In 1697, a sudden conflict emerge from the country Novaly and its huge island, 2km away from South East coast of Novaly named Sovas. The people who yet lives in Sovas are protesting that the fact Novaly rarely supported its own people and that the biggest town in the island holds a large amount of population, 1/3 of the population in Novaly. They demanded more protection as pirates always came and threaten the town that is situated close by the sea, sometimes also resulting in deaths of many innocent people, or many of their wealth being stolen from them which resulted for the place to become the second poorest town in the country. They also demanded an official port to be build for travelling between Novaly and Sovas and also providing security in the route since it is rather hard to transport trade items from Sovas to Novaly when there's the lingering threat of pirates.

As the arguments and demands becomes more heated, it resulted in violence between the people of Sovas and Novaly. In the midst of the heated tension, deaths one by one also occured, most of the deaths happened at the sea between Novaly and Sovas since it can hardly be interfered by both sides and that the killers can just simply take all their money, belongings and even ship and then throw away the body to the sea. Therefore the sea is considered as lawless land which anyone can do whatever they wish to do. This information about the so called 'pirates' that were killing people from both sided angered them all as they even prep weapons and ships. And they both started a civil war in the sea. Those who are rather neutral are rather saddened to hear about the civil war between Sovas and Novaly as yet transportation in the sea is rather restricted and all of the coast of Sovas and Novaly is a battle zone. One of the most memorable tragedy that happened during these dreadful times is the Kaskan betrayal. (Which I'm too long to explain, hopefully I'll make a post about it?)

As war still continues endlessly from a generation to another generation, the war started to fade little by little as many people in Novaly gaved up since Sovas has the upper hand. Why? Because as a huge island 2km away from Novaly, most of the people would go fishing as a food source. This made them also expert in sailing and swimming, not to mention the fact that sometimes they used a spear to catch fish, they used that as an advantage in battles. Not for getting fish in the battle, but striking the enemy from a boat nearby using a spear. This, of course, made Novaly worried as many of its people in the army ended up being struck with a spear by the people of Sovas. So they decided to warn any country to not make a trade in Sovas and to start a blockade. Novaly made other countries picture Sovas as people on islands who are violent and dangerous who demand more land and power from Novaly, of course an ally Aneltapor and Nexali stood in a akward position and decided that no such thing would change the people in Sovas so sudden that they turned violent and such. But still unsure, Nexali and Aneltapor decided to not join the civil war as the leader of Nexali stated, "Our country doesn't yet support you Novaly or either Sovas. But I fear if we mix ourself into that problems of yours, lives of innocent people may also be taken away. If you want the civil war to end, don't end it with bloody violence, just surrender. Sovas is a mere island while you are yet... a mere country. You should stop making your hands dirty with the blood of your own people."

The statement shocked the leader Novaly but many of the citizens of Novaly yet agreed to his statement. As they also wanted the war to end and the tension between both sides are lowered. The current leader yet shook his head in disagreement, wishing to not give up his pride.

By 1781, many of the leader of Novaly shook their head also and remained stubborn until a new leader finally stated that he does not want the country to earn a bad reputation and no blood will be spilled again so he spread the statement of surrender in the sea using bottles of glass and papers inside it instead of reaching out with the new leader of Sovas himself, since he worry that something could happen to him during the travel. But Sovas, still angry demanded to be independent from Novaly. This made the leader of Novaly worried as he doesn't know what to do, but because both sides are tired of fighting, the state of each side are not good and food is getting more scarce, Novaly finally agreed to let Sovas be an independant country.

The people of Sovas cheered on as they at last get to be independent and start as a country themselves and build power. Soon, the name Sovas turned into Sovaskan and they finally raised their own flag of theirs after many years of fighting.

They also yet have their own language as they want to amend themselves from Novaly and made the Sovaskian language but since Nexali, Novaly and Aneltapor all used English as one of their main language, they also agreed on taking the English language.

by 1800, all sides became cool with eachother as they all then agreed to form an alliance in the Gestava treaty which is a treaty mainly as a peace-maker between Novaly and Sovaskan, but Aneltapor and Nexali are also roped into it since all these countries are once involved together since they all come from a huge country before, which is Naleone, and they all wanted an alliance since it'll be far easier to help each other in case anything happens.
