Closing up shop
Hello, followers! (Or, at least, the seven and a half of you that aren’t porn bots!) As you probably know, Tumblr has made some exceedingly poor decisions, and this is no longer a welcome site for, uh, anyone, really.
Because of this, we’ll be closing down. I’ve made sure to save every single post made, and if anyone wants a permanent archive (in the event this blog gets purged by Tumblr), I’ll be happy to send out the zip for it (it’s pretty small, only 280kb, since it’s just plain text). Since I’m going to be leaving Tumblr as well, you can get in contact with me on Pillowfort after the 16th.
Best of wishes to everyone!

Little headcanons: champion edition
Blue is agender, androphilic, and has ADHD. He eventually marries his childhood rival, Red.
Lance is biromantic demisexual and *shrug* about gender, using any pronouns. He has impulse and anger problems that he’s working through with therapy.
Steven is aromantic, asexual, agender, and autistic, and occasionally jokes about collecting As along with rocks and minerals, having a friendly rivalry with Blue. He’s in a QPP with Wallace.
Wallace is genderfluid and pansexual, and uses most pronouns with a preference for they/them. They’re in a QPP with Steven. They’re part of an ethnic minority that originates from around Sootopolis and have started a small museum attached to the gym about their history and culture.
Cynthia is aromantic pansexual with a preference for women. She has depression, well controlled with medication. She travels frequently, working with advocacy programs around the world.
Alder is gay, and is now starting to explore both gender and being out after decades of being closeted, being in the public eye, and having kids and grandkids. He’s the Pokeverse equivalent of Native American.
Iris is biromantic and she’ll get back to you on the sexuality side. Along with her Champion duties, she’s an Unovan poster girl for Black Girl Excellence. (And Magic. Just look at that princess dress!)
Diantha is a Jewish trans woman and lesbian. She’s one of Kalos’ most visible and outspoken advocates on LGBTQ+ issues.

Quick Question: Would a headcanon about a character being experimented on-leaving it at that, no gorey details of course- be too much for this blog? Cause I've had one for a long time and I'm not sure if I can send it here.
...Hm. That’s a possibly contentious one. One of the reasons I started the blog was for reasons of representation; having characters that people could see themselves in. Most people aren’t experimented on, so it goes a little outside that scope. Maybe if you post it more along the lines of experimentation being a trauma and their responses to it, instead of the headcanon focusing on ‘being experimented on’ as the main subject?

Gladion is gay and demiagender and he struggles with anxiety. He calms himself down from panic attacks using Silvally's fur as a comforting texture. Ilima is nonbinary, gay, and autistic, with a special interest in Pokemon Battling, Normal Type Pokemon and the Eeveelutions. Gladion and Ilima are dating, though Gladion's kept it a secret from everyone excluding Lillie, who supports him wholeheartedly.

Ilima is amab nonbinary, and every in-game instance of them being referred to with he/him pronouns is due to either the person referring to them not knowing that they're nonbinary or not understanding that they prefer they/them

The Pokémon world has a much tighter diagnostic criteria for autism than our world; by our standards, most if not all Pokémon characters would be autistic

Bugsy is a trans girl, but she can't come out due to transphobic parents. She tries to look as feminine as possible to cope with dysphoria, and she hates having to 'correct' people who 'mistake' her for a girl

Lusamine has ptsd resulting from losing Mohn. In SuMo canon, she repressed the memories as a result of Nihilego’s influence, and only uncovered them after going to Kanto with Lillie. In USUM canon, she never moved on until after the events of the game. This also contributed to severe depression and worsening schizophrenia (which she was diagnosed with previously but was being treated for it).

Steven Stone is autistic and has a lot of difficulty telling the difference between friendly teasing and bullying due to his low social skills. This has led to him having a rocky relationship with his father (who doesn't understand why he takes it so personally) and has caused him to lost a lot of friends after presuming they hated him because of one joking comment.

Leaf is autistic, and at some point during school one of her special interests was a TV show designed for girls much younger than her, leading to her classmates bullying her for it. The constant bullying led to her developing depression and social anxiety and eventually contributed to her decision to become a Pokémon Trainer to get away from it all.

Moon (I always imagined that Sun was the player in Sun and Moon was the player in Moon, for obvious reasons) is narcoleptic. She finds it easier to stay awake during the night, which is why she normally does most of her training late at night.

Hau is pansexual and in a polygamous relationship with both Sun and Gladion, who are bisexual and gay respectively. Moon and Lillie are both lesbians and dating, and Lillie's in a quasi/queerplatonic relationship with Sun and Hau.

I'm not sure if you accept headcanons about the manga, but I fell in love with this idea yesterday and I have to post it somewhere: Yellow from Pokémon Adventures is actually a trans boy, and that's why he didn't have a problem with presenting masculine when Green/Blue (depending on whether you read the English or Japanese version) told him to and why he continued to present masculine long after it was necessary.
