The Sun

The sun plays a key role in astrology & sets the precedent for knowledge people can acquire of the deeper aspects of natal charts. It is who we are past our rising sign and governs: ego, how you interact with the world on a daily basis (superficial level), the raw outward self & its means of expression, it is how we relate ourselves to the world. Our sun sign isn't necessarily a mask that we slip on to deceive, but it is not who we are at our core either; it's an identity that comes easily to us - a secondary part of ourselves that is easier to wield then say, the aspects of our Moon Sign. It's a more compact way to present ourselves to others.

I'm working on the last of the asks. I've gotten a lot of compatibility asks, and plenty of asks that actually violate my ask policy by quite a bit. I'm answering them only because as of late I've had a ton of snow days. So brace yourselves, the asks are coming.

What about the charts don’t you understand? Charts are so complicated and detailed, I wouldn’t be able to look at it and summarize it without practically writing you a book. I’d be very happy to take it piece by piece, so it doesn’t get too monotonous for either of us.

Hey, was just wondering if you could help me with my personality ? If that makes sense. I'm a cancer sun and an Aquarius moon. July 6th 1993 is my birthday if that helps. I would like someone to explain what type of person this makes me ? Like am I more cancer or Aquarius (sometimes I feel like more of an Aquarius but emotional like cancer) is there a way you can explain all of this so that it makes sense ? What does it mean to be both ?

Hey there, I would love to cast up a birth chart for you, but I need a place of birth at least and a time of birth, if provided, would give me more accuracy and detail in the cast. Since I can't do it myself I'll link you to Astrotheme, 800, and Cafe so you can cast your own birth chart and come back with your questions.

As for Moon v.s. Sun sign: Your Moon sign is who you are at your core. Think of your Sun sign as a bubble around you, the Lunar Aquarius. You might relate to Cancer on an emotional level because their could be a lot of Cancer or Water than Air in your chart. If you use the 800 website linked above, it provides you with cool little charts that tell you how many "feminine"/"masculine" signs you have, how many cardinal/mutable/fixed, and how many air/fire/water/earth. 

I'd also like to point out that in mainstream society we usually only talk about Sun signs, and most people know nothing beyond that about astrology. So it could be just a lingering attachment to that sign, because I see a lot of people that aren't very deep into astrology acting as if your Sun Sign governs everything & is the only sign. And there's also the misconception that Air signs are unfeeling, which is very untrue- coming from someone with an Air dominate chart. I hope this helped! How did you get so good at astrology/how long did it take you to get this good?

Well, I started studying it in the 6th grade and I’m in 10th now, so my blog will sum up 4 years of studying. It’s scary though because I still don’t know everything & I’ve already dedicated 3 notebooks to the subject lmao

Edit: Also, if you want to become better in your astrological endeavors, I suggest starting with your own birth chart, or birth charts of people you know. Get one of the astrology sites to draw it up for you, read that, write it down, whatever you want to do with the information it provides; then sit and think about it yourself. Interpret each and every aspect mentally, think about what it means to have Saturn in Taurus by considering how the aspects of Saturn’s rule may clash and uplift Taurus’s qualities.

Hey guys, I've been getting a lot of asks lately! I love having asks to come back to and I always appreciate them.

If your ask isn't answered by tomorrow (Friday) then expect it done some point during the weekend. I would usually just muscle through it but I just came off winter break & straight into studying for midterms.

My school district planned poorly, so we only have a week to study before they commence on January 19th.
