Hello!
I’m Ava, I’m a 25 year old PhD student studying pop music fandoms and fangirls. I’m from Los Angeles but currently live in a small village in the North of England. I moved to the UK in 2020 and have no plans of leaving. Alongside my degree I teach undergraduate modules on media studies, film, journalism, etc. My background is in Social Research (MA) and Magazine Writing/Sociology (BA).
I have a dog, Arrietty, and a cat, Esther. I love to cook, bake, knit, and sew. I’m trying to get into gardening, and I’m getting back into Ballet after quitting due to injury as a teen.
I’m disabled, AuDHD, and queer, and these things colour every opinion I have. Radical Leftist trying to navigate a crumbling Higher Education system.
