hey gene, it’s been a while! how are you and ana doing?

Hi there! We've missed you!

Just decided to check in on this after a while and found an old message, hello! We're doing great-- alive, luckily. It's been almost 3 years since that whole Juggernaut deal, hasn't it?

We've been doing much better since then, and the town's all back to normal...well, not normal, since "normal" would be "people dying left and right while the town shoves people into the town square to be tried," but normal in the "normal town that doesn't do that" sense! Of course there's...the occasional non-accidental death that goes into investigation...and there's still town meetings on the daily, or mostly daily...but hey! It isn't the usual chaos. It's more habitable!

Oh, Ana's great, by the way. She's a happy little bird, and quite spoiled at that. We've been trying to train her to do little tricks. It's...a process, but it's something! She can pick up a plastic ring.

Gene? Why are you trusting that man?

I’m not sure. He’s the main source of information I have and he’s been my friend for a little while.

He seems to be nice. He invited me to hide down in the basement, it looks like a library of sorts. It’s dim in here and he is telling me whatever he can about the thing.

You’re right, though. I don’t have much as weapons right now but I have a clear exit in mind in case things go wrong. 

Don’t worry about me, we’re safe down here. If he trusts me with telling me probably the worst secret he’s been keeping to himself so far, I feel as if I can trust him.

Oh, dear. I was hoping that wasn’t it. 

The power’s out in most of the town so we’re mainly going off of cellular data. I’m going to try to reach out to him. My friend’s focused on thinking a way to stop this thing. He’s strictly against killing it. I’ll update the notes as needed- oh my god I forgot to give him the notes. The blog for them is here and if you need a password the hints should be on my blog at the /password link if that makes sense. It should be easy to access them, you know me well, and the password is simple, something to keep out eyes I don’t trust.

Is he in danger? Is he hurt? I can’t move from here or I’ll endanger us all.

I can’t talk much right now, I’m with a friend trying to figure something out and gather any notes, if possible. I’m aware some have been trying to message me, but I can’t get to it right now.

I was at a greenhouse yesterday and this reminded me so much of Gene and his plant loving self! I asked my mom if I could get a succulent. She said yes and I was so excited!!! So now I have my own succulent to admire and adore. @askthedoc
