This alien-like creature has been discovered 12,139 feet below the surface of the ocean. It was discovered by NOAA’s Okeanos Explorer near Guam in the western Pacific Ocean. It has been described by scientists as a “stunningly beautiful jellyfish” and is believed to be an entirely new species.

My friend Karinya has been living with a rare form of cancer called Paraganglioma. She bought tickets to see Florence and the Machine play in Austin months ago and has been so excited to go, but was not able to since she is bedridden in a hospice care facility. So Florence and Rob came to visit and played an hour long private concert for us in Karinya’s room! We can not thank them enough for giving her this gift.

Archeoastronomy: From Ancient to Ancient (Sky)
Just imagine how overwhelming the night sky would have been to our ancestors, and what the true meanings of these ancient, awe-inspiring structures, were to them.
What we know today is that most of them were at the same time temples for gods, sun, moon, planets and star worship, healing centers, burial sites and even calendars. Yet, we still cannot understand how did our ancestors manage to carry the mighty stones, and using only the most primitive of tools, to build this amazing structure?
Perhaps the answers are written in the stars, as they are the only ones who witnessed what happened long before we came here. What is certain is that surrounded by the deepest mysteries, these monuments never fail to impress.
