I've wanted to draw a character with some kind of lava lamp element and a Colombian lesser black tarantula and realized that those ideas could go together quite well, so we got this guy! (If anyone has name suggestions I'm stuck on ideas)

I really like Colombian lesser black tarantulas because of they are one of the types of tarantula that has a mutualistic relationship with frogs; the tarantulas don't hunt the frogs and keep predators away while the frogs eat insects that are too small for the tarantulas too eat but some of which could harm the tarantula's eggs. The Colombian lesser black also has some fantastic coloration which is what gave this guy their coloration and pattern.
