28,619 USD); $3898 USD to go

i think like. we knew them when they were so young. and even as we’ve watched them grow up and reveal more of themselves and make mistakes and prove themselves fallible the way we didn’t see as starry eyed young fans. it’s really hard because there’s a facet of me that has immortalized them in my mind as the 15/17/18 year olds on the stairs on a tv show. really young faces and big dreams you know. and it’s like. now one of them is dead? he lived to be a really troubled man and now he’s dead? but i was just listening to him sing to me about first love

To those who care about the family, Yahya 🆘🚨
Tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday, is a rainy day in the Gaza Strip ⛈️❄️
From the moment I learned what the weather would be like tomorrow, I was filled with anxiety, fearing tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday, because of what we would suffer from in terms of drowning and illness due to the wear and tear of the tent that lived with me for a full continuous year in the war, and my inability to buy a new tent, winter clothes, or covers. Mattresses due to their very high price
I need $1000 for the price of a new tent 🏕️🏕️
Or to repair the old tent, I need $200 per meter of shade ⛺️
Each of my children needs winter clothes worth $100 👧👼👧
I have three children, my wife, me and my mother
My wife and I are in a very difficult psychological state because of our anxiety about the winter season 😩😭
To those who care about my affairs and the affairs of Yahya Bakhit’s family. We are human beings. We are human. Feel us. We need your support and support for my family.

NEW CAMPAIGN ‼️
My name is Hazem Jouda, I am 20 years old and I have spent my life in Gaza since birth.
My life was filled with happiness and comfort until October 7th when the war in Gaza began, bringing tragedy to me and my family. Initially, I was studying IT at one of Gaza's prestigious universities (Islamic University), but the war disrupted my studies in my third year.
This led me to start a campaign to collect donations after much thought, as it wasn't easy for me and my family, as rebuilding my future is my right.
The war stole my academic certificate, and not only that, my family and I lost our own home and our own business, which was our only source of income. We had a well-known shop for making and selling oriental sweets in Khan Yunis city, which my father dedicated his efforts and life to establish in 2013. The occupation destroyed it, and I, along with my siblings, lost our jobs, leaving me unemployed and without any source of income.
Our own business before and after destroying:
Everything changed on October 7th, when the tragedy struck. Within a week, we were forced to flee our home after it was heavily shelled, leaving with nothing but the clothes on our backs. After days, we received news that it had been destroyed, along with our memories.
This is our house after 7 OCT
Despite the challenges I face,
I remain determined to continue my education and achieve my aspirations. With limited options available to me in Gaza,
I made the brave decision to leave my family and seek opportunities abroad where I can build my future and support my family.
However, embarking on this journey comes with its own set of challenges. I am seeking to raise $5000 to facilitate my journey through the Rafah border crossing to Egypt as a first stop, as well as travel expenses, visa fees, initial university registration fees, and living expenses

🚨 Urgent Appeal: Do Not Scroll Past This! 🚨
🚨 VETTED BY butterflyeffect.project CHECK LINE NUMBER 1013
🎉 Thank you so much to everyone who donated and shared our GoFundMe! We’ve hit $6700, and we couldn’t have done it without your incredible support. Your generosity means the world to us!
Dear Tumblr Friends,
I’m begging you—please, do not scroll past this post. Mohammed, his family, and his young niece are in a desperate situation, and they need our help urgently.
The airstrike that shattered their lives has claimed the lives of everyone in his niece's family—leaving her completely alone. They have lost everything: their loved ones, their home, and their sense of security. 😢💔
Now, they are living in a tent, struggling daily with no fresh water and barely any food. To make matters worse, Mohammed’s brother is still missing. Their situation is critical and time is running out. 🚨
Mohammed is trying to escape to safety in Egypt, but the cost is staggering: $5,000 per person. Without these funds, their chance to flee their nightmare is slipping away. 😔💔
Here’s how you can make a REAL difference:
Donate: Every dollar counts. Your contribution can help cover the crossing fees and offer Mohammed and his family a glimmer of hope for a safer future. 🌟💪
Share: Spread their story. The more people who hear this, the closer we get to our goal. Your voice matters! 📢💬
Offer Support: If you have any resources, connections, or ideas to help, don’t hesitate to reach out. Every bit of assistance can change their lives. 🤝💖
Please, don't let this opportunity to help slip away. Their lives depend on our collective action. Your support can mean everything to them in this critical time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support. Together, we can make a life-saving difference. 🙏✨

Sydney Uni NTEU branch votes in favour of institutional academic boycott of Israel
by Caitlin Cassidy, 9 May 2024.
Sydney University’s branch of the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) has overwhelmingly voted in favour of an institutional academic boycott of Israel, becoming the first university in Australia to do so.
At a meeting today, 321 members voted in favour of the University of Sydney cutting ties with Israeli academic institutions and stopping all weapons-related research, equivalent to 93%, while 20 were against and five people abstained.
Sydney University’s branch president of the NTEU and historical supporter of Palestine, Nick Riemer, said it was the largest vote the union had in almost a year.
Riemer said the support for the motion was “so overwhelming that there weren’t even enough people against it to fill the speaking list”.
"Our resolution is a clear signal to university management that union members do not support the university’s ties with the war industry or its connections with Israeli universities and their responsibility for Israel’s permanent war on Palestinians."
