So, question for Fusion. This may be a bit personal, so you don't have to answer. What was it like in the void?

Question for everyone, since Gaskin doesn't know when to shut up (as stated in his 'reference sheet') how long can he talk for and have you ever timed it?
Atana: Oh! We tried to time him one time, Fusion hid us in a void cloak for a bit so he wouldn’t find us and her majesty yelled out something to get him fired up! It was really funny to watch him rant!
Queen: How many times have I told you to just call me Queen... -_-||
Fusion: The total time was two minutes, forty-three seconds.

For The Crown - Chapter 2
"So, what do you think the next obstacle is?" Said the slime creature. "I don't know. It could be anything, really." I said. "First was a giant lion, that was felled pretty easily. Second, was Floor Is Lava, a human game, so that was easy enough. Third, the scafolding with the water and the giant killer sharks, that was easy enough if you knew what you were doing, and fourth was this." I counted off the obstacles on my right hand. It was like a giant obstacle course. No shite, Sherlock, I told myself. "Do you have a name?" I asked the slime creature. It looked suprised. "No, I don't think so. The king pulled me out of nowhere. I probably didn't exist before this whole game thing started." "Then how did you know mine?" "I dunno. Just kinda knew." ~ I walked up to the doorway. I noticed it led to a small room, with only one other creature in it. It looked to be an Anima-Beast. It had the body of a lion, but the head a beautiful young woman. Her eyes sparkled, and she smiled at us from her place sprawled out on the ground. She licked her lips hungrily, and rolled upright, her tail flicking menacingly. "Finally... At least you look smart." She said. She murmered to herself for a few seconds. I stood uneasily, shifting my weight from one foot to the other. What was the task here? I gripped the handle of my sword and motioned for the slime creature to stay back. "Fine..." She whispered to herself. "Here's the deal, lovely. I tell you my riddle. Get it right, you go free. Get it wrong, however, and you're lunch." I didn't like this challenge much. She looked me in the eye, her gaze hungry. I wondered how many people she'd devoured because of ignorance, or stupidity. I thought it over. The challenge was a test of intelligence. "I agree to the terms. What's the riddle?" I asked. I heard the slime monster behind me growl quietly. The creature smiled. "What occurs once in a minute," "Twice in a moment," "But never in a thousand years?" The creature licked her lips, and her tail swirled in the air. She rose to her feet and began pacing around us. I thought for a while. After a few minutes, the slime monster behind me growled loudly. "That makes no sense! Give us one that's not nonsense!" It snarled. The lioness creature leapt at it, growling. I flung my sword in between her and the slime monster. Claws scrapped against steel with a satisfying clash. I struggled to keep the sword level. The lioness pushed down on the blade with seemingly all her might, and she was incredibly strong. "M! It's the letter M!" I said, forcing my arms to keep the sword against her. The lioness frowned. She pushed back off the blade and onto the ground. She paced back to where she previously stood. "Very well. You guessed correctly. I'll let you through." She said begrudgingly. I nodded, walking past her towards the door that had just opened behind her. The slime monster followed me. It glared at the lioness on the way past her, and she growled at him. Before I went through the doorway, I turned back to her. "Thank you for the excellent riddle." I said. She turned her head towards me and smiled. "You're welcome, lovely. If you do win this fickle trial, I'd be quite welcome to the idea of sharing some more with you." I returned her smile, and walked through the doorway. "Though those chubby cheeks of yours would be rather tasty, I suppose." The slime monster and I walked through the doorway laughing, while the deep chuckles of the lioness faded behind us. But the next room quickly silenced our chortles. The room was dimly lit by torches on the walls, the dancing flames illuminating blood spattered on the walls and the tiled ground. Bodies littered the gigantic room, and a great hulking form stood in the centre of it. It slowly turned to face us, it's eyes glowed scarlet and it's hulking body was that of shiny, bloodstained iron. A golem. I supressed a scream as it raised a fist to hurl down at us, and instead threw myself to the side as it came crashing down. I didn't see what the slime creature did, but I hoped it had avoided the blow. I got to my feet, my hip sore from the hard tile where I landed. I hoped it wasn't going to bruise too badly. I looked around as the golem raised it's giant iron fist for another blow. There was another doorway at the other end of the room. It seemed unblocked, why didn't these people just run for the exit? As I was thinking this, something slimey, warm and white hurled into me, knocking me back into the wall as a giant iron fist came slamming to the ground. Oh yeah. Golem. Forgot about that. "What are you thinking, just standing around like that!?" Bellowed the slime creature. He slid off of the wall and we ran around behind the golem. He turned around slowly. I was stunned by the amount of bodies that littered the hall. So many people... Not now, Sakaki. Head in the game. I readied my sword, looking for a possible weakspot in the golem's hulking iron form. It seemed to have no weaknesses, no imperfections, no cracks in it's armour. It was just stupidly powerful. It turned it's face to look at us. That's when I realised. The eyes. "It's eyes! We need to blind it somehow!" "Stab them!?" Bellowed the slime monster. "Poke 'em with your sword!?" I frowned and dodged another blow. We were like ants to it. Helpless and defenseless. But poking it's eyes might not be such a bad idea. "How do we get up there?" I said aloud. "I've got an idea." Said the slime creature. He melted into two small puddles on the ground in front of me. "When I say go, step on me and get onto it!" It yelled. I restrained myself from rolling my eyes. I didn't have a plan. The golem shuffled foward and raised it's fist. I backed up a few steps, bracing myself for a leap of faith. "Go!" I ran. I stepped on the slime creature, disgusted by the squelching noise coming from the soles of my shoes. I then leapt onto the golem's foot, and was about to try and sramble for a foothold when I realised my feet weren't even slipping. The slime creature was sticking me to the golem. "Get a move on! It's cramped down here!" Came it's muffled shout. I scampered up the golem's leg and up it's back towards it's head. I skittered on the top of it's head, struggling for balance. I drew my sword, and prepared to plunge the blade deep into it's eyesocket. Something thwacked me from behind. A loud suckering noise a yell of pain came from my shoes, and a giant iron hand swung me off it's head, it's hand holding me upside down by my chest, my sword flashing in the torchlight. I struggled to get a grip with my feet, my shoes slipping on the smooth iron surface. The slime monster had come clean off. I struggled for a hand hold before the golem let go. I somehow bent in half and grabbed the side of it's palm before it's fingers released it's grip on my lower body. My legs slumped, pins and needles gathering in my feet. I was just barely able to keep a good hold of the sword and the golem. The golem started to wave it's hand, trying to shake me lose and suceeding. It was no use. It was either the sword or my grip. Something had to give. Then an idea struck me. I turned my head to see the slime creature slowly regaining it's form ontop of the golem's head. It looked dazed and disoriented. "Hey! Catch!" I yelled. I raised the sword above my head, latching on to the golem's forefinger so I woudln't fall. The slime creature faced me, and I threw the sword with all my might. The sword flew through the air, and I prayed my aim was true. The metal reflected the torch light as it flew through the air tainted with blood and iron. The slime creature morphed to catch it. Two arms sprang from it's melted white body, and latched onto the sword. I breathed a sigh of relief. It twisted the sword and brough it down again in the golem's right eye. The golem roared. Both hands went to it's head, shaking me loose and sending me falling to the ground. The slime creature leapt from the golem's head, avoiding the giant iron hands. We both fell to the ground. I was certain that was to leave bruises, and when the adrenalin ceased, I would know if any bones were broken. I slowly got to my feet, my left side incredibly sore, and my leg numb. I limped a few steps to the slime creature, who rose from a puddle unfazed, and it quickly slid towards the doorway, me hurridly limping in it's wake. We walked through the doorway. I was relieved to escape that trial. I wondered what that one had tested. I'm not sure I wanted to know. We stopped for a second at the small area before the next room. Then, I had another idea. "Gaskin." I said. "Now what are you babbling on about?" Said the slime creature. "You don't have a name." I said. "So? You think Gaskin is a good one?" "Sort've, yeah. It suits you, in a weird way. It's your choice though. You can claim it, or you can let it slide." I said, rubbing the left side of my hip. It still hurt, and I was only slightly limping. "Well, I won't deny it's a good one." It said, smiling slightly and thinking fir a moment. Though while smiling it's jagged teeth made it slightly terrifying. "Yeah. I like it." It puffed up proudly. "So you're Gaskin now?" I asked, smiling too. "Yeah. I'm Gaskin now!" It said. "Pleased to meet ya, Gaskin. I'm Queen." "Yeah, yeah. I know your name!" Said Gaskin, nudging me gently with his head. "Sorry I didn't grab your sword back though." He said. "It's fine, jt wasn't exactly a good one anyway. I'm sure I can get another when I get back home." I said, looking at the ground. It seemed more like an 'if I get back home' now. We continued into the next room in silence. The , Gaskin stopped abrubtly at what lay before us. I stopped too, looking where he was. Oh boy. Oh howdy. Oh, sweet mama. I counted five foreign faces looking back at us in the next room. Two if them were Citerons, decked out in Sci-Fi like technology, plus ray guns, cool looking gadgets and gizmos adorned belts strapped across their waists and chests. One Adolean was there, dressed in robes, staff in one hand and a magical looking glass orb in another. A short Treajan was there was well. A few daggers were strapped onto her boots, and a pair of pan pipes hung from a string around her neck. Then the last of them appeared to be an Anima-Beast. Cat ears stuck out from benath her hair, a tail poked out from under her skirt and her hands were paws. The five faces stared back at Gaskin and I in dismay, and probably disappointment.  "Aw, it's just a human and her ball of slime... Talk about anti-climatic..." Said the cat-girl. "This human and her so-called ball of slime have been through a lot more today than you could imagine, sweetheart!" Said Gaskin, sounding annoyed. I frowned and nudged him with my elbow. "What!? I'm defending you-!" I glared at him. Gaskin shut his mouth and growled quietly. I turned back to the five and put on a fresh face. "Sorry about him. I'm Queen, and this is Gaskin. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." "Big words for shrimp like you." Said the Adolean. "Quite the condecending manner for an Adolean like you." I said. "Oh, damn!" Said Gaskin,  breaking his short-lived silence. "Thank you, Gaskin." I said. "Charmed. Where ya from? You guys a team or something?" Said one if the Citerons. "I'm Secine." "Pleasure." I said. "I guess you could call us a team. I'm from the Earth district." "I'm from the room with all the doors. I was part of the test." Said Gaskin. "The fear room?" Said the Adolean. I raised an eyebrow. Fear room? "That challange was to test your bravery by facing your worst fear." "Mine was a giant dog!" Said the cat-girl. Of course it was. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Gaskin look at me, puzzled. "You're scared of slime?" He said. I shrugged. "I used to be. Not now, obviously." Gaskin frowned and turned away. "Are we all that's left?" I asked. "I think so. The numbers have been narrowed down quite a bit." Said the other Citeron. The Treajan raised her head. "Look!" She said. We looked. Someone else was coming out of the doorway. It was a Make-Believer by the looks of it. He looked terrified, but unharmed. I recongized him as Invisible, from the Floor Is Lava round. "Invisible?" I said. He nodded, his eyes wide. "A-and you're Queen, right?" I nodded. I heard the Adolean behind me scoff. I turned to him. "That throat of yours sounds like it hurts, would you like a glass of water?" I said sweetly, my glare daggers. The Adolean silenced himself and looked away from me. Then the Citeron, Secine, gasped quietly. We looked where she was, and to my amazment, the king stood before us. How did he get there? The others dropped to their knees, and I hurridly did the same, but Gaskin did not. He merely inclined his head slightly. "It's all right, you can stand." Said King Johnathon. The group stood. Kung Johnathon looked human enough, with dark olive skin and dark brown hair. He wore a dark purple cloak with gold fastenings, and a gold crown was set on his head. But the strange things about him were in-human. He had cream-coloured horns spiralling from his head like rams horns, and big fluffy white feet poked out from under his cloak. "Now, before we get started, I'm sure you all know me, but I don't know most of you. Is it possible for you all to introduce yourselves?" Secine stepped foward, brimming with confidance. "I am known as Secine, your majesty. I am of the Citerons. This is my husband, Archimedes." The Citeron next to Secine, Archimedes, bowed slightly. "I am Excectreka." Said the Adolean, bowing as well. "I'm Charlie, your majesty!" Said the cat-girl, curtseying. "My-my name is Invisible, sire." Said the Make-Believer. "My name is Queen, your highness." I said. "I'm Gaskin." He said. The Treajan stayed silent. "Excellent." Said the king. "We have some good competitors here. But now," He suddenly held his right arm directly parallel to his shoulder. "Down to buisness." Seven different coloured rods appeared in the air, and I fully took in the challange before us. The floor was lava, and objects floated in it, but thin brightly coloured poll formations floated in the air with smaller platforms attached. The doorway was at the other end of the room. The rods floating in the air on the beggining platform looked almost like  batons mixed with cat toys. The rod itself was about an arms length, with dark coloured plastic and a single shiny line spiralling up it. The ends had glittery string that looked like fireworks. There were seven in total, and all of different colours. The one on the end was dark blue with shiny yellow and white glittery string. The second was bright green with acid blue and yellow shiny string. The third was black with white and yellow string. The fourth was dark red, and had purple snaking up it with gold and white shiney string. The fith was yellow with acid green and light blue string. The sixth was dark red with gold shiney string. And the seventh, the one nearest the king, was bright pink with white and yellow shiney string.   "Each one represents a challenge you all have faced. Picking one gives you somewhat the abilites related to the challenge. I'll let you figure it out as you go along. Pick the one that calls out to you." Said the king. I nodded, and the rest of the group made noises of agreement. "Good. I wish you all the best of luck." Said the king. Then he seemingly disappeared. There was instantly a mad rush for the batons. The cat-girl, Charlie, leapt for the pink one. The Adolean called Excentreka grabbed the red and gold one, and the two Citerons grabbed the green and yellow ones. Invisible went for the black and white baton, and the Trojean took the dark blue on the end, leaving me to take the purple and red. I looked to Gaskin. He was looking at the course before us. How was he going to do all the jumping and climbing? "Queen, can I talk to ya for a second?" "Sure." I followed Gaskin to the doorway, out of earshot of the rest of the competitors. "I don't know if I'll be able to do this." He said. "What nonsense. We've come this far, haven't we?" I said in disbelief. He couldn't stop now. Not when we're so close! "Gaskin-" "No, Atana. I can't do this." "Yes, you can." I said, staring him down. "Can't you shape shift into something smaller, so you can just latch onto me?" Gaskin looked at me like I'd gone mad. "You've gone completely of the rails, but that might not be such a bad idea." Having come to a seemingly good conclusion, Gaskin slowly melted into a smaller version of himself, only a few inches high. "You're sure this will work?" Said little Gaskin. "Positive. All you have to do is hold in tight." I put my hand next to him, and Gaskin slithered onto it. I slowly lifted him up and put him on my shoulder. I felt Gaskin latch on, and we were good to go. The others were starting to jump for the thin scafolding in front of the elevated starting platform. I stepped back a bit, glittery baton in hand, and started running up to the edge. I leapt for the scaffolding. I heard Gaskin yell as we flew over the lava. I latched onto the thin rods just in time. Any sooner or later and we would've bounced off into the lava. Certain I had a good grip, I stuck the baton in my mouth to free up my right hand, and continued climbing up. I felt like a pirate on rigging. As I was thinking this, I heard Gaskin yell, "Look out!" I looked up and saw Charlie the cat-girl. She hissed and swiped at me with the baton. I ducked my head and she missed. "There can only be one queen in this kingdom!" She said, swiping again. I lunged for her ankle, both of which were balancing on a single poll. I grabbed it and pulled it loose. Charlie meowed in suprise and tumbled backwards, falling through the web of polls and into the lava. I winced. "Ha! Take that, cheater!" Said Gaskin in triumph. "She's not a cheeta, she's a housecat." I said, and Gaskin cackled. I looked over, and on the next 'cloud' of scafolding, the Adolean was on top of Invisible. He was holding onto the last bar, the Adolean flicking his fingers one by one, so that soon he was only holding on by three fingers. His baton fell into the lava, and the lava sizzled as it burnt. Invisible was whimpering with terror. I climbed to the top of the scaffolding, and braced to leap to their cloud. Just after I leapt and managed to grab ahold, Invisible fell from the cloud into the lava. Gaskin and I fell silent. Invisible screamed as he fell into the lava, and when we could no longer see him, his screams fell silent.

For The Crown - Chapter 1
Chapter 1 - The Contest
My eyes blinked open. Rubbing them with my palms, I sat up in bed, thoughts of dreams the night before swimming in my mind's eye. I could never remember any of them particularly clearly. I took up a small hairbrush from the arm of couch next to my bed, and ran it quickly through my short, wavy, blonde hair. I looked around my room. Nothing in it even romotely suggested that today would be one of the most extrodainary days of my life. I picked up my blue and purple glasses from the bedside table to my left, and slipped them on. It was strange. I felt like getting up today. Usually I'd sleep in for a little bit. Then I remembered my alarm. It hadn't gone off. I grabbed my phone off the bedside table next to me, flipped the cover and pushed the power button. It greeted me with a cartoon picture of a character I admired, and a small clock. It was eight-twenty-two. About time to get up. Under the clock, it said Saturday. That was the reason it hadn't gone off. It was the weekend, finally. I got up, careful not to knock into the small trestle table I kept in my room, and pulled a pair of tights and a singlet out of my pajama drawer. I went down the hallway and into the bathroom, and got changed in there. I had noticed my sister's door at the opposite end of the hallway was closed, a signal that she hadn't gotten up yet. Once I was changed, I went back to my room and put some music on my phone. Duality by Set It Off started playing. I went over to a whiteboard I kept on my desk opposite my bed. It detailed what I was doing that week, and what excercise I was supposed to do each day. I'd do twenty of each thing. 'I can't quite contain, or explain my evil ways.' 'Or explain why I'm not sane.' 'All I can say, is this is your warning,' 'I can't quite contain, or explain my evil ways.' 'Or explain why I'm not sane.' 'All I can say, is this is your warning.' 'Duality.' First thing, sit-ups. I laid down on the ground, and started. I could almost make my forehead touch my knees now. It was a great improvement. When I started doing excercise, I could barely get my upper back off the ground. That was probably already a bad sign. 'I have a confession.' 'That you would not believe, that you could not perceive, this freak, gonna set it off.' 'I have a confession.' 'Of a side that I hide, it's a cloak or disguise, unleashed, gonna get it off.' 'No, I'll never get away,' Five down, fifteen to go. 'Cause if I try to stray,' 'It only holds me closer.' 'No I'll never get away.' 'I'll have it anyway.' 'I'll never stop.' 'I can't quite contain, or explain my evil ways.' 'Or explain why I'm not sane.' 'All I can say, is this is your warning,' 'I can't quite contain, or explain my evil ways.' 'Or explain why I'm not sane.' 'All I can say, is this is your warning.' 'Duality.' 'Du-Duality.' 'Du-Duality.' Ten to go. 'I have an impression, in the back of my mind.' 'For the black in my tie, contains, our dirty thoughts.' 'Make me an obsession, when you lock me inside,' 'For the ride of your life, unleashed, gonna set it off.' Five to go. 'No, can't count the list of things,' 'I know are wrong with me.' 'No need to justify them.' 'No, I'll never take the blame.' 'So I'll just stay the same.' 'I'll never stop.' Done. I checked the next thing on the list. Crunches. Right. I laid flat on my back again, and started repeatedly curling into a ball. 'I can't quite contain, or explain my evil ways.' 'Or explain why I'm not sane.' 'All I can say, is this is your warning,' 'I can't quite contain, or explain my evil ways.' 'Or explain why I'm not sane.' 'All I can say, is this is your warning.' 'Duality.' 'Du-Duality.' 'Du-Duality.' 'I'm blind.' 'I am evil.' 'I am souless.' 'I am chaos.' 'I am human.' 'And that's all,' 'I've ever,' 'Wanted,' 'To be.' Fifteen to go. 'No, can't count the list of things,' 'I know are wrong with me.' 'No need to justify them.' 'No, I'll never get away.' 'So I'll have it anyway.' 'I'll never stop.' Ten to go. 'I can't quite contain, or explain my evil ways.' 'Or explain why I'm not sane.' 'All I can say, is this is your warning,' 'I can't quite contain, or explain my evil ways.' 'Or explain why I'm not sane.' 'All I can say, is this is your warning.' 'Duality.' 'Du-Duality.' 'Du-Duality.' Five to go. The song ended, and I paused it before finishing the last five. I didn't need to wake people up. When I did finish, I got up, grabbed some clothes out of the chest of drawers, and went into the bathroom to shower. When I done, I came back to my room to dump my pajamas back on my bed and pick up my phone. I then grabbed a black hoodie off my couch and slipped it on, putting my phone in the hoodie pocket. I looked in the mirror for a second. I was wearing black denim shorts, purple, blue, pink, and cyan coloured galaxy tights, and a purple t-shirt with the words, 'It's Me,' on it in black. My short wavy blonde hair was tucked behind my ear, and a small strand too short to tuck away hung over my glasses. I puffed out a bit of air, blowing it up and into the wavy bundle. My eyes were a light blue. Blonde hair and blue eyes were often a symbol of cletic heritage. I was proud of that. I then walked down the hallway and turned left into the kitchen. I went into the butler's pantry and grabbed some lying instant noodles. I put them in a small black bowl with words written in white on the side. 'Can't talk. Eating.' I put the noodle brick in the bowl, and filed it up with warm water. I then put the noodles in the microwave, and set the timer for five minutes, thirty seconds. I pushed go, and walked over to the widescreen computer by a bookshelve and turned it on. I logged into my user and opened a webpage. I instictively tapped N into the search bar, Netflix showing up as an instant search, but I didn't click enter. When I opened a webpage, it showed me a news spread as my homepage, and one in particular caught my eye. 'King gives up crown to contest winner!' I clicked immediately. The news article read as such. 'King Johnathon intends to step down and relinquish his crown and title to the winner of a compettition designed by the king himself.' 'Whoever wins said contest will be crowned and be the new ruler of the kingdom. Anyone is allowed to enter, as long as they can move and think.' 'If you are willing to compete, please be at the castle gates by one o'clock this coming Monday.' 'I wish good luck to all. It's going to be a lot harder than you think. -King Johnathon.' I lent back in my chair, thinking. It'd be something, that was for sure. I pressed enter and was taken to Netflix, where I clicked a show called Forensic Files. I put the contest out of my mind and wondered what horrific murder I'd learn about today. ~ The place I lived in was called, 'The Land Of Many Worlds.' Straight up Valerian stuff really. Many different types of creatures, people, and monsters alike lived here, all goverened by one king and his court. I lived in the Earth district, with my family. My mum, my dad, my little sister and my little brother. I didn't get on well with my sister Aurora most of the time, and I was almost always breaking up fights between her and my brother Owen. My dad did IT, computers and such. He was away half the time, doing work for the schools in the area. My mum stays at home with us. There are many other worlds, I couldn't even begin to count how many have joined the kingdom over the years. Creatures and aliens of all types stated to live amongst us, even in the earth district. The top of the chain, right below the king, where the Adoleans. They were magic wielders that looked human, but you soon realiesed that they were not. Then the Citetrons. They were sour and science obsessed. Their IQ was above the greatest Earth scientists, and their tchnology vouched for that. Then came the Humans, us, then there was the Anima-Beasts. Half-human, half-animal creatures. They were actually smarter than you'd give then credit for. Then the Treajans. They adored art in all it's forms. From painting to combat, nobody could best them. Then, at almost poverty status, the Make-Believers. These were creations people had created, and then left to rot. Robots, deformed animals, magical beings with no form to call it's own, test tube children who failed their creators, ect. Many, many more species existed between the levels, but many of each stayed with the Make-Believers. The contest the king had set was causing uproar. The fact that anybody could join and/or win the crown, was a fact nobody among the upperclasses appreciated. But it made the lower ones happy. It was a chance for maybe a Make-Believer to win, and give them all a better life. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't want any part of it. I wanted the shot too. It was human nature, but I hoped that if I did win I wouldn't turn into some Napoleon/Hitler character. I'd rather kill myself than joing the top ten world's worst leaders. Oh wait. Hitler did kill himself. Whelp. Moving on. ~ It was Sunday, the day before the big contest was due to start. I'd asked my parents the night before if I could compete, but they didn't appear to be listening, and their default response was, 'Yeah,' or, 'Mhmm.' So I took my answer. It never said anything about dying, so I assumed it was safe. The Monday rolled around. At twelve-forty-eight I stood at the castle gates in the big city area. The castle was huge, and made of light dusty blue brick. The gates were wrought iron, and thousands of people swarmed at the gates. I saw Adoleans, Citetrons, Anima-Beasts and Make-Believers alike. I wondered if somebody was filming this. I pulled my hood up to cover my face, just in case. I had a steel sword in my belt, just in case someone decided to use violence and they didn't provide weapons. It was blunted, of course. But it could still give you a concussion and one hell of a bruise, if not break a bone or two. Whispered conversations were coming from the crowd. Ah, now I heard them. News reporters from all over the kingdom talked in every language possible. I heard a few talking in English, and I heard that it was being broadcasted live. Probably to every TV in the kingdom. I wondered if my family was watching. Probably not. At precisely one o'clock, the wrought iron gates swung open. The entire crowd rushed foward, almost pushing me to the ground. I regained my balance and started pushing back. Then the crowd stopped and a defeaning roar was heard. I saw a huge three headed lion tower over the crowd. The news article said nothing about this being deadly! I unsheathed my sword, uncertain if it was going to do much damage. Then, all at once, guns, magic spells, energy blasts, everything was thrown at the lion by those at the front. The monster came down easy, and I sheathed my sword before running on with the crowd. I passed a large lion paw on the way past, and I stopped and petted it gently. "Sorry about that." I ran through a large doorway towering above us, and stopped before I fell off a platform and lava. I realised I was actually near the front. "The floor is lava!" I yelled back. People started running ahead of me, slowly slifting through onto numerous floating objects. I jumped onto a nearby table. Two other people did the same thing simultaneously. One almost fell off and into the lava, but I grabbed their wrist and held them steady. The two were Make-Believers. The one I grabbed was monotone and translucent, while the other was small and dark, with six pairs of arms and wore black. "Thanks." Said the monotone one. "No problem." I said. "Spider." Said the dark one, her right middle arm held out. I shook it. "Queen." I said. I almost slapped myself. Bit of a silly name for this type of thing. "I'm Invisible." Said the monotone one. "Nice meeting you both." I said. I jumped from the table onto a small coffee table, then onto a large brown leather sofa. It was loud from all the yelling of the mob, and it was hot from the lava. I wondered for a minute if it was real. Then, as if to prove my suspicions, someone tried to jump onto the couch I was on from too far away, and slipped of it and into the lava. They screamed and dissapeared beneath the surface. Blood thundered through my ears. This was very real. Suddenly the yells of the crowd suddenly sounded like the screams of the dead. My sword burnt my skin when I brushed against it as I jumped from object to object. What was I even doing here? This wasn't my place, I should be watching all this in my house with my family, not actually competing. I stood still on a dining table. I was never going to win. I was going to die. I looked around. So many people had disapeared into the lava, but many still remained, and some had even gotten to the end of the large hall, and had made their way to the next room. I wasn't going to let myself be outdone by people like them. I jumped from the dining table onto a chair, then a microwave, then a fridge, then a chair, then a couch, then a bedframe, then a table again. I was thankful for my gripy shoes. I wore black and white sneaker-boots, which went up to my knees. They were my favourite, and I'm glad they were helping out. Soon enough, I made it to the next doorway with hundreds behind me, but hundreds ahead. The next obstacle was scafolding. Lots, and lots, of scafolding. I grabbed a bar and started climbing up to the top. It was very high. The floor beneath me was water. It was so deep, I couldn't see the bottom. Then, a person ahead of me, a Citeron, fell from the bars and into the water. He tried to swim to the lowest bar, but a huge shark swam out from under him and swallowed him whole. I realized more people were following behind me, and decided to get a wriggle on. I climbed throughout the bars like a monkey, going upside down, spinning, balancing, and twisting my limbs in ways that really shouldn't be possible. I reched the end, and realised that there was a large gap between the scafolding and the small chunk of concrete tile that you could land on to pass to the next room. I saw people on the other side, and I knew my time was limited. I unhooked my legs off of the bar I was currently slothing on, and started swinging. Once I'd gained enough momentum, I let go. I landed on the other side and somersault to my feet. I made it. I sped into the next room, where it was absolute chaos. There was a sign hanging from the roof that said, 'Pick A Door, Any Door!' I looked at the many doors infront of me. There were just doors without walls for ages. As far as I could see, there was no gigantic doorway at the end. I assumed you had to go through the small doors to get to the big one. I picked the first clear door I saw. I walked up to it and opened it. I didn't have a chance to see what was inside before it shut behind me. But once I saw what was in the room, I immediately shoved on the door, rattling the door knob furiously. It was black nothingness, and something white, gooey looking and melting was oozing out from the floor. It slowly grew taller, and the gooey stuff crew cavities in what i assumed was it's face, a great, wide, disgusting, smiling mouth, and gaping wide eyes. My heart raced faster, my movements frantic. I turned to face it. It was huge, and it was getting closer, it's disgusting, melted and eerie face leering at me. I unsheathed my sword, the blade twitching, my movements uncertain. It's smile looked fake now, it's empty eyes containing a small prick of white light against the dark holes. I slipped around the door to the oppisite side, and tried the handle again. Nothing. I took a deep breath and steadied myself, leaning against the door for support. I must've picked the wrong door, that's why it had locked me away with this, this, this thing! I looked at my feet, and I noticed white ooze leaking around the side of the door. I looked to both my left and right. The ooze was slowly curling around the sides, as though to incase me if I froze longer. I slowly looked up. I don't know what sound came out of my mouth. A gasp. A scream. A yelp. I didn't know. All I knew was that the leering, melted face was grinning at me from above the doorframe. I lept foward, away from it. I then turned back to it, I was not letting it out of my sight. The melted, slimey creature engulfed the door and crawled towards me, getting bigger every second. "This isn't a game, Atana." It said. "Nobody can save you." "You're spent. Your turn is over." A game? Spent? Over? No, I didn't think so. "So? I'm not scared of you! We made you, I can take you apart!" I said. I didn't know where those words came from, but I think I said them. "I'll knock you right out of the frame!" I held the sword infront of me, bracing for a sudden attack. I was correct to brace myself. The slimey being leapt at me, head first. I dodged to the side, upset I was caught off guard. "I won't stop until you're gone!" Said the slime. I chuckled, and looked it in the eye. "Game on." It was my turn to attack. I swung my sword at the slime monster, it morphed backwards and I missed, but I turned the blade upwards and came down again with a diagonal strike. It somehow dodged again. I was loosing patience. I drew my sword back to my side, and aimed a stab at it's 'body.' I lunged, but it stretched, making a hole in it's middle. My sword flew through it, but I pulled back before the creature could clamp down on the blade. "What do you hope to gain from all this?" It said, lunging for me, but missing. "What do you mean?" I said shortly. I didn't intend on wasting my breath on small-talk, except when it was a particularly witty one-liner. Then I made allowances. "What do you hope to gain from this, this contest? Material gain? A throne? People to lord over?" I scoffed. "Only fools risk their lifes for those things." I said, holding my sword close. The creature was a few feet away. I pondered how to attack. "I play for naught." The creature threw it's head back and cackled. It's laugh was sharp and hideous. "No one in this world plays for naught!" "Very well," I said, putting my right leg behind me. "I do play for gain." I stepped foward and lunged with my arms outstretched. The blade came a milimetre to the creature's neck. It looked suprised I'd caught it off guard. It just stared me in the eye, it's white eyelights flickering, sharp slimey teeth bared. "I play for pride, and knowledge. That's my gain." The creature cackled again. My patience had run out. I brought up my left elbow and slammed it into the creature's left side, bringing it to the ground. I held the tip of the blade above it's head. It cackled no longer. "Don't you dare laugh at me. Fools laugh at others. Wisdom laughs at itself. Remember that." I said. I drew my blade away from the stunned and melted being, and started walking towards the door. After a few steps, I turned back to the creature. "My name is Queen. Never forget it." Instilled with a new passion to persever, I stalked towards the door, sheathing my sword. My hand was on the handle, and I found it turned easily. I opened it, and was about to step out of the room. "W-Wait! Could you take me with you?" Said the melted slime creature. I looked back at it. It still lay on the floor, but as it noticed me turn my head it stood up straight. I looked at the door, then at the slime creature. I thought it over in my head. "Fine." The slime monster cackled again, quietly this time. It quickly slid over to me, and I walked out the door, the creature following me. I looked at the end of the room of many doors, and now saw a tall doorway. Many of the doors were still barricaded with steel. I walked towards the door, my head held high and a hand on the hilt of my sword. Just kinda knew."

I wanted the shot too. It was human nature, but I hoped that if I did win I wouldn't turn into some Napoleon/Hitler character. I'd rather kill myself than joing the top ten world's worst leaders. Oh wait. Hitler did kill himself. Whelp. Moving on.

The Royal Court - Beta Discriptions
We’ll start from the top of the chain, shall we?
Queen:
As her name suggests, she is the queen.  After winning the crown from the previous king at only fourteen, she quickly became one of the best crown holders in the kingdom’s history, despite what other people did to stop her. Her favourite colours are purple and red, her favourite number is seven, and she’s working to help make the Make-Believers a little better off.
Gaskin:
Queen’s best friend and only companion through the trials and hell fire that is royalty, Gaskin actually first met her in the third trial in the competition that would win the victor the crown. Made of a white slimy substance, Gaskin can morph into any shape, but as he gets smaller he becomes more dense, more strong. The bigger he gets he spreads himself thinner and thinner, getting weaker. His favourite colour is purple and his favourite number is fourteen. He is very fond of Queen, though she continues not to notice his affection.
Atana Sakaki:
Queen’s first living sentient creation, Atana is a notorious flirt, yet she’s been tasked by the queen to travel to other dimensions and other universes to close holes in space and time known as Rifts. Atana has a bad habit of gaining crushes on people she finds in those universes. Her favourite colours are pink, purple and gold, while her favourite number is seventeen.
Bella F. Hafrd:
Queen’s fifth sentient creation, Bella F. Hafrd, is a bard that plays music in the centre of town for the enjoyment of the citizens. She gains a little money from it, and prefers to live in the town rather than in the castle. Bella adores children, and wishes to have her own some day, but wants to live life alone while she can. Her favourite colours are red and green, and her favourite number is six.
Fusion:
During Queen’s training to use the ability passed from ruler to ruler, (Creation) she accidentally opened a rift into the void, where they found Fusion. She appears to be a stable amalgamation of people too determined to pass on, thus finding themselves in the void. Fusion finds herself terrifying, thus hates looking into reflective surfaces and mirrors, and dislikes being around new people, for fear of scaring them. Her favourite colours are orange, red, purple and black, and her favourite number is three.
Arthena Pendragon:
Head of the royal armies and princess of her own kingdom in an alternate dimension, Arthena is a distant relative to the fabled Arthur Pendragon, The Once And Future King. She is a skilled fighter, and was brought through the rift by Atana, for want of a place where she would be treated as an equal, and not as a dainty princess. She commands all the queen’s armies, and keeps them in tip top shape, should they be needed one day. Her favourite colours are red and gold, and her favourite number is one.
The Narrator:
Hello, that’s me.
*cough*
The Narrator is a being given to the queen as a coronation gift by a rival king in a green glass bottle, intended as a spy. But they grew their own brain and allies themselves with the queen. They can shape shift, but prefer to keep their original form. They appear as a black being made of darkness and smoke, with white eyes and a green rain jacket with no sleeves, just a fur lined hood. Their favourite colour is green, and their favourite number is 10.
