Night Feeders is Now Available as an AI Audiobook
For years I’ve struggled to produce audiobooks for many of my stories due to the high price point. Especially for my shorter works. This has been frustrating since I know I have readers who prefer some form of audiobook over ebooks. It’s always been an accessibility issue that’s bothered me. It can exclude readers with eyesight issues or those who are uncomfortable with ebooks. I’m happy to…

Happy Release Day to A Beautiful Specimen
Happy Release Day to A Beautiful Specimen
Every year I try to release a standalone short story that is more on the weird/bizarre side of horror. Sometimes it turns into a story about a woman out on the open sea trying to find answers to her mysterious past. And other times it turns into a horror scifi piece that definitely leans into the bizarre. Inspired by the femme fatale stories I’ve loved and the disturbing science fiction stories…

Check out these cool pics of the Catstruck anthology paperbacks that came in!

All proceeds go to Tenth Life Cat Rescue who help stray cats and focus on kitties with special needs. All of the cat themed stories range from fantasy to horror to mystery.
As someone who has rescued many cats over the years, this collection was really important to me. If you want to help support a good cause, you can grab at copy here:

Shout out to writers not doing NaNoWriMo
You are valid, you are still a writer - you do not need to participate to join in the chats and fun.
You are doing just fine, and we all believe in you!

Sending good luck to everyone working on NaNoWriMo this weekend!
I finished up a major manuscript deadline on Monday and need a break before hopping into my next project. I ended up getting almost 15k in two days and oof. Deadlines really get me writing haha
I’m not really participating in NaNo this year, but totally supporting y’all. My first book that got published with a small press was a NaNo project, so yes, writing dreams can come true if you keep working at it!
*cheering y’all on in the stands!*

I’m back on Tumblr again after a long hiatus! Well, not really a hiatus. I do cross post my website blog posts over here regularly, but I haven’t made a post in a while.
I went through and renamed this blog, updated my profile pic and header. All the normal housekeeping things. With Twitter being a dumpster fire, I decided to come back to the place that was there for me when the last social media site I relied upon went under. (Livejournal, I’m looking at you!)
I like to think of my different social media profiles as different avenues of engagement. Different styles. My Facebook is more for networking with authors and Instagram is more casual with occasional cosplay pics since that’s how I got started there. Ko-Fi is for behind the scenes and sneak peeks, and my newsletter is my primary communication tool with my readers.
As for Tumblr? I’m still figuring that out.
After spending most of October at conventions doing a dozen panels on writing and marketing, maybe opening up for questions would be fun. Or chatting about my writing progress. Or tips on getting into the convention scene. I don’t know.
Either way, it’s great to be back again!

Emporium Sale, Catstruck, and a New Short Story
October sure got away from me! After having some sort of event or show every weekend and followed up with a manuscript deadline, I’m just now getting back online again and doing more besides lurking! I’ve got several announcements and sales to share. First up, it’s the start of a big 99cent sale for Emporium of Superstition! We were fortunate to nab a Bookbub promo for this beast of an…

Happy Release Day to The Hunters of Kanta!
Happy Release Day to The Hunters of Kanta!
I’m so thrilled to share that it’s the book birthday of The Hunters of Kanta, Book 3 in The Wolves of Kanta series! Mercy and Andrei are headed to Crowsmirth in this action-packed book. Now that they have a new way to combat werewolves, they have to seek out the werewolf camps deep in the woods. That proves difficult when they only have so much daylight and the night is full of terrors. Mercy…

Happy Cover Reveal to The Hunters of Kanta
Happy Cover Reveal to The Hunters of Kanta
I’m so thrilled to share the cover for third book in The Wolves of Kanta series! It’s amazing to me how quickly this series is getting out into the world! Book 3 is quite gory, especially compared to the first two books in the series, but that’s to be expected when you’re writing in a post-apocalyptic world with so many werewolves. I had a lot of fun with continuing Mercy’s journey as she works…

Collaboration is Key
Every book I write is a collaborative effort. I always try to emphasize that because there’s a perception that books are only crafted by the author. While that may be the case for some books, it is not the case for mine. I ran into trouble trying to find an editor for The Blood of Kanta and the rest of The Wolves of Kanta series. I thought I had someone lined up, but it turned out that was for a…

Happy Release Day to The Blood of Kanta
Happy Release Day to The Blood of Kanta
Grab Your Copy It was 2018 and the reviews were pouring in for my first ever solo publication: The She-Wolf of Kanta published under Aurelia Leo. Readers loved it. They loved Mercy, the dystopian world, the werewolves… the only consistent critique they had was that it was too short. They wanted more! At first I laughed it off, not sure how I could possibly continue the story. The book was a…

Feeling Superstitious?
I’m pleased to share that Midnight Tide Publishing has setup a Kickstarter for Emporium of Superstition – a collective anthology of horror and dark fantasy tales based on superstitions. Pledge tiers include everything from getting a personal acknowledgement in the book to incredible swag like bookmarks, horror themed candles, and a custom art piece to be commissioned from my sister and partner…

Happy Cover Reveal to The Blood of Kanta!
Happy Cover Reveal to The Blood of Kanta!
Here we are! Happy Cover Reveal to The Blood of Kanta, Book 2 of The Wolves of Kanta series! It honestly took me some time to figure out where I wanted Blood of Kanta to go. If you’ve read Book 1, The She-Wolf of Kanta, you understand the intense moment the first book leaves off at. It was a hard decision trying to figure out where to take the story next. The city of Kanta itself is as much a…
