favorite four (or lu in general) headcanon?

wow! another tough ask…hmm, let me think. Although I think these… will all be pretty common. and you’ve heard them before.

Cause I just tend to go with other peoples flow a lot and it’s tough cause I haven’t written any hcs down (only for Spirit lol) so I tried to pull from my head as much as possible. Ooops. I hope this is somewhat mildly interesting anyway

Four-specific:

- the migraines and portal sickness. its a very common headcanon, but im fond of it.

- Four idolizing the Hero of Men and essentially cosplaying as him. It’s confirmed that he used to look like Wind so the idea he’s modeled himself after his inspiration is cute. Also this means he got a bob after Shadow died so maybe he had like a depression haircut moment

- This one’s more of a joke headcanon but with the progression of Jojos art in the comic we see Fours hair go from very flat to spikier and layered. I like to think the Minish started giving him layers at night as an act of mercy. Start cutting we can save him

- Four keeps little designated places in his house specifically designed to house the Minish. Speaking of the Minish— there’s a lot of angst ideas of him losing his ability to see them. While I like to read them a lot, I honestly think Four will forever be able to see them. He’s special.

- Four struggles being alone. This is also rather common- though most people draw this hc from the colors in one way or another. I do too a bit, but I generally think he’d also struggle because of how loved he was growing up. His environment has always been very welcoming. He also traveled with Ezlo in his first adventure, and the Minish loooove him. He’s always been surrounded by someone, something. So loved. While he keeps to himself in the Chain, I think if somehow he fully separated from them for a long time he wouldn’t handle it so well, even if he split to placate that loneliness. In the end the colors are still split aspects of himself. Have you ever been isolated with your own thoughts for longer periods of time? You’ll go crazy.

- I think he’s got a quieter tone. Umm. All Links can yell (hyaat hya haaa) but I just think he’s on the calmer, softer(?) side. Plus a smaller stature just means your voice will carry less and you tend to have a higher pitch.

- I don’t think he’d realize how distant royalty and nobles would be from the general folk in other Hyrules until he sees it for himself. Remember that where he comes from, he and the princess are not only such good childhood best friends that he’s even close to the king (who is close with his grandfather) but that he and the princess hang out without being supervised and that she regularly sneaks out to see him. I don’t really see this talked about a lot. He’s usually not very surprised by it, but he’s one of the earliest timeline Links. He would be, even if only for a moment.

- Pretty big sweet tooth. I don’t think Four likes vegetables. Yep. The guy that turns his nose up at his greens. Cmon bro

- I think this is somewhat implied in the comic too, but he acts more serious than he really is and suppresses his childish sides. Speaking of, I think he’s one of the most competitive Links if not the most competitive one (a good chunk of his games are multiplayer- where he is NOT afraid of sabotaging himself).

- Another joke-y hc but I like to think as a baby he’s eaten metals in Grandpa Smiths forge and that’s why he’s magnetic. And he’s definitely swallowed a kinstone on accident before.

- I think he’s a bit of a freak. I’m not gonna elaborate on this one cause idk how to explain it. You just have to understand my vibes and catch my drift

- I like to think the POTFS is a canon event in Fours life and that he’s gonna have a very very unfortunate and miserable fate, an early death at best, and that Legend is burdened with that knowledge either pre- or post-adventure. That it will haunt him. Legend and Four have my favorite “uncommon” dynamic.

- The colors split really give a good peek into Fours brain and literally everything thats wrong with him. Now of course, that can be a pretty embarrassing and mortifying ordeal for the fact he can’t keep that vulnerability under lock and key anymore if the colors start going haywire. If anyone saw Reds …everything, and asked him what the deal with that is he’d make sure on mixing laxatives into their food that night.

- I don’t think he holds grudges. But he will remember what you specifically did to annoy him for like 7 months even if it was pretty minor like eating his pudding. Like I think he’s pettier than he looks he just isn’t immature about it and handles himself well. But he won’t forget.

- If he splits to complete any task or chore he just made that chore 4x worse for himself. But he still makes the same mistake over and over in hopes one day… it will go right… (it wont)

- I think Four has potential to be as cat-like as he can be mouse-like. It’s funnier, cause he’s not that fond of cats. Especially because I think Shadow is a cat that purposefully knocks your shit over to piss you off

- His Minish Cap adventure was like a day long. Just kidding. Or Am I…? The time in that game makes no sense. Pretty funny either way.

Other/General Headcanons I’m fond of:

- This one isn’t for everyone, and it’s very far from canon, but I can be free and play touys. Fable and Legend siblingism is something I am fond of. Buuuuuut, I don’t like the idea of this being an open secret everyone knows? In my version of it, only Fable, Legend and maybe Impa are aware, and Legend still lives his life adventuring. Prince Legend or the political conflict here doesn’t intrigue me much unfortunately. I just like the idea of soulmates being platonic/family for these two. That’s all. It’s something special that only the two of them would have.

- Half Fairy/Fairy Hyrule. Self explanatory but the idea of this is always super fun. It makes him a little more mysterious, and makes his origins even more unexplainable. The humble Traveler that came from nowhere and saved Hyrule. Who knows. The world wants to rip him apart but he’s way too resilient. Oh and Hyrule has a penchant for casual slapstick violence

- Hyrule steals Legends food. Takes bites from his spoon. Just steals some meat off his plate. Sometimes in front of him sometimes “secretly”. He specifically does this to Legend. If Ledge is talking to someone and has an apple in his hand? Well watch out. Hyrule is approaching quickly

- Time… tries wayyy too hard to be serious. Everyone idolizes him so much they don’t see it, but whenever he starts using whomst and speaking all wise the “You can’t just use perchance” flashes into my head and I suppress a laugh. Oooh. You’re trying so hard old man. It’s okay. These guys all have sparkly eyes for you. You’ll live. Also he makes bad puns that no one thinks is funny but everyone laughs because they feel bad otherwise

- If Wars turned into an animal it would be a horse. He’d be like that horse from Rapunzel. All expressive and stuff. I also think human Wars can outrun horses and those in pegasus boots. He scares me. I want to punt him

- If Hyrule turned into an animal it’d be a deer. I think this is also common but he’d have giant deadly antlers. awwww.

- I think Wild has a british accent he absorbed from Flora. Yeep. Hahaha.

- I think Wind is the most resilient and he barely if ever gets inured even if he is hit. He’s just built different in a way that really perplexes everyone else that major injuries end up just being small scuffs for him. Like technically he should’ve gotten his skull smashed in half but all he got was a headache and mild concussion

- Legend uuh… he was uuh.. assigned Bisexual at birth. yeah i got nothing im out of juice. sorry wind legend sky twilight ill collect my hcs for you some other time i just dont write this stuff down (maybe i should)

thoughts on the three goddesses? (din, farore, nayru)

i like them a lot but i feel like theres a lot of the lu fandom specifically who dont really understand the role those goddesses play in the history/religion/mythology of hyrule. like they created the world, hylia is a much much smaller goddess compared to those three

Based on the headcanon that after going in the shrine of resurrection Link's eyes started to glow. Not a personal headcanon of mine so I'm not sure if people mean this in the "casts light" way or in the "minecraft glowsquid" way. Either or!

This one is actually pretty old. I posted a wip of it for an ask game a while ago and decided that I should probably finish it! The lighting was painful. But fun.

Also I love love love Zelda but she is a pain and a half to draw (and I don't really like any of her outfits in either game (except the green dress that one is cute)). Do I know how to draw braids? No. Wheat? Yes. So here we are.
