In 2024 we saw students in the West coming together to protest against the Gaza genocide. The student encampments on campuses of prestigious universities rattled the Zionist state, and the lobby and campus administration signed off on brutal crackdowns. I am saying all this to remind you that these universities are complicit!! DO NOT FORGET THAT. Academia has never been a level playing field, and while anti zionist students faced police batons, Gaza saw the destruction of its own education system- with universities and schools bombed, and professors and teachers targeted. This just doesn't seem fair.

It is not fair that Gazan students have to fight not only to survive through the genocide but also to keep their dreams alive. So when the students of Gaza are fighting so hard for their right to education, and thus pushing back against the occupation, the least we could do is stand in solidarity. Which is why I am requesting you to donate to The Isnad Foundation, which is currently supporting fourty students. They urgently need to raise $3,500 in seven days to continue to provide students with a rented room with power and net connection. Please do whatever you can to support them.

There are 8 days left until the goal closes. Unfortunately, I did not receive the requested amount. We continue to publish hour after hour, but to no avail. We have $3,200 left, and unfortunately, the Isnad Initiative students will not be able to obtain study seats. Gaza students need this amount to save their dream, their future, and their families! 😭

For the first time, I see Isnad Initiative students in this state, broken, lacking passion, feeling hopeless. 40 students, both male and female, are broken!! And all this because of only $3,200 left! They are in dire need of this money. I have never seen them in such weakness before. Everyone was completing their dream with a small laptop and a simple study desk.

But today?!

Will these heroes' dream end for $3,500?

Will they return to their tents disappointed and tell their families that they were unable to complete their education? And consequently, they won't receive food this month. How weak and feeble we are today in the eyes of this world! Our only goal has become obtaining internet, electricity, and a simple chair!! And yet we are still unable to provide this.

With GoFundMe arbitrarily shutting down Gazan campaigns, my friend Anas @dr-anas96 has created a Chuffed campaign.

For those who don't know, Anas is a medical student who is currently trapped in Gaza, but doing everything in his power with his knowledge as a doctor to support his community and keep them safe.

He fell ill with gastric cancer and his fundraiser money is his sole lifeline in order to afford medicine and feed his starving family.

i don't know how to phrase this but it feels so horrible seeing palestinians having to request strangers here for donations. they are having to put photos of their kids in hopes that it tugs the heartstrings of someone who sees it and then donates to them.

we've seen nearly 20 months of genocide and we've lost so many thousand people from gaza. i genuinely do not understand anyone who doesn't feel genuine heartache and grief for palestine.

gaza was so full of life and light. it physically hurts to see the aftermath of the destruction led by the occupation. homes and schools and hospitals and parks are all rubble now.

despite all this death and destruction, palestinians are trying to survive and maintain hope for the future.

personally, i’m loving this summer because i’ll be traveling to oregon :)

unfortunately, for many people, the ability to travel is a luxury they do not have access to. one of those people is my friend ibrahim, who i’ve been fundraising for for some time now.

ibrahim is a teenage boy in gaza trying to raise funds to evacuate himself and his family — especially his father, who has bladder cancer and needs a medical evacuation ASAP. this is possible — but only if ibrahim can raise the funds to make it happen.

Ibrahim is one of the Palestinians that I've known since the beginning of the genocide along with Nader. His father is currently in a grave situation as his cancer keeps spreading. With the murderous Zionists still keeping the borders close, it makes it all the more difficult for this young boy to help his father evacuate. But with the US regime now making significant changes in its political attitude towards the genocide, even putting the Settler state in a state of anxiety, there is still hope that Ibrahim can prepare to evacuate his father as soon as the border crossing opens.
