This but with Numby and Reader’s warp trotter. Then you know the usual feelings start to develop. Like excuses are thrown to meet up like Topaz needs help with her pets or you saying your trotter misses Numby.

Pier point , the headquarters of the IPC. It was a bustling place to say the least, a place where the workers met and discussed plans, fulfilled duties and obligations. Pier point also served as a place of residency for most of the workers, and had various luxury establishments. A few examples were it's shopping district, luxury restaurants, and so on. The department building you worked in was already so big, you couldn't even comprehend how big the entirety of Pier point is.

Working in the IPC was often demanding, especially since you've been climbing the ranks lately. More business trips, and more paperwork. Certainly not a pleasant experience, but seeing your pet warp trotter, Bibi, made it all worth it.

But you decided to take your love for your warp-trotter friend even further, and brought them to work on several occasions. At first you got a warning, then the higher ups just stopped caring. Once one of your fellow co-worker's found out, they said..

"You know [name], I heard that someone from the strategic investment department also has a warp trotter like yours!"

Interesting. You thought to yourself, maybe one day you'd have the privilege of meeting this mystery person. But you doubt it, after all, you were caught up in a web of work at the current moment. So there was simply no time, or so you thought.

You were taking a stroll with Bibi, allowing them to wander around one of the parks in Pier Point.

The garden was quite breath-taking, and a fresh sight for someone who has been staring at the seemingly perpetual lines of words within the paperwork you were subjected to stare at daily.

Being mesmerized by the verdant sunset, you didn't notice your warp trotter wobbling happily towards another direction, until you heard multiple oink's and another woman's voice. Intrigued, you decided to check out what was going on.

"Numby? Do you know this trotter?"

"Oink!"

The scene baffled you, why was your Bibi stacked onto another trotter, presumably by the name of "Numby?"

You quickly looked at the owner, wait.. was that Topaz? One of the Stoneheart's of the strategic investment department?

Personally, you didn't really care much about gossip of other departments, as it didn't interest you.

Although.. the Strategic Investment Department's stone hearts were often a hot topic in discussions that your co-workers talked about. You couldn't lie, sometimes it did intrigue you, the elites of that department certainly were very unique based on rumors you heard, but you tried not to get all that rumor bullshit inside your head.

A bizarre look of perplexity was the only thing written on your face, your head taking it's sweet time to process all this. You sighed, and walked up to the two trotters and the respective owner of one of them.

".. I'm sorry," You say with a sigh, "Bibi, please get off.."

But to no avail, is this how Warp trotters bond? Why are they even bonding in the first place? All that was still a huge mystery to you.

"It's alright!" she says, just enjoying the sight and snapping a quick pic, because despite the confusing situation, it still was incredibly wholesome/

"Do you know what's going on?" You ask curiously, looking at the liquidator.

Then it clicked, Topaz was that person who also had a warp trotter.

That extremely baffled you, and once again you were spiraling down into a state of pure confusion.

"I think.. they might be from the same litter?" Topaz says, though there was a hint of doubt in her tone.

"If that's the case, maybe we should just let them be for the meantime- if you don't have any other matters you need to attend to.." You attempted to have a calm and composed demeanor while talking to her, but you couldn't help but feel quite nervous.

Why? You had no clue.

Maybe it was because she was in a way higher position then you. Sure, you were currently P37, but.. it wasn't that significant compared to her.

Or perhaps it was just how pretty she was in person, you saw her in some advertisements and of course, admired her looks but this was way more different.

Was this a crush, nah, it couldn't be. It's too soon, this isn't a stupid love story.

Noticing how your previously calm demeanor started to shift to something different, Topaz immediately reassured you.

"Of course it's alright with me, if they are siblings, we should let them bond!" She says with a rather enthusiastic tone. That eased the tension pretty well.

She smiles, having a joyful expression printed on her face.

"They are cute together." You agreed, then decided to shift the conversation around to her. Topaz seemed to be rather interesting, so might as well try to make a new friend.

"So, you're Topaz?"

"Yup! That's me. And you are?"

"Ah.. just [name]." you reply, now suddenly feeling shy despite initiating the conversation.

"Hmm.. [name]. What department do you work in?"

Ah. The century long question.

"I work in the Traditional Project Department."

You knew that the Traditional Project Department had a reputation for being known as the "Retirement home" and other friends who worked for the IPC often suggested you just switched to another department, but you could care less.

"That's... interesting. Well! Maybe we should have Numby and Bibi meet up every once in awhile? It could be good for both of them."

And us. She would have said. Truth be told, Topaz already took a high interest in you. It was rare to meet members of the Traditional Project Department as they didn't make the majority of workers, and was rather curious about you in general.

At first sight, there was something about you that pulled her in, and she couldn't put her finger on it.

"I can work with that, just give me your contact info."

You felt rather cheeky asking for her phone number, but hey- whatever gets you closer to her! Right?...

Your face remained rather stoic but you were giggling and blushing inside at the thought of getting her number, even if it wasn't for the intentions you were originally planning.

"Alright, here- It's XXX-XXX-XXX, actually, just give me your phone." She say's, and without hesitation, you handed over your phone and added herself onto your contact list.

I love Aventurine's relationship with Jade because it's interesting. The way she's clearly manipulative and using him but he also seems to see her as a bit of a motherly/mentor figure while clearly fearing/disliking her and being aware of her manipulation is complex and intriguing.

I love Aventurine's relationship with Sparkle because it's interesting. The way she really tries to hit below the belt with her insults towards him, yet expresses disappointment at the thought of him failing/dying and gives him subtle clues throughout their conversation is entertaining and chaotic.

Yes, Jade doesn't care about Aventurine as a person. Yes, Sparkle has absolutely no boundaries with how she insulted Aventurine. No, that doesn't ruin their respective dynamics and I wish ya'll would delve deeper into their relationships w/ Aventurine because like these could be written in so many fun and complex and intriguing ways besides "they're both bitches and Jade is a complete ASSHOLE towards him who only exists for fanservice while Sparkle is RACIST and completely hates Aventurine!!!" No they could have interesting (admittedly very fucked up) dynamics, (most of) you just don't like toxicity outside of Raturine or Avenday yaoi. Like Jade and Aventurine have so much "manipulative hurt/comfort" or "found family but toxic" potential. Sparkle and Aventurine have so much "insane besties who act like and might actually hate each other but continue to hangout cause no one else will match their insane freak" potential.
