✨ First look at the inhabitants of Drawing Memories! ✨
I’m so excited to share the first designs of the inhabitants of this special world. These characters are inspired by a simple, geometric art style, yet with a cute and lovable vibe.
Please keep in mind that we’re still testing styles, ideas, and concepts! This means everything you see here is a work in progress, and none of it will be the final art!
Here are two versions of the characters: one "normal" and the other with a vintage film touch to give it a nostalgic feel. 🎥

Refining Drawing Memories: Artistic Styles and the Role of the Narrator
At Studio Azul Mori, we’re always striving to refine our vision for Drawing Memories. Recently, we updated the pitch for the game, adding exciting new features that deepen the creative and narrative experience.
Artistic Freedom One of the updates we’re most excited about is the ability for players to choose between different artistic styles. Whether it’s the sketchy textures of colored pencils, the fluid beauty of watercolors, or the bold precision of ink, Drawing Memories lets players bring their vision to life in a way that feels uniquely their own.
A Storyteller with Character We’ve also clarified the role of the narrator, a magical storyteller who adds charm and depth to the experience. This character introduces each location with vivid descriptions and provides occasional comments during gameplay. Their remarks are not only entertaining but also guide players subtly, such as hinting that bluebirds might appear if certain trees are planted.
We’re committed to continuously improving Drawing Memories. These updates are just part of our ongoing journey to make the game as meaningful and engaging as possible. We can’t wait to share even more with you soon!
What do you think of these updates? Let us know your thoughts in the comments or share them on social media!

How Wacky Worlds Creative Studio Inspired Drawing Memories
Wacky Worlds Creative Studio by Sega, released in 1994, was a game that celebrated creativity. Players could arrange colorful elements to build their own whimsical scenes. It was simple, fun, and gave you complete control over the world you were shaping.
This concept resonates strongly with what we’re building in Drawing Memories. Like Wacky Worlds, our game focuses on giving players the freedom to create. However, Drawing Memories adds a narrative layer: instead of just imagining a new world, you’re reconstructing a lost one, discovering its stories as you draw.
Both games share a core idea: creativity should be joyful and personal. By blending that freedom with a sense of history, Drawing Memories offers a fresh take on this timeless concept.
What do you think about games that let you create? Let us know in the comments!

🎨 Happy Friday from Studio Azul Mori! ☕
Hi, everyone!
The weekend is just around the corner, and here at Studio Azul Mori, we believe in celebrating the little joys that fuel our creativity—like a cozy cup of coffee. ☕
Today, our artist character from Drawing Memories is joining us to say "Happy Friday!" as they take a well-deserved coffee break. For them, it’s not just about the caffeine—it’s a moment to reflect, dream, and prepare to dive back into the world of memories and stories.
We hope this little reminder inspires you to pause, breathe, and enjoy something simple today. Whether it’s coffee, tea, or a stroll outside, let’s take a moment to recharge and find inspiration in the everyday.
Have a fantastic Friday and a restful weekend! 🌟
—The Studio Azul Mori Team

Designing an artist character is more complicated than it seems!
We want her to reflect a bit of the style of the studio's artists while also being a character that resonates with players.
Here are some ideas we are working on.

2D City-Building Games: Our Inspiration and Vision
Why 2D? Why city-building? These are two questions we’ve asked ourselves countless times, and the answer always comes back to one word: connection. Do you remember, millennials, that during our childhood there were construction games with simple wooden blocks? And that there were also sticker albums, where you placed the stickers on a very simple background? That's where everything comes from!
2D city-building games have a unique magic—they combine the satisfaction of building something from scratch with the beauty of visual simplicity. Games like SimCity and Terraria inspired us, but we wanted to add something different and with a narrative: the chance to connect with the stories of the past and the people who once lived there through little details.
In our game, you’ll not only construct cities but also breathe life into the forgotten. Every building tells a story, and every city has secrets waiting to be discovered. Our vision is to create a game that feels like opening a treasure chest of memories, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
