Youngsoo looked down at him in his lap, eyes softening with something deep and steady, not pity, but understanding. He reached out, his finger gently brushing along Yoru’s side like a promise being traced into his skin. “I know what it’s like to miss out on life,” he said quietly. “To be locked into something because of duty… or survival. I spent years just trying to make it through each day. Not really living, just existing.” His eyes met Yoru’s again, steady and sincere. “So yeah. We will make up for that lost time. Together. Even if it’s clumsy or strange or doesn’t look like what the world expects… We’ll make our own version of those moments. All the little things you missed, the firsts, the messiness, the fun, even the dumb rebellious stuff? I’ll be there with you.” He gave a faint smile and added, “And if you figure out how to get big, then great. But you don’t have to change yourself to have a full life with me. I want you. As you are.” Then, a playful spark entered his tone. “But if you do want to sneak drinks and get a little handsy under a blanket while pretending to watch a movie… well…” he raised a brow. “That can probably be arranged.” He leaned forward just enough for their foreheads to touch again, this time slower, more deliberate. “We’re not stuck anymore, Yoru. We’re free now. So let’s live.”

Yoru was a prince, that word felt like a stab to the heart….was…he no longer held that title and it made his heart break in two. His family had been dethroned and he was banished, he had fought back and something went entirely wrong, he couldn't figure out where he was, it was a strange place full of giants, not the giants he was used to but giants with weird clothing and the buildings looked odd and the smells everywhere reeked of chemicals. He could hardly fly he was weak his wings struggled to lift him, and he had no clothes as they disintegrated in the journey between realms. His body had scrapes and bruises from the rough landing and he was worried he'd starve or freeze to death but luckily he would either be killed by a giant footstep or an animal ripping him limb from limb and his pain would end soon. Delirious from hunger he finally managed to fly and quickly headed in the direction that gave off the best smells he had smelled the entire time he was in this realm, it was warm and meaty and made his mouth water but he couldn't find the source and this enraged him. He sighed heavily and found a place to sit on the windowsill of a random building, he felt warmth from the window and it was enough to keep him from freezing to death, he eventually leaned against the side and closed his eyes "May death be kinder than this realm could ever be.." he mumbled to himself.

Youngsoo turned his head slightly, careful not to jostle Yoru, perched against him. He smiled, a soft, honest smile, and reached up to gently cup his hand around Yoru like a shield, protective but not trapping him. "You’re not boring," he said, voice low and steady. "Not even a little." He tilted his head just enough that Yoru could feel the warmth of his words rumble gently through him. "Your size doesn't make you less. It makes you... different. Special. And I don’t mean that you’re some novelty either. You have a whole heart, a whole mind... a whole life inside you. That’s not small. That’s huge." He let his hand fall back into his lap slowly, giving Yoru his space again. "As for what we do now... I don't know." He chuckled quietly. "Talk more. Sit like this for a while. Plan gardens. Make fun of bad TV shows. Dream about all the things we can do, instead of what we can't." He glanced sideways at Yoru on his shoulder and added, more quietly, "You being here, just like this, already makes everything better. I wouldn’t trade it for anything." Then, with a slightly playful nudge of his shoulder, he teased, "Besides, if you ever get 'boring,' I’ll just have to bother you until you aren't."

Youngsoo let out a breath he didn’t even realize he was holding, closing his eyes too, and resting there quietly with Yoru. No rush. You don't need to fill the silence. Just... existing together. After a moment, he smiled, small but real, and murmured, "Then it’s settled. You're not going anywhere. And we'll get you everything you need. Clothes, glasses... maybe even a little bag if you want, something to keep your magic stuff in." He opened his eyes, keeping his forehead against Yoru’s for just a second longer before pulling back slightly so he could actually see him. "And you’re right... When we visit my mom, we should bring something special. Flowers... and soup. She loves soup too." He chuckled softly under his breath, the sound lighter this time, like Yoru's presence was already beginning to melt the edges of the weight he carried. "I’ll find the best window boxes tomorrow. And we’ll get you glasses too — no more blurry world for you, I promise," he added, his thumb brushing carefully over Yoru’s arm in a small, reassuring gesture. "You deserve to see everything clearly... especially now that you’ve got a whole new life to live." He paused, softer now: "And you won’t be doing it alone."

Youngsoo froze for a second, not because he didn’t want the kiss, but because he wasn’t used to something so pure and gentle. He slowly turned his head to look at Yoru, his fingers tightening a little in a subtle, protective curl like he was holding onto something precious. "You don’t have to thank me," he said, voice a little rough, like the emotions were catching up to him faster than he could manage." You deserve kindness. Not because you're small. Not because you're different. Just because you’re you." For a second, he just... looked at him. Taking in the tiny smile, the soft glow Yoru carried even when he looked tired or lonely or mischievous. Youngsoo shifted his hand a little, cradling Yoru closer to his chest without smothering him — like instinct took over and said protect, cherish. "You’re stuck with me now," he added, a soft huff of a laugh under his breath. "And if you wanna turn this cold place into a garden... We’ll do it together. Magic, sunlight lamps, or whatever it takes." He leaned his forehead against Yoru's again, keeping him close. "I’m glad you crashed into my world, too," he whispered. "And I’m not letting you go."

Youngsoo’s chest tightened a little, but not in a bad way, more like something very small and warm was settling there, right where Yoru’s words landed. He smiled, a real, soft smile, and gently curled his fingers a little, cradling Yoru more securely in his palm without trapping him. "You're not boring," he said quietly. "You're... good. I think that matters more." He listened carefully, taking in every word and every tiny flicker of feeling Yoru showed, oddly honored that he was trusted with it. "I think my mom would love to meet you," he said after a moment. "You’d be the most magical thing she'd ever seen. And she'd be so proud that I managed to make a friend... and maybe more, if you let me." The words slipped out before he could stop them, but he didn't backtrack. He just let them hang there, honest and steady. Then he nodded, firm. "Yeah. Let's start a garden. We’ll find window boxes, seeds... We’ll fill this place with green again. Make it ours. You shouldn't have to miss something so important to you." He leaned in a little, lowering his voice. "You're not alone here, Yoru. Not anymore." He hesitated, then added in a whisper, "And I’m really glad you crashed into my world."

Youngsoo listened carefully, the way Yoru spoke about his past tugging at something gentle inside him. He could almost picture the little prince wandering through flowerbeds, dirt on his hands, probably more interested in beetles than boring royal duties. The image made him smile. “That actually does sound interesting,” he said softly, “The magic, the garden, even the family stuff… it paints a picture. Makes you feel more real, you know?” He sat back a bit, but kept his hand steady near his chest, so Yoru wouldn't feel far away. “Alright, my turn.” He exhaled through his nose, eyes drifting toward the floor like he had to pull the words up from somewhere buried. “I grew up with just my mom. My dad ran off with someone else when I was still a kid—never heard from him again. My mom… she’s sick now. That’s why I signed up for the games. We didn’t have money, and I didn’t have many options.” His jaw tightened briefly, like the memory stung. “I don’t mind following orders or doing hard things, if it means getting her what she needs. I don’t care if I have to be the bad guy sometimes.” He paused, letting that sit for a second before letting a softer smile return. “But when I’m not being a rule-enforcing robot, I actually like quiet stuff. Reading, puzzles, cooking… nothing impressive, but it helps me stay grounded. I’m not all that exciting either, huh?” He looked down at Yoru, his expression warm. “Still wanna keep getting to know me? Even if I’m just a square-masked weirdo with mom issues and a weird love for soup recipes?”

Youngsoo’s smile softened, something almost vulnerable flickering in his gaze. His thumb lightly brushed across the edge of his palm, almost absentmindedly, as he considered Yoru’s words. He didn’t speak right away, giving the moment its quiet space. "Respect is important," he finally said, his voice a bit quieter than usual, the teasing tone fading for a moment. "And you deserve respect, even if you’re... well, a little smaller than I’d like." He winked playfully, his tone light again, but there was something more thoughtful behind it. "Jokes are harmless, but kindness is something I try to keep around. Especially if it means making someone feel less... I don’t know, small in a world that’s too big." He glanced down at his hand, the one Yoru was perched on, and slowly pulled it back towards himself, bringing Yoru closer into his own space, closer to his chest, where they were more on eye level. He didn’t want to make it awkward, but there was something comforting about how easy the shift felt. "You’re right. I guess I’ve been more focused on being the tough guy around you, like it’s some kind of game. But... I’m not as tough as I act, either. I do the same thing, put on a front. It’s easier to be confident when you’re pretending nothing bothers you, right?" He leaned in a little, voice lowering as he continued. "I never thought I’d actually be talking like this to someone, honestly. I don’t... open up. But there’s something about you, Yoru. You make me want to." He glanced at him with a slightly more serious gaze, his usual cocky grin replaced with something more genuine, more soft. "If we're gonna get to know each other, let’s do it. No pretending. Just... people. No size difference, no titles. Just us." Youngsoo hesitated for a moment before giving a small, almost shy smile. "I want to know about you, too. You said your life wasn’t exciting, but you were a prince... tell me something about that. Something that’s not about the banishment, but about you before everything changed."

Youngsoo’s smirk softened into something much gentler as he listened, his eyes watching Yoru closely, like he was finally seeing past the bravado and sarcasm into something a bit more real. “Alright, fair enough. No honoring yet,” he said with a little laugh. “But thanks for telling me that. I’ll keep it in mind—boundaries matter, even with tiny royalty.” He gave a slow blink, then added in a more genuine tone, “I get it, though. Not being used to people... being touched, or even just seen that way? It messes with your head. And yeah, we can work around it. No rush, no pressure. Just... whatever makes you feel safe.” When Yoru stood up and smiled, Youngsoo’s brow lifted slightly, amused and maybe even a little charmed. “Well damn. Look at you—standing tall like a true warrior prince,” he teased, tilting his palm slightly to make the pose more dramatic, like Yoru was standing atop a mountain. “And for the record, if you did break my nose, I’d lie and say I tripped over my own feet or something. No way I’m letting a six-inch guy take the blame for knocking me out.” He gave him a crooked grin. “Besides, who else is gonna keep my ego in check if not you?”

Youngsoo nodded slowly, the corner of his mouth twitching upward as if trying to hold back a grin. “Got it, no saliva facials for the prince,” he said with mock solemnity, raising his free hand as if taking an oath. “Your royal face shall remain untouched by the horrors of damp flirtation.” His tone softened just a bit as he looked at the tiny figure rubbing his head. “You okay, though? That bump didn’t rattle anything important in there, right? Brain still intact?” He gently shifted his fingers under Yoru like a human-sized armrest, subtle in how he offered the extra support without making a big deal out of it. Then, after a second, he smirked again. “I’ll admit, it’s kinda adorable that you’re all picky about it. Makes me wanna tease you more, but like, respectfully. With minimal fluids involved.” He tilted his head, studying Yoru with a glint of curiosity. “Do you always get this serious about personal space, or is it just with me?” His voice lowered again, the playfulness still there but tinged with something a little more genuine now. “Because if it is just me… I’m honored.”

Youngsoo flinched slightly when Yoru bumped into his nose, letting out a surprised “Oof—watch it, headbutt prince,” before breaking into a quiet laugh. He looked at the tiny figure sprawled in his hand with an amused smirk and just… shook his head. “Wow. So much for making a smooth move. I get hit in the face and insulted for my breath. You're really out here humbling me, huh?” He tilted his hand ever so gently to make it a little more like a lounge chair than a flat platform, giving Yoru a comfier position to lean against. “And here I thought holding you would make you melt a little, not knock yourself out trying to escape.” He gave a lopsided grin. “Not that I want you to go. You kinda belong there now. Like a weird little royal ring I never asked for but ended up liking.” He reached for a tissue with his free hand and lightly dabbed the spot where Yoru hit him. “No blood, no broken nose. Guess I’ll live. Barely. That head of yours is dangerous.” Then he lowered his hand slightly, bringing Yoru to about chest level. “So... you're staying. Good.” His voice dropped again, warm and teasing. “Gives me more time to figure out if that pouty little face can actually stay unflustered. I'm betting no.” He paused, then leaned in just enough that Yoru could see the glint in his eyes, cocking a brow. “But I’ll try to keep my ‘huge, wet breath of doom’ to a minimum this time, your highness.”

Youngsoo blinked once, then twice—his lips twitching upward into a grin that he quickly tried (and failed) to hide behind the back of his other hand. “You really just brought that up so casually,” he laughed softly, eyes narrowing with amused disbelief. “Here I was trying to flirt and make you blush, and you bring up size comparisons like that? Gods, you're dangerous.” He looked down at his palm, now cradling Yoru like some rare, sass-filled treasure. “And you're right. You're not as tiny as my thumb… you're more like…” He tilted his head, measuring thoughtfully. “...a very bossy phone. With a superiority complex. And a cute little butt.” He smirked, clearly teasing. “But fine, I’ll admit it—you take up my whole palm. Not exactly fragile, but still... kinda precious.” He lifted his hand just slightly, not enough to make Yoru unbalanced, but enough to make the gesture feel intentional, like he was holding him, not just passively offering his hand. “Don’t worry,” he said, his tone softer, “I won’t crush you. Ever. No matter what we try, I’ll be careful.” He paused, then added with a more flirtatious lilt, “Though I am curious now what kind of things you wanna 'experience' with me, little prince.” Then, as if he were challenging Yoru again, he slowly brought his face a little closer, close enough that the warmth of his breath was noticeable. His voice dropped into something lower, quieter, more intimate. “Sooo… you planning to stay there for a while? Or are you just looking for an excuse to be in my hands, hmm?”

Youngsoo chuckled lowly at the tiny, pouty defiance in Yoru’s voice. He rested his elbow on the table, chin in his palm again as he leaned just close enough to make Yoru feel like he had his full attention, even if eye contact was still a little off. “Clumsy hands? Rude,” he murmured with a teasing smirk. “I happen to have very skilled hands, thank you. They bake, they sew, they’ve patched wounds, and—" his voice dropped just a bit, "—they know how to be gentle, especially when someone’s delicate.” His brow quirked. “And you, little prince, are the definition of delicate.” He let the moment hang, letting the teasing simmer, but then shifted tone slightly—his voice turning soft, more sincere. “I get it though... you were raised in a cage, weren't you? Even if it was a royal one. You had your whole future planned for you, who to marry, what to be, how to act. Now you're out here in a world you were never supposed to survive in, stuck between figuring out who you are and mourning who you used to be.” He exhaled slowly, watching him. “You’re right. Size is a challenge. So is figuring out who you’re into... or if you're into anyone at all. But you don’t have to rush that. And you don’t have to figure it out alone, either.” Then the smirk returned. “But if you're curious... well, I’m not scared of a challenge. I’ll take the time to learn how to handle someone as difficult as you—even if you’re the size of my thumb.” He winked again, then added, “And if I can make you blush? You have to admit I’m not so clumsy after all.”

Youngsoo raised a brow, clearly amused, but didn’t press another kiss, especially not if it earned a comparison to spoiled food. “Wow,” he said with mock offense, “crushed by a prince no bigger than my palm. My ego may never recover.” But his teasing faded a bit as Yoru kept talking, and his expression softened again. There was something quietly sincere behind the way he watched him now. “You really missed out on a lot back there, huh?” he said gently. “No flirting, no love, no stolen glances with someone who made your stomach do flips, not even once?” He exhaled, then leaned back slightly, letting Yoru have a bit of space, though his eyes never left him. “I think that’s even more of a tragedy than losing your title.” Then, with a slow smirk, he added, “But... lucky for you, you're stuck in this realm now. And flirting with men? Let’s just say it’s very common here.” He winked. “And trust me, if we were the same size? You’d be in trouble, little prince. I’d have you blushing in under a minute. He leaned back in, resting his chin on his palm as he stared down at him. “But maybe... if you’re curious enough… we can still find some way to make up for lost time. Even with the size gap. I like a challenge.”

Youngsoo laughed under his breath, a low, amused sound as he watched that defiant little posture, arms crossed like a sulking prince on a throne made of stubborn pride. “Ohhh, so serious all of a sudden,” he teased gently. “You’re lucky you’re cute when you’re being difficult.” He slowly leaned forward again, resting his arms on the table this time, bringing his face close, but not too close, to where Yoru stood. “You know,” he said softly, “I’ve dealt with wild animals, rebellious guards, and moody nobles, but you, you might be the most challenging little creature I’ve ever met.” Then, with exaggerated care, he reached one finger toward Yoru’s extended hand, barely brushing the tiny fingers in a motion that could barely count as a kiss, more like the softest press of a promise. His smile turned softer “See? That wasn’t so hard.” He pulled his hand back but didn’t break eye contact. “And as for making your heart flutter? I never assume, I experiment,” he said, voice low and teasing. “So tell me… is your heart still steady, little prince? Or is it beating just a little faster now?” He gave a smug grin, like he knew the answer already but wanted to hear it anyway.

Youngsoo wiped his hands and leaned back in his seat, resting his elbows on his knees as he looked down at the tiny, proud figure on his leg. The way the little prince pouted, arms crossed and cheeks slightly puffed out, it was dangerous. Adorable and fiery all in one. He chuckled low, eyes softening. “You think I’m infuriating? You’re this ridiculously tiny royal firecracker with a sharp tongue and a soft heart who refuses to admit he likes the attention.” He smirked, but this time it came with warmth. “Of course, I flirt because it’s fun. But I also flirt because I mean it, sometimes. You’re clever, and brave, and yeah, you still carry yourself like royalty even when curled up in a scarf pouch.” He leaned in a bit, chin resting on one hand as he tilted his head. “And as for that kiss… I don’t have to kiss you on the lips, you know. I could kiss your hand… or your forehead… maybe even your cheek.” A beat. “Whatever makes your tiny heart flutter most.” Then, with a mischievous glint in his eye, he added, “Unless, of course, you're scared it would make your heart flutter. In which case… maybe you should be the one keeping me at arm’s length.” He winked, then leaned back again, just watching him. “So, tell me, Your Tiny Royal Highness… are you being serious when you pout like that, or is that just part of the charm offensive?”

Youngsoo’s smirk softened into something gentler the moment he saw the shift in Yoru’s expression, how his teasing armor cracked just a little. He didn’t speak right away. Instead, he reached up slowly and let his fingertip rest lightly near the edge of the scarf pouch, close but not touching, like he was offering presence rather than pressure. “Hey,” he said, voice low, steady, but no longer teasing. “You’re still you. Stripped titles, broken wings, banishment, none of that takes away who you are.” He paused for a breath. “And if you think size or status scares me off, you really don’t know me yet.” He tilted his head and gave a small, crooked smile. “I flirt because it makes you roll your eyes and huff at me like a little storm cloud, but it’s not a joke to me. You’re not a prince to me because of the crown you used to wear. You’re one because of how you carry yourself… even when everything’s falling apart.” His fingertip lightly nudged the pouch this time, not enough to disturb, just enough to be felt. “And if you want to be more than a pocket prince… I’ll help you figure out who you are now. No crown required.” Then, softer still, with a tiny grin creeping back, he added, “But if I do end up carrying you in my pocket, I’m at least getting a kiss out of it.”
