Aujourd'hui 20 novembre, c'est le TDOR, le Transgender Day of Remembrance. Un jour où la communauté trans et non binaire se souvient et rappellent les noms de ses mort'es, de celleux que nous avons perdus par assassinats, sui*ides ou précarités.

Les premières victimes sont les femmes trans et personnes transfems noires, latinx, et plus généralement racisées, dû à la violence transmisogyne et raciste étatique.

Nous les recensons et en faisons le décompte tous les ans, même si beaucoup de mort'es restent invisibles, du fait du mégenrage / deadnaming des proches, des journalistes, de la police...etc :

Pour ce jour j'ai décidé de reprendre un ancien dessin que j'avais fait pour l'inktober de 2016, l'année de mon premier coming out.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, please spare a moment to mourn trans people who died in the closet.

People who were misgendered in their eulogies.

People whose lives were cut short before they could bloom.

People whose secret clothes will be thrown out.

People who couldn't survive the oppressive forces of transphobia.

People who took their own lives because the suffering of the closet was too much for them to bear.

People who were forced from their homes or their jobs because of their genders and died on the streets, or in poverty, socially murdered.

People who could've lived if they had a safe, welcoming community.

People whose identities were disrespected, mocked, and hated both in life and in death.

People who died on a waiting list.

People who died before they could get on a waiting list.

People who were denied the opportunity to express themselves, to live as themselves.

People whose graves are desecrated with a deadname.

If you're out and reading this: Help your sisters, brothers, and siblings in the closet. Listen to them when they ask for your aid. Reach out to them. Buy them clothes. Send them money. Tell them things about your own transition. More than anyone else, closeted trans people need community and support.

Mourn the dead, fight like hell for the living.

a positive side of this situation is that a 90 minute episode might take a lot less time to drop meaning they’ll get their happy ending sooner

it’s okay to be upset about the 90 minutes. it really is.

but as it’s been confirmed, we got a bit too close to an actual cancellation, so these 90 minutes are actually a miracle.

if we keep complaining, who’s to say they won’t take that away too? who’s to say they won’t go “alright then, cancelled it is”.

so guys, let’s show some love to Rob and Rhianna for securing us those 90 minutes. at least we have SOMETHING to look forward to.

Went to an alternative Drag show a few days ago, was allowed to owl and bark LOUD in there to cheer up the performers (one on them had a dog-boy themed performance) ... god I love this kind of space where I can be myself, with tail, collar and barks !

fanfiction can be better than the source material because the source material is almost always this carefully planned marketing strategy, full of meticulously calculated editor choices and alterations of the creator's vision made to keep investors happy.

but fanfiction is the work of a deranged freak who's overly passionate and wrote it out of nothing but pure love.

or pure hate.

or pure lust.

but either way. it's something pure.

something fascinating. with endless potential. and you'll never ever see a compromise on the artist's vision. fanfiction is the totality of someone's freak.

and I love it for that reason.

It was one of my first time doing a comic but I'm so happy I had the opportunity to draw this little idea I had in mind!
