Lyra overheats really quickly so Nadia always makes sure she has water and is okay.

Cali also overheats but is too stubborn to admit it, so Muriel has to drag her inside a lot.

I'd imagine Vesuvia gets pretty warm because it's kinda Mediterranean-ish, so what about the main 6 with a MC who overheats/gets heat exhaustion too easily and prefers being in cooler areas?

Mood. I die in the heat

Asra:

Personally he doesn’t mind the heat but he’ll always keep a close eye on you while out and about in the sweltering weather

He’s a fan of using magic to send a cooling breeze to you or running chilled fingers down your arm to raise goosebumps

Cuddling him (without cooling magic or something to help keep you cool during the night) is usually a no go because he throws off so much heat he’s great to cuddle with during cooler temps tho

Nadia:

She does well in hot places, but only for limited amounts of times

For you, she makes sure to keep the amount of time you’re under the beating sun and blistering heat brief. She’ll notice right away when it’s been too much for you and calls for a carriage back to the palace

Has a cold drink or ice cream delivered to her chambers as she cuddles with you, she mostly runs pleasantly warm but keeps the room cool enough so cuddling is bearable

Julian:

He doesn’t handle the heat well either he’s just better at hiding it, knows all the best shaded areas so you can at least stay out of the sun

As a doctor, it’s easy for him to take care of you when you get heat exhaustion and overheated. Will definitely fan you, fret over you constantly, and make sure you stay properly hydrated

He usually runs on the cool side, so he’ll cuddle up to you in bed, it’s a win win because you’re his heater and he cools you off generally

Muriel:

He’s always been indifferent about the heat, he only starts caring when he notices you can’t stand it

His hut is actually pretty cool since it’s made of brick and mud, he’ll bring you back into the hut or take you down to the river to cool down after being in the sun and heat for too long

He runs rather warm and sleeps with warm furs so cuddling can get a bit hot, he’ll leave put out the fireplace and limit the number of furs if it helps

Portia:

She doesn’t mind the heat but she prefers mild springtime type weather

When she notices the sun and heat is starting to tire you out, she’ll pull into the shade to get some ice cream before heading back home

She makes the best iced sweet tea and keeps the window open so the cool night breeze can come in while you two cuddle, she runs pleasantly warm too so it’s never too hot

Lucio:

Oh he can’t stand the heat either, you’re not alone and he fully understands

He’s got personal servants that will follow you around the city to shade and fan you whenever you may need it, he’s quick to pull you into the shade when you start to feel faint

Cuddling with him is doable as he varies day to day between cool and warm, plus he keeps his chamber and wing comfortably cool

He can’t resist teasing you, and he always does so without that small, mischievous smirk playing on his lips that makes you blush like crazy

It doesn’t help that he always adds a kiss and a quiet “you’re adorable” to the end of any of his teases, its physically impossible to be mad at him

Quietly amused whenever you’re trying to reach something high

He’ll always help you of course, pressing a kiss to your forehead as he hands it down to you

Or sometimes when Asra is busy with a customer or something he’ll just flick his wrist and carefully float it into your hands

He does this a lot because he doesn’t want you to try doing it yourself and possibly hurt yourself. There’s been more than one occasion where Asra has had to catch you with either his arms or magic when a chair was more wobbly than you thought

That said, he can’t resist toying with you occasionally and he’ll dangle what you need just out of your reach until you do something like give him a kiss 

Will hug you from behind and rest his head on yours, carefully rocking the two of you side to side

Lots of gently tucking back your hair and kissing your forehead

Especially likes holding your hand in crowds to keep you close

He doesn’t freak out too much when he does lose you in crowds though, and will just find you by sensing your aura (because there’s no way he’s going to spot your tiny self in a crowd)

Asra is naturally cuddly, but will be 10x more cuddly because how is he supposed to resist getting to curl around you and cover your face in kisses while you’re trapped in his arms???

Also really likes holding you on his lap and resting his head over yours as his hands rubs gentle patterns into your skin

You’re so small and all his instincts are screaming at him to love and protect you at all costs

If anyone tries to make a snide comment about your height Asra will give them an icy glare, a witty and somewhat passive aggressive reply and might “accidentally” place a small hex on them for a day

She looks perfectly calm but internally she’s hitting her head against a wall because she’s supposed to be a dignified countess, not a lady who turns into a blushing mess just by seeing you trying to reach for things on high shelves

She’s pretty tall though, so she can get stuff for you just fine once she’s got her composure 

She always finds you beautiful outfits that still perfectly compliment your short stature

Because as long as she’s courting you, there’s no way she’s going to let you deal with pesky problems like tripping over your bottoms or constantly having to readjust things

She isn’t one to tease but she may drop a few sly comments in when you’re in private and she’s feeling playful (she means well, of course)

But if anyone else made a comment on your height, even if it was playful, they should be grateful looks can’t kill because Nadia will be quietly glaring daggers into their skull from across the table

And even if you are absolutely adorable 24/7, Nadia’s still not big on pda. The most you’ll really get out of her is her linking arms with you as you stroll through the gardens

In private, she likes to play with your hair occasionally and it’s always easy since your head is at just the right level

Even after long days where she feels that she doesn’t have the time to sleep, the sight of your small form tucked into your large bed always lures her into getting a good night’s rest

Always instructs servants to keep everything you need on shelves you can actually reach

And don’t even bother trying to insist that you can just pull up a stool to reach what you need. You are the Countess’s lover, so you aren’t going to be lifting a finger more than needed

Whenever you go to fancy concerts or shows, Nadia will always make sure you have the best view in the house (but no matter how grand the performance is, she always ends up paying more attention to you than anything else)

Knows a plethora of short jokes since Portia isn’t exactly tall either, but he only teases you occasionally because he would never actually want to upset you if he ever did, he would be a mess of apologizes instantly

If you ever ask for him to reach something for you he’ll do so with a grand and dramatic sweep of his cape and flick of his wrist

Might also say that you have to give him a kiss first, and always blushes when you do so without hesitation

And please, ask him if you need help because he gets anxious just watching you standing on a wobbly chair as you try to lean up towards the high cabinet you want to reach

Feel free to tug on his sleeve or cape when you want a kiss from him

Also feel free to just straight up grab him by his shirt’s collar and drag him down into a kiss, he won’t complain at all

His heart nearly leaps out of his chest whenever you rise on your tiptoes when you want a kiss

He kisses your forehead a lot and tends to keep an arm looped around your shoulders when you’re out and about, mainly so that he doesn’t lose you in the thick crowds

Maybe lowkey Definitely overprotective because he’s worried thieves or such will target you because you seem more helpless than others

He also likes hugging you from behind and engulfing you in his cloak as he peppers your head in a frenzy of kisses

He’s definitely scooped you up into his arms, twirled you around, and peppered kisses over your face at least a few times

When you dance, he can’t resist literally whisking you off your feet into a low dip

If you ever wear his clothes he finds it absolutely precious but his mind starts to go places quickly

He loves cuddling with you because you’re so snuggly! Whether you’re lying on top of him or he’s wrapped around you, he just adores being able to hold your small form against his and feel like he’s protecting you from the rest of the world

JUST MY SILLY THOUGHTS:

I’m so tired of seeing Arcana discourse...and trust me, I get the frustration. Maybe it’s my hatred of confrontation, my empath nature, and just flat out annoyance with any negative energy atm 🤷🏻‍♀️

While I don’t like Lucio because he reminds me of my manipulative and abusive mother, his fans do deserve his route and it sucks they’re taking so long to do it.

That being said, I don’t understand why we can’t focus on the good shit we’ve gotten so far? Like we’ve gotten some amazing characters, decent-ish writing, and cool things to have our apprentices interact with.

Granted, Nix Hydra has fucked over fans a lot, so I also understand that as well. So don’t get me wrong, they need to pay attention to what their customers want for sure.

I’m just tired of the constant negativity and it’s something we all can fix together!

Layla finds it funny when Asra does it, she’ll do it occasionally

I’ve developed an unfortunate habit of reacting to suprising/loud noises automatically by saying “Hewwo?!” So pls if you don’t mind headcanons of the main six reacting to hearing MC doing that

Hi yas this was supposed to be sweet but it got kinda...spicy 😂

Lyra slowly crept out of bed, the first rays of the sun breaking illuminating the morphing twilight sky. She pressed a soft kiss to Nadia’s forehead as she passed, padding out of the room to and to the bath. Servants bustled around her, the latter offering a small smile as one of them passed her a mug of still steaming coffee on her way in.

Lyra waited until they all filled out, a sigh of content escaping her lips as she sank down into the water, the sun starting to peek up above the horizon. She sipped her coffee, watching the star rise before washing and wrapping up in a robe, deciding that she wanted to finish a map before she and Nadia’s day officially started. After hastily getting dressed and snagging another cup of coffee, she settled into what Nadia dubbed as their office.

Lyra leaned over the desk, starting to work on the last part she needed to finish. She wanted it done before her memory decided to let her down, the pen between her fingers flying to sketch out what her eyes saw.

A loud yip of excitement caught her attention, a ball of excited white fur scampering into the room and straight to her.

“Bella Bianca, yah little trouble maker!” She chuckled, setting down the pen before any damage was done and kneeling to scratch behind the white fox’s ears.

“She pounced on the bed and was looking for you.”

Lyra pursed her lips, swallowing a snicker as a hand stretched out towards her, rings glinting in the sunlight.

“Oh, I’m so sorry darlin. I was hopin’ tah have this done before yah got up.” She apologized, letting Nadia help her back to her feet.

Nadia smirked, giving her hand a squeeze as she turned to examine the map that Lyra was drawing out.

“I didn’t realize there was a such a wide space at the end of this canal.” She observed, fingers tracing over the ink lines.

Lyra tilted her head, clasping her hands behind her back.

“Yes well, ah, I ah..yeah.” She shrugged, forcing herself to not share exactly how she knew the width of the canal.

“Do you miss it?” Nadia asked, dark eyes locking onto hers.

“Miss what cheri?”

Nadia gently took both of her hands, tugging Lyra forward.

“Miss being a pirate. A navigator. Part of a crew?” She continued, bring Lyra’s hands up to rest on her shoulders.

“I do ah bit, I have tah admit.” Lyra sighed, shuffling closer to rest her chin against Nadia’s chest.

“I’ve noticed. You seem...restless. Like you can’t rest.” Nadia pressed, earning a slight grimace from the silver haired woman in her arms.

“Not that I mind, I constantly work myself. But I want you...I want you to be happy. You left practically everything to be here with me.”

Lyra softened as Nadia tucked damp strands of hair behind her ear, leaning into her touch and letting her eyes flutter closed.

“I am happy, I’m sorry if I make yah feel like I’m not. You’re home, I wouldn’t wanna be anywhere else.” She admitted, ignoring the hot flush that spread across her face.

Nadia studied her face for a moment, running a thumb over the freckles dotted across Lyra’s nose, deep in thought as she racked her brain for a solution.

“I have an idea. If you truly want to stay here, that is. I won’t keep you if you wish to return.” Nadia began again, Lyra pouting in response.

“Of course I wanna stay here with yah. Surely the ring on this finger would let yah know that.” Lyra deadpanned, holding up her left hand.

She couldn’t help but smile, Lyra returning the sentiment as Nadia pressed a kiss to her forehead.

“We still need to remedy your restlessness, my wilely fox.” Nadia teased, wrappinng her arms against Lyra’s waist.

“What do yah suggest, mon amour?”

“I have given it some thought. My navy is without a competent navigator...and captain. Surely my fiance knows of someone who could possibly assist in helping me fill those positions.” She explained thoughtfully, Lyra’s eyes widening in shock.

“Surely yah don’t mean me? Sure I can draw ah map or somthin like that but…”

“I do mean you, Lyra. You’re the only one I’d trust to handle this.”

Lyra stammered, rambling under her breath in French as Nadia snickered at her surprise.

“English, my love, English.” She poked, lifting Lyra’s chin with her pointer finger.

“...mah apologies.”

“So what do you say, do you accept your Countess and fiance’s offer….Captain Ravenna?”

Lyra ignored the shudder that coursed through her, chosing to raise an eyebrow and smirk, hoping that she didn’t look as flustered and somewhat aroused as she felt.

“I’d have tah say it’d be rude ah me tah refuse such a beautiful woman’s request.” She whispered, left hand sliding up Nadia’s arm to entertwine their fingers.

“Oh? So the captain accepts?” Nadia prodded, Lyra jumping to her toes to catch her lips in fierce kiss.

“...call me captain again.”

Nadia swallowed a laugh, backing Lyra into the table.

“Are you barking orders at your Countess, Captain Ravenna?”

Lyra produced the most innocent expression she could muster, hoisting herself onto the table and catching Nadia between crossed ankles.

“Oh I would nevah do sucha thing.” She stated indignantly, mischeif flashing in her eyes.

“Mmm-hmm...whatever should I do to such a fiesty and indignant member of my employ?” Nadia wondered, stepping forward and lifting Lyra off the table, the smaller woman clenching her thighs around her to keep stable.

“Ahahahaha well I’ll be damned, I sure hope yah don’t have anythin tah do today. I feel like yah may need to show the new captain how things work ‘round here.” Lyra played along, Nadia assualting her neck with nips and kisses.

“I suppose that must be the case.”
