I Figured It Out!

While listening to ol' grandpa green for the hundredth time today, I came to a conclusion! 

He sounds just like Yoda and Kermit the Frog had an accidental love child which they had to give to some grumpy-ass hippie vegan couple that have NO sense of humor whatsoever!

So, what was it like meeting Jak the first came to the your village?

Well, I’ll admit, he was a scruffy kid. And since he came in with old green and stumpy, I wasn’t really too keen on making friends with him right away. But it all worked out in the end, right, Jak?

Jak IV (My Vision)

Intro Sequence

The scene opens with Jak and Daxter slowly moving through the wasteland (One of the much darker parts not revealed yet) with creepy dark suspenseful music playing. The communicator device pops out of Jak’s pocket and begins talking…

Ashelin: Jak, you’re coming up on the site now. Metal Heads have completely infested the place so don’t expect an easy ride…

Jak: Don’t worry Ash, I haven’t let you down before have I?

Ashelin: (Laughs) Just be careful dark boy. We won’t be able to communicate again until you’re back on the surface… (Jak nods and the Communicator goes into his Pocket)

Daxter: JAAaaak, why do WE gotta do all the crappy work around here? Aren’t WE the one’s who saved the world already!? THRICE! When do WE get a chance to stuff our faces while THEY go hunting Metal Head nasties?

Jak: Relax Dax. I’m sure we’ll be in and out. Besides, Haven needs them now more than we do. (The camera rises over Jak and Daxter walking up to and staring at a colossal Precursor Tower sunken into the ground)

Daxter: WOAH! Get a load of that Jak! What you think’s inside?

Jak: Whatever it is, the Metal Heads found it first. (Jak cocks gun) Let’s move. (Jak and Daxter are shown climbing inside and walking through precursor corridors eventually arriving in a large open room underground)

Jak: (Looking around inquisitively) This place is…

Daxter: Place is what, buddy?

Jak: …Let’s just keep moving, it isn’t safe here.

Daxter: Ehhh… whatever you say, Jak. I thought this place was supposed to be swarming with Metal Heads? Doesn’t look like it to me… (Jak and Daxter eventually find a sealed precursor structure deep underground)

Jak: Look Dax, this must be the eco silo Samos was talking about! (Samos yells from inside the eco silo: Jak! Daxter! Get me out of here right this instant!)

Daxter: (Scared) JAAaak?

Jak: Samos! Hold on!

Daxter: JAAaak hold on, I don’t think you should- (Jak quickly uses the seal of Mar to open to silo revealing a blinding light. Moments later the light begins to fade and Gol and Maia (Now dark and twisted together into a single being) float forward laughing hysterically. (For their dialogue, imagine both of their voices saying the same exact thing over one another. Creepy ;)

Gol & Maia: (Sigh of relief) It’s good to see you again Jak. Did you miss us? (Daxter screams and hides behind Jak)

Jak: Youuu… How did-

Gol & Maia: We survive? (Laughs) We didn’t… we’re simply, inseparable. (Grins at Jak) And now that you’ve free’d us from this wretched hole, we’re going to show you just how much we’ve missed having you around Jak.

Jak: (Frustrated and partially turning Dark Jak) Daaax?

Daxter: Y-Yeah Jak?

Jak: Get back to the city, tell Samos and the others-

Daxter: Nooooo way, Jak! I’m not leaving you alone to fight this eco-oozing jerk without me! Definitely not happening, partner…

Gol & Main: You should listen to Jak, Daxter. Tell your friends that we’re coming for them too, after we kill you first that is… (Gives Daxter evil look)

Jak: I’d like to see you try and lay a finger on any of my friends. You’ll regret it.

Gol & Maia: (Laughs) Unlikely boy. Though I DO regret underestimating you once before. It appears you now have your own lust for Dark Eco. Hmmm, That could be quite useful. (Laughs)

Jak: I don’t see what’s so funny… (Slowly hundreds of Gems begin gleaming behind Gol & Maia reveling the Citadel to be a giant Metal Head nest)

Gol & Maia: You see Jak, losing one friend will sometimes gain you thousands instead… (Slowly growling becomes louder and more vicious)

Daxter: JAAaaK!?

Jak: No time, Dax! Let’s go! (Jak grabs Daxter and hops on the Jet Board racing towards the surface. Just barely escaping a flood of Dark Eco coming from the underground Silo, Jak and Daxter make it back to the Hellcat and begin flying towards Haven City)

Ashelin: Jak!? What’s going on? Multiple tremors are originating from the precursor structure! What happened down there!?

Jak: There’s no time to explain! Tell Samos and the others the Metal Heads have a new leader, someone we sealed away a very long time ago… (The camera drifts away from the Hellcat revealing the Jak IV logo and showing the Precursor Citadel rising from the ground in the distance)

Daxter acted like a real best friend should while Kiera acted more like a very unfortunate female trope: acting like the strong female lead, though she responded and was written more like the girl who went to the proverbial winner's circle and picked up the bad boy she wanted from there. While Daxter most likely saw for himself and pieced together what had happened to Jak on his own, Kiera didn't have any way of knowing what was happening to Jak and how much pain and suffering he had to go through. She doesn't even bother to ask what's up when she see him.

Honestly, I could keep going about how strong she can be, but because of bad writing choices she's left as another female character whose potential has gone down the shitter faster than Daxter went down after a few bottles of alcohol. Yet, people with far better writing skills have said it before me, so I see no reason typing it up here.
