Tumblr

Tumblr is exciting right?? What even is it? Why was everyone so excited about it in 2013? Surprising to no one but myself, I've never had a real Tumblr blog of my own. (Technically I apparently made a CW Flash fan account 5 years ago that I only rediscovered by logging into this with my email but let's just ignore that right now.) I think it's suprising because I think I've tried myself out in every other corner of the internet in my first 10 years of using it. Twitter, Reddit, YouTube and a few hundred forums and discussion boards, some of which more dubious than others, and I think I even tried 4chan once?? (Luckily that didn't stick.) I have used the website from time to time however and it's apparent focus on obscure communities has been intriguing me a lot recently. Mostly if not exclusively this is because of YouTuber StrangeAeon's "Tumblr Deep Dive" series. This has led me to wonder, am I missing out? Am I missing my true calling as a member of the satan worship community that I can only find out about by being on this website?? So after years of denial I may have finally accepted my destiny as the owner of a Tumblr blog (Oh god). Life is strange right now, I'm in a new city (Berlin), I'm starting university in October and I've got an absurd amount of free time so why not give this a go. I can't wait to take my first steps and missteps, fall into those lovely pitfalls a naive and curious new user on an internet platform so often does.

Oh and also: the whole gimmick of this blog is that I want to start reading again. A gimmick so loose I already forgot about it by my first post. Also this blog might turn German at any point. Alright.
