From what I understand, the Sentos are descendents of U7 Saiyans who evolved to live on planet Sento, right?

While I can understand some traits, like the extra fur, I am a bit lost on the facial marking (the red part of their face) alongside their black sclera (the part of our eyes that's white).

Out of curiosity, what evolutionary advantages would those traits give the Sentos?

Ahh so as the Ancestor Sentos arrived on Sento (the U7 Saiyans that got exiled), the affects of Sento's atmospheric properties started to react to their Saiyan genes.

The first gen only noticed white streaks forming in their hair as they aged so no major changes ever happened in their remaining lifetime. They just thought they were aging faster on the planet.

The second gen (their offspring), started to develop dark scaleras and yellow eyes, only some had darker skin at this time, small fur patches (no full body fur yet). Adapting to the cold regions.

The start of 3rd generation into the 4th gen (Sheeri, Roube, and Orran's time) had the full form into the what are deemed modern Sento Saiyans.

The facial marks developed around the end of the 2nd generation, start of 3rd (The Elders generation) when Sentos started to migrate to the warmer regions. It becomes a birthmark all of them then have from then on.

The planet shifted the dial to favor their Oozaru forms as their default base look over the human look. The palette change is a result of that as well.

Fun fact: The planet is around 70% to 80% snow and ice. UV rays from the sun hitting or reflecting from the snow causes their skin to darken.

Hi! I fell in love with your Sento Saiyan au after finding it on Bluesky. Have you thought about making other saiyan types based off other species of monkey if you haven’t already? Would the cultures interact and, if so, how?

After I completely finish the Sentos, I'll consider it. I am looking at Snub Nose Monkeys since they are a close favorite but time will tell.

questione about the sento/#sentosaga , what would happen if a sento used kaioken and flex at the same time? (If its even possible)

They will have to use it at that moment as a "All or nothing" finishing move. Flex already is a gamble because it acts as a Kioken in itself but just makes the body very fatigued and the Sento will collapse or fall asleep mid-battle. Kioken stacked on that, the attack that follows will either insta-kill the opponent or the Sento if they don't exert the energy from the body before it overwhelms them.

How would the Sento Saiyans react to a human like Bulma or Krillin? Do they just look totally naked without the fur?

Yeh. They'll start smoothing/rubbing on Krillin's head. They'd think he has some sort of virus (something similar to cancer) that won't allow him to grow any hair until they're told that's actually kinda normal amongst humans to not have full body hair or voluntarily shave it off.

Since the Sentos, and correct me if I'm wrong, seem to live in trees or in generally elevated places, wouldn't it be more beneficial to have prehensile feet like some monkeys in real life?

(By the way, I love your concept of the Sento saiyans and all the lore and art for them!)

Their terrains are a combination of mountain-damp forests, active volcanoes that heat up the regional spots that turn it into tropics along with the surrounding area outside of that being snow and ice.

I do see where you're going most definitely. But traversing the snow areas is why I'd keep them with normal feet/claws for extensive walking/running around.

Class Roles like Transporters/Offense Troopers are just about always on land moving around.

Sweiper (Default) Concept Art

Sweipers hide amongst snow dunes in the arctic regions of Planet Sento. They wait for Sento Transporter convoys to walk through before assaulting them for their resources and food to take back to their hideouts. They'll incite fights when they have the number advantage.

They have a long-standing grudge against the Sento Saiyans since Sweipers were the first sentient beings on Sento but since Sentos started migrating to different corners of the planet to the warmer areas, it left them having to fend for the resources that were dwindling fast.

The thought then occurred to take advantage of their weaknesses and take back what they believed to be theirs in the first place. The Sentos didn't really start the generational feuding. Sweipers are just greedy and selfish.

Orran is essentially their main obstacle as he can see their ki through the snow dunes and know where they're hiding. When he gets arrested, it's a field day for Sweipers since Sentos have dulled senses in the cold regions and can't sense them nearby.
