Side Biz Status Update!
One of my yearly/life goals is stash busting and I’ve made some decent progress in that regard. These two items have been added to my shop! I have a lot more to go but I’m making some decent headway. My last round of decluttering unearthed even more damn yarn but I am not deterred. I will make things out of all the yarn I’ve bought and do my best to sell them. I know they’re some very simple…

Today's Workout: Dangerous Food
While not back to how I felt last week, my knees are doing so much better. I can’t wait to get back to running. I wanna continue with the Zombies Run story and the show I’ve picked to watch during the breaks is Sakamoto Days. When I pick a show to watch on the treadmill, I do not watch a single second outside of a workout day. It’s a fun little way to motivate myself and finally make a dent in…

Patreon Pause
As I do not have any supporters here, I will not be posting any further updates to these stories to my Patreon. Once I get some followers, I’ll resume again. This doesn’t mean I won’t keep working on these stories and I’ll of course keep this blog updated with my progress but, it’s not worth stressing out making posts nobody reads. If this changes, I’ll let ya’ll know! Follow me on BlogLovin.

Today's Workout: Damn camera...
My knees are still not up to snuff but there’s no way I’m gonna just sit idle. Not only did I do this, I took a half an hour walk to get lunch (my kid ate what I was saving to bring with me) and hit the supermarket to get some decent deals. That walk once again showed me that a damn curb is enough to humble my joints at the moment.  Since I had to go out and get lunch, I decided on a lemon tuna…

Today's Workout: UGH!!
“What’s up, Lenni? I thought you liked running again?” That’s an excellent question and the answer is there are some months where my period hits harder than others and this month was a bad one. My joints are in agony. Just taking a step up or down the curb is so painful, I was almost tempted to use the ramps. If I can’t go up or down the stairs of my own home without wincing, the treadmill is…

"No." The King gawked. "No? Why? I am offering you the Hand of my daughter to slay the Dragon that roams the Lands! A man would kill for such an opportunity!" "Because I will not hurt an innocent animal that just follows his migratory pattern. And I am already married."

Today's Workout: Meh on the tofu...
I can already tell I’m gonna have to increase my speed soon but I don’t want to push it. I’m just happy to be moving regularly. I still have a bit to go but I am determined to finally get under 200 before summer comes. I keep saying that but, I think if I keep up this workout schedule, I’ll finally hit this goal. I didn’t have time for breakfast before my run so, I made myself a sandwich and…

I made these as a way to compile all the geographical vocabulary that I thought was useful and interesting for writers. Some descriptors share categories, and some are simplified, but for the most part everything is in its proper place. Not all the words are as useable as others, and some might take tricky wording to pull off, but I hope these prove useful to all you writers out there!

Today's Workout: Getting better!
I can tell I’m hitting my stride. My form isn’t always the best which leads to a little back pain but my legs are getting stronger and my stamina is increasing. If things start to get too easy, I’ll be upping my speed on the run intervals. My pace could use some improvement. I’d gone to the pharmacy and snagged some almonds on sale. They make a great quick breakfast and paired well with the…

Today's Workout: Veggie Race
I had the day off from work but that doesn’t mean I took a break. I got up early for this run and spent the day doing chores, including planting those seeds I’ve been talking about. I have some herbs, cucumber, lettuce, radishes, scallions, and white onions. I have one whole container of just white onion because in my house, it’s always a race to get to them first. For me, those work best in my…

Lenni Reviews: "Spent: A Comic Novel" by Alison Bechdel
(Image Source) *This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review and is suggested for mature readers.  While called a novel in the title, this memoir details Alison living with her partner on their pygmy goat sanctuary as she tries to come up with and pitch her next book. I love how self-reflective this is and not because it makes me feel less crazy for doing the same thing: looking at…

Lenni Reviews Challenge Edition: "Playground" by Aron Beauregard
(Image Source) *This book contains VERY adult themes. It is not for children or the faint of heart. Geraldine Borden offers the chance of a lifetime for three low-income families to test out her state-of-the-art playground equipment in exchange for a substantial payout. Little do the parents know that these new devices are deadly, putting their children in grave danger. Trigger warning for……

Lenni Reviews: "Hirayasumi" Vol. 3, by Keigo Shinzō
(Image Source) *This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review. After Natsumi’s manga wins an award, she goes to meet with an editor for a publishing company. Yomogi has a particularly picky client looking for an apartment who she runs into outside of work and Hideki comes to visit with his wife, Saki, and their baby. As the cast grows a bit more, we have some delightful introspection…

Today's Workout: New Itaki Ingredient
Since I had a doctor’s appointment before work, I didn’t have the time for a run. I did the desk peddler during a webinar instead. Not as intense but, anything is better than sitting and doing nothing. A friend gave me some bagels and I used one to make myself an egg and turkey sausage sandwich for lunch. And I managed to get eggs before they were over $3.00. I have a feeling that won’t happen…

Today's Workout: Sounds Familiar
This mission was cute! It kinda reminded me of that one Black Mirror episode only significantly less depressing and more fun because I got my workout in. This time I did two minute run, two minute walk and that’s very manageable for now. I’ll probably keep that up. I mostly felt sore in my thighs which is fine because I’m trying to get muscle definition there instead of my calves. Yeah, I goofed…

Today's Workout: Veggie Hog
I can already feel my stamina coming back! Sticking to 30 minutes for a while seems to be doing the trick. I’m just gonna stick with that until it feels too easy. Then I’ll work my way up to 40 minutes and try to increase my speed. It was a typical food day aside for the salad. I was craving one yesterday but I was so tired, I didn’t wanna stand there chopping vegetables. No excuse for that…
