here’s the thing here’s the thing here’s the thing. if supernatural was going to have prophets who are ripped apart by the voice of god and forced into a life of service, stripped of normalcy, sam should’ve been one. and he thinks it’s his duty, because of course he does, but dean knows better than god himself so one night, late season two, he drugs sam asleep and puts a gun to his head and pulls the trigger because the only way out for prophets is death. and then dean calmly puts the gun away and goes to a crossroad and brings him back.
and sam is alive but stripped of what made him holy. and kevin tran wakes up across the country and his life is ruined.
