Kitty: Relax, mom, we were out getting mad stacks of loot. And by loot I mean candy. Also, this was like...Bart, these pictures are from a month ago.

Bartimaeus: We've been partying hard.

Kitty: You inhaled an entire bag of fun-sized snickers and went into a candy-coma. You didn't wake up for a good seventeen hours.

Nathaniel: Your jaw unhinged like a snake. It was beautiful and terrifying.

Bartimaeus: Honestly, none of you know how to party hard. I am the only one of us who went into a sugar-coma post-Halloween. I'm ashamed of all of you. I can't BELIEVE none of you know how to induce high blood-sugar content. That, after all, being the science behind the matter.

Ptolemy: Actually, I just want to know the science behind these photos taking a full month to develop.

Bartimaeus: You have to give the film TIME, oh endlessly impatient one. Time is the matter that will soothe men's souls!

Ptolemy: Queezle says you left your camera at her apartment. She brought the photos here eventually.

Bartimaeus: She waited a month. I feel betrayed.

Bartimaeus: And she left with Solomon and Asmira without even inviting me!

Bartimaeus: We don't know what happened. I don't know what happened. The angriest I'd ever seen him before was when he took mister Rogers' name in vain. But his friends were threatened. Myself, specifically, but all of us in a broad manner.

Bartimaeus: I don't think he remembers, though. And we've decided it's best not to tell him. I mean, we tried a couple times, but it...went poorly. He just didn't believe us. I wouldn't, either, if I were in his position.
