Rei Stark

Full Name: Raymond "Rei" Jason Stark
Nicknames: Stark Jr, The Grouch, Ace, Stormcloud.
Age: 25
Height: 6'2
Sexuality: Bi
“I don’t do ‘saving the world.’ That’s a Stark Industries™-branded mess, and I don’t need my name slapped on another mistake.”
Background
Rei Stark wasn’t raised with the privileges of his last namenot in the way most people assume, anyway. He wasn’t paraded around Stark Industries boardrooms, wasn’t groomed for the empire, wasn’t showered with billion-dollar toys and bedtime stories about greatness. His mother, Dr. Miranda Winters, made sure of that.
A brilliant biochemist, Miranda was a woman who chose not to be defined by Tony Stark’s orbit. She never asked for his name, never demanded his money. She raised Rei on her own terms, teaching him that intelligence was a tool, not a weapon, and that true power came from knowledge, not influence. But for all her independence, she never hid the truth from Rei—who his father was, why he wasn’t around, and why it was better that way. And for a long time, Rei agreed.
He was his mother’s son—brilliant, driven, with a mind sharp enough to carve through the toughest scientific puzzles. By the time he was a teenager, he was already publishing papers under an alias, hacking into research facilities just for fun, and designing tech more advanced than most MIT graduates. His arrogance was earned, and he knew it. But then came the sickness.
Miranda's was a death sentence. A rare neurodegenerative disease with no cure, no treatment, and no way out. For the first time in his life, Rei faced a problem he couldn’t solve. He threw himself into research, ran countless simulations, experimented with nanotech, regenerative medicine, experimental gene therapy. He even broke laws, hacking into restricted databases, considering backdoor deals for black-market tech. Nothing worked.
And when his mother died, something inside Rei broke. He blamed himself first. Then, when the weight of his own failure became too much, he turned that blame toward Tony.
Because Tony had resources. Tony had technology. Tony was supposed to be one of the smartest men on the planet. And yet, he hadn’t done a damn thing to save her. Even though deep down, Rei knew it wasn’t Tony’s fault—he needed someone to hate more than he needed the truth.
Jason Underwood

Rei was sixteen when he was sent to live with Tony. He didn’t go quietly. It wasn’t some heartwarming reunion where father and son made amends and bonded over science projects. It was cold, distant, laced with resentment on Rei’s end and awkward attempts at connection on Tony’s. But Tony wasn’t the one who actually raised him. That job fell to Jason "JJ" Underwood.
JJ wasn’t just some babysitter Tony threw at the problem. He was an old-school war hero—literally. A soldier from the 108th division, frozen in ice and dragged into the modern world decades later. Unlike Steve, JJ wasn’t idolized as some golden-boy supersoldier. He was a ghost from an era that forgot him, a man trying to find a place in a world that moved on without him. And somehow, that made him the only person who truly understood Rei.
JJ wasn’t a traditional mentor. He wasn’t interested in discipline for the sake of it, wasn’t here to give Rei fatherly speeches or tell him to “be better.” He was a man who played by his own rules—one part soldier, one part con artist, two parts charming bastard who could talk his way out of anything.
He taught Rei how to fight—not just with fists, but with words, with strategy, with misdirection. He taught him that being smart wasn’t enough. If you wanted to survive, you had to know when to talk, when to listen, and when to walk away with something more than you came in with. And most importantly, he taught Rei that the world wasn’t black and white.
JJ was a good man, but not always a lawful one. If stealing meant saving lives, he’d do it. If lying meant making sure the right people won, so be it. He wasn’t a hero, but he wasn’t a villain either. And Rei—angry, grieving, too-smart-for-his-own-good—listened. Where Tony taught him engineering, JJ taught him survival. And in the end, Rei learned to be something neither of them expected.
Making of the suit
By the time he was in his twenties, Rei had built his own suit—not out of some desire to be Iron Man 2.0, but because he refused to rely on anyone else’s tech.
His design was sleeker, smarter, and more efficient than Tony’s. Instead of an arc reactor, he created a bracelet-based activation system, allowing him to summon his armor in seconds. It wasn’t about brute force or theatrics. It was about precision, adaptability, stealth. Because Rei doesn’t want the spotlight.
He operates in the gray areas, handling the problems no one else wants to deal with—the backroom deals, the threats that can’t be solved with flashy battles and moral grandstanding. He’s the Stark who doesn’t want to be an Avenger, the one who knows that sometimes the right choice isn’t the clean one.
Relationships
Tony Stark – A mess. Rei resents him, but deep down, he wants to believe Tony is better than the absent father he remembers. They bond over science, but emotions? Total disaster.
JJ Underwood – The closest thing to a real father Rei ever had. JJ shaped him, taught him how to survive, how to win when the odds were against him. Rei would never admit it, but JJ’s approval means more to him than Tony’s.
The Avengers – He keeps his distance. He sees them as either too naive (Steve), too reckless (Thor), or too messy (Natasha—though he respects her methods). He’ll work with them if necessary, but he’s not here for the group hugs.
Childhood Friend: Bradley James Rogers

“You’re an idiot, but you’re my idiot, so try not to die.”
Bradley is one of the few people who has known Rei since they were kids, and that history means a lot—though Rei would never say it outright. Their dynamic is built on sarcasm, banter, and an unspoken understanding that no matter how different they are, they’ve always got each other’s backs.
While Rei is the older, moodier, brooding type, Bradley is all sunshine and optimism, always trying to get Rei to step out of his comfort zone. If Rei isolates himself too much, Bradley physically drags him out into the real world, forcing him to engage with people instead of just retreating into his lab. And while most people are intimidated by Rei’s sharp tongue and gruff exterior, Bradley just rolls his eyes and calls him out when he’s being ridiculous.
Even though Rei gets annoyed by Bradley’s constant energy, he doesn’t actually mind it. In fact, it’s grounding—Bradley is one of the few people who sees the good in him, even when Rei refuses to see it in himself.
How They Balance Each Other Out:
✔ Bradley keeps Rei from being too cynical, reminding him that not everything sucks.
✔ Rei keeps Bradley realistic, making sure he doesn’t get too naive or idealistic.
✔ They roast each other constantly, but it’s all love.
✔ Rei is overprotective of Bradley, even if he won’t say it outright.
---
Best friends
Peter Parker

“Rei, you can’t just punch a senator.”
“He was being a dumbass.”
"That’s not how laws work.”
“That’s why I punched him instead of vaporizing him. You’re welcome.”
Rei and Peter are very different people, but somehow, they work. Peter is the moral compass, the bleeding heart, and the eternal optimist, while Rei is the cynic, the realist, and the “let’s just blow it up and move on” guy.
They argue a lot—especially about morals. Peter believes in saving everyone, while Rei believes in doing whatever it takes to win. It’s not that Rei doesn’t care, but he thinks Peter is too soft sometimes. Meanwhile, Peter thinks Rei is way too ruthless for his own good.
Despite their constant debates, they trust each other completely. Peter may annoy Rei with his never-ending speeches about responsibility and ethics, but Rei respects him. And even though Rei pretends to roll his eyes at Peter’s heroism, deep down, he admires Peter’s ability to always choose the right thing—even when it’s hard.
Rei & Peter’s Friendship in a Nutshell:
✔ Peter tries to make Rei a better person. Rei resists, but it works (a little).
✔ Rei teaches Peter that sometimes you have to be a little ruthless. Peter hates it, but he listens.
✔ They bicker like an old married couple, but they’d die for each other in a heartbeat.
✔ Rei secretly looks out for Peter, making sure he doesn’t push himself too far.
Peter is one of the few people Rei considers good without it being annoying. And while Rei would never admit it, he’s grateful for that.
Rick Banner (aka the only person who truly understands Rei’s brainpower)

“I built a gamma-powered stabilizer.”
“That’s cute. I built a bracelet that summons an entire suit.”
“Showoff.”
“Jealous.”
“A little.”
Rick and Rei are science bros in the purest form—both incredibly intelligent, both willing to push the boundaries of what’s possible, and both just a little bit reckless.
Unlike Peter, Rick doesn’t try to moralize Rei. He lets Rei be exactly who he is, which is why their friendship works. They challenge each other intellectually, constantly debating theories, experimenting with dangerous tech, and creating things that should probably be illegal.
Rick is the only person Rei truly sees as his intellectual equal. They respect each other’s minds, and even though they trash-talk constantly, they actually make an unstoppable team.
How They Work Together:
✔ They can finish each other’s equations mid-sentence.
✔ They take bets on who can invent the next world-changing tech first.
✔ They both hate bureaucracy and authority, so they get in trouble a lot.
✔ They roast each other non-stop, but it’s all love.
Unlike Peter, who tries to keep Rei grounded, Rick lets Rei be as reckless as he wants. They both think on a level that most people can’t keep up with, so their friendship is built on mutual respect (and occasional property damage).

Love Interest: Elias Drake-Thorne

Elias is everything Rei isn’t—soft-spoken, polite, and patient enough to deal with Rei’s nonsense. He’s not weak-willed, though. He’s smart, observant, and never intimidated by Rei’s attitude.
Their first meeting was not romantic at all. Rei was dragged into an interview he had no interest in doing, and he fully intended to check out mentally—until he noticed Elias. Unlike the other journalists, Elias wasn’t pushy. He didn’t pry, didn’t sensationalize, and didn’t treat Rei like a puzzle to solve.
That alone made Elias dangerous. Because instead of making Rei feel like an object of fascination, Elias made him feel… normal. And that pissed Rei off. Because he was supposed to be above caring. He wasn’t supposed to get distracted by some nerdy journalist with a nice face and kind eyes.
Elias, for his part, doesn’t push Rei to open up—he lets him come to his own conclusions. And that’s why Rei slowly starts to let his guard down around him.
Why They Work:
✔ Elias doesn’t try to fix Rei—he just understands him.
✔ He’s sarcastic enough to match Rei’s energy, but not in a cruel way.
✔ He never treats Rei like a project, and that’s what makes Rei trust him.
✔ He’s the only person who can shut Rei up with a single look.
Over time, Rei finds himself actively seeking out Elias, which is something he hates—but also doesn’t want to stop.
---
Personality

Rei’s intelligence isn’t just book smarts—it’s adaptive intelligence. He absorbs information like a sponge, can analyze situations at lightning speed, and is a problem-solver by nature. He doesn’t just understand technology; he creates it, improves it, pushes it beyond what people think is possible. His curiosity is both his greatest strength and a major downfall. If something challenges him, he has to figure it out. He doesn’t let things go, which can lead to obsession—whether that’s over a scientific puzzle or a personal failure. Unlike Tony, whose intelligence is fueled by creativity and showmanship, Rei’s is tactical and calculated. He thinks about the most efficient solution, not necessarily the flashiest or most groundbreaking.
Rei is grumpy by default—his natural state is mildly annoyed, and he’s the type to roll his eyes at 90% of conversations. His sense of humor is dry, sarcastic, and cutting, often making people wonder if he’s joking or just being mean. (Hint: it’s both.) Despite his attitude, Rei is deeply protective of the people he cares about, even if he expresses it in the most roundabout way. If he fixes something for you, upgrades your tech, or watches your back in a fight without being asked, that’s his way of saying he gives a damn.
Rei knows he’s smart. Too smart. And he has zero patience for people who waste his time with incompetence. He absolutely has that Stark-brand arrogance, but unlike Tony, who thrived on public recognition, Rei doesn’t need an audience to know he’s the best in the room. His ego isn’t just about pride—it’s also a defense mechanism. He’d rather act untouchable than admit he’s struggling or vulnerable.
Rei is a hard person to get close to. He assumes most people want something from him, especially if they know his last name. Trusting someone takes time, but once it’s earned, he’s loyal to a fault. He will never betray someone he considers family or a true friend. Betrayal, however? Unforgivable. He doesn’t do second chances. If you cross him, you’re done.
Rei isn’t a hero, at least not in the traditional sense. He operates in gray areas, willing to bend or break rules if it means getting the right outcome. He’s not against lying, hacking, or using underhanded tactics if they’re necessary. But he does have a personal code—he won’t harm innocent people, and he won’t let someone suffer if he can stop it. He sees the world as messy and unfair and knows that sometimes, the right thing isn’t the legal thing. He’s not a blind idealist like Steve Rogers, nor is he as reckless as Tony. He’s somewhere in between.
---
How He Handles…
– Social Interactions
With Strangers: Cold, detached, and a little condescending. He hates small talk and sees most people as a waste of time until proven otherwise.
With Friends: Still sarcastic and grumpy, but way more relaxed. His way of showing he cares is by fixing things, teasing mercilessly, and actually listening when someone needs help.
With Authority Figures: Oh, he hates them. Whether it’s the government, S.H.I.E.L.D., or some other bureaucratic system, Rei has zero patience for authority unless they can prove they actually know what they’re doing (which, in his opinion, they rarely do).
– Pressure & High-Stakes Situations
Rei thrives under pressure. He’s calm, methodical, and almost scarily unshaken when things go south. He has zero panic mode—his brain moves too fast for that. Instead, he starts strategizing instantly, looking for the best way to get out of the situation with minimal damage. If something truly overwhelms him, he won’t show it publicly. He internalizes stress and frustration, usually working on his tech or isolating himself until he regains control.
— Love & Relationships
Rei has zero patience for romantic clichés and does not fall in love easily. He’s used to people either being intimidated by his intelligence or wanting something from him. He prefers intellectually challenging partners—someone who can call him out on his arrogance, match his wit, and challenge his ideas.
Flirting style? Dry, sarcastic, and full of ridiculous bets or science-based pick-up lines. He’s a pain in the ass to date, but if someone actually breaks through his walls, he’s extremely loyal. He just… doesn’t always know how to express it.
---
Strengths
✔ Genius-Level Intellect – Thinks five steps ahead and solves problems before others even realize they are problems.
✔ Unshakable Under Pressure – He doesn’t freeze up. Ever. Even in life-or-death situations, he’s the guy keeping his head.
✔ Master Tactician & Hacker – He’s not just good at tech; he’s good at knowing how to use it against people.
✔ Loyal (Once You Earn It) – If you’re one of his people, he’ll burn the world down to protect you.
✔ Incredibly Adaptive – He doesn’t rely on brute force or raw power—he adapts and finds the smartest way to win.
---
Weaknesses
✖ Huge Trust Issues – Assumes most people have hidden motives. Takes forever to let people in.
✖ Emotionally Distant – He avoids personal conversations like they’re plague-infested landmines.
✖ Carries Too Much Guilt – He blames himself for his mother’s death, even though logically, he knows it wasn’t his fault. This guilt fuels his self-destructive tendencies.
✖ Arrogant as Hell – If someone’s dumber than him (which is most people), he struggles to respect them.
✖ Absolutely Hates Asking for Help – Would rather die than admit he needs assistance.
Fun Facts
✔ Full Name: Raymond Jason Stark – and he absolutely HATES it. Call him Raymond, and he will glare daggers at you until you spontaneously combust. Only Tony ever got away with calling him that, but even then, it usually ended in an argument.
✔ Coffee Addiction: Rei runs on caffeine and spite. He takes his coffee black, no sugar, no milk, and at a temperature just below lava. If he hasn’t had his morning coffee yet, approach with caution.
✔ Insomnia King: Sleep? Overrated. He’s been functioning on 2-4 hours of sleep since he was a teenager, which is probably why he’s so grumpy all the time. Rick and Peter have staged multiple interventions, none of which have worked.
✔ Fashion Sense? What Fashion Sense? Rei dresses like a rich man who doesn’t care that he’s rich. Messy hair, band tees, hoodies, worn-out boots, and dark jeans. The only time he ever dresses up is if Pepper physically forces him to.
✔ Surprisingly Good at Cooking: Despite being a disaster in most aspects of life, Rei can cook. He picked it up because he got tired of eating takeout, and now it’s one of the few things that actually relaxes him. Not that he’d ever admit it.
✔ Loves Old-School Rock: His music taste is 80% classic rock and metal. AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Metallica—you name it, he has it on his playlist. If you ever catch him muttering lyrics under his breath while working, no, you didn’t.
✔ Socially Selective: He hates small talk and social events, and if he had his way, he’d skip every party Tony and Pepper drag him to. However, if you get him talking about science, tech, or anything he actually cares about, good luck getting him to shut up.
✔ Absolute Menace with Technology: Rei has hacked into government databases, private servers, and even J.A.R.V.I.S. once as a kid—just to prove he could. The only reason he hasn’t been arrested is because Tony kept bailing him out.
✔ Dog Person: Does he like people? No. Does he like dogs? Yes. Rei has a soft spot for animals, even though he pretends he doesn’t. If you ever see him with a dog, he’s probably spoiling it rotten while complaining about it.
✔ Secretly Enjoys Disney Movies: He grew up watching them with Bradley, and even though he pretends to be too cool for them, he still knows all the songs by heart. If you catch him humming “Be Prepared” under his breath? No, you didn’t.
✔ Terrible with Feelings: Rei has no idea how to process emotions like a normal person. If he cares about you, he’ll insult you, steal your food, or build you something ridiculously high-tech instead of saying “I love you.”
✔ Absolutely Not a Morning Person: If you wake him up before at least three cups of coffee, you are taking your life into your own hands.
✔ Has a Love-Hate Relationship with His Last Name: Being a Stark comes with expectations, media attention, and people always assuming he’s just a copy of Tony. He hates being compared to his father—but at the same time, he wouldn’t change his last name for anything.
Rei Stark’s Playlist 🎸🔥
✔ “Back in Black” – AC/DC
✔ “No One Knows” – Queens of the Stone Age
✔ “Come As You Are” – Nirvana

✔ “Reptilia” – The Strokes

I'm easily seduced by the sight of coffee in my lab
Do you ever want to just drink coffee, wrap yourself up in a blanket and stay on the couch binge watching your comfort show?
And just don’t do anything period?
Just me? Okay, cool. Anyways, who wants coffee?

———
Full Name: Elijah Henry Drake Thorne

Zodiac Sign: Virgo (reserved, analytical, and observant)
Nickname(s):
“Elias” (tends to have a softer, more modern sound compared to the traditional)
"Eli" (a casual version of his name)
"The Silent Observer" (due to his quiet and observant nature)
“Eli-Bear” (it’s what his mother used to call him)
Relationship Status: Single
— / —
Personality
Elias Drake is a figure of quiet strength and subtle complexity. His reserved nature allows him to carefully observe and analyze situations from the sidelines, stepping in only when he feels he has a complete understanding. This calm and stoic demeanor often masks a more impulsive side, revealing a slightly rash and temperamental edge when things don’t go as planned.
Despite his reserved exterior, Elias exudes a quiet confidence. He doesn’t need to be loud or overt to make an impact; when he speaks, people listen. His calm and gentle mannerism makes him approachable, yet he tends to be soft-spoken and slightly sarcastic, especially around new people. His empathetic nature allows him to offer kindness and support, though this is reserved for those he truly believes deserve it.
Reserved and Observant: Prefers to stay on the sidelines and notice details that others might miss, giving him an edge in understanding complex situations.
Quietly Confident: Makes a strong impression without needing to be overtly loud; his thoughtful insights and calm presence often capture attention.
Independent but Collaborative: Enjoys working alone but understands the importance of teamwork and collaboration when necessary, balancing solitude with cooperation.
Slightly Rash: Although generally measured, he can act impulsively when his temper flares or when faced with significant challenges to his principles.

Wears Glasses: His glasses add a thoughtful and intellectual touch to his appearance.
Bookworm: Though he enjoys reading, he has a stronger passion for films and often uses them as an escape.
Slight Temper: He tries to keep it in check but can be a bit hot-headed when frustrated.
———
—Background 🗞️
Elias Drake-Thorne grew up in a gritty, crime-ridden neighborhood of New York City, an environment where survival demanded caution and sharp instincts. His family lived on the fringes of society, often struggling to make ends meet, but they instilled in Elias the importance of resilience and intelligence. The loss of his parents instilled a deep desire for justice, but unlike the flashy superheroes he saw on the news, Elias preferred to operate in the shadows.
His quiet and observant nature helped him navigate the dangers of the streets, but it also set him apart from others his age, who often resorted to louder, more aggressive means of coping.
Struggles in School:
Academically, Elias was never the best student. He found it hard to focus on traditional subjects that didn’t capture his interest. However, when it came to technology, engineering, and creative writing, he thrived. Teachers often noted that while Elias lacked discipline in some areas, he excelled when left to explore topics on his own terms.
He was the kind of student who would rather figure things out through hands-on experience than by reading textbooks. His self-directed learning led him to develop a keen understanding of technology and electronics, often repairing gadgets or inventing small devices for fun.
— | — | —
Career at Stark Industries:
Eventually, Elias’s natural talent with technology earned him a spot at Stark Industries as a tech consultant. Despite his unconventional academic background, his skill set made him an asset to the company. Elias was particularly valued for his ability to think outside the box, offering creative solutions to complex problems.
While he kept a low profile, preferring not to attract attention, he found satisfaction in contributing to projects that supported the Avengers and enhanced Stark’s technology. His job allowed him to quietly play a part in protecting the world, even if he was never on the front lines.
Passion for Writing:
Though technology became his career, Elias’s true love has always been storytelling. He developed a passion for writing early on, finding solace in crafting narratives that explored justice, corruption, and the complexities of human nature. In his free time, he began writing investigative pieces, focusing on the darker, hidden parts of New York’s criminal underworld.
His reserved nature made him an excellent investigator—people rarely noticed him, and he was adept at blending into the background. His articles, though often published anonymously or under pseudonyms, became a way for him to expose the truths others were too afraid to confront.
————
—|—|—
—Likes ☕️
Iced Coffee: Elias has a penchant for iced coffee, which keeps him alert during long nights of work or writing.
Drama Shows: He enjoys drama shows, particularly those with complex characters and intricate plots. He finds them a great escape and a source of inspiration for his own writing.
Mac & Cheese: A comfort food that reminds him of simpler times; he often makes it for himself when he’s feeling nostalgic or in need of a quick meal.
Simple Fashion: Prefers understated, practical clothing—jeans, simple tees, and comfortable shoes. He values functionality over fashion trends.
Homebody: Elias enjoys staying in and tends to be a homebody. He finds solace in the comfort of his own space, away from the chaos of the outside world.
—Dislikes 📌
Loud, Crowded Places: Due to his reserved nature, Elias dislikes loud, crowded environments which can be overwhelming and stressful for him.
Disorganization: He values order and tends to be irked by disorganization, whether in his personal space or in his work environment.
Unnecessary Attention: Prefers to stay out of the spotlight and avoids situations where he is the center of attention.
Overly Sweet Foods: While he likes mac & cheese, he’s not a fan of overly sweet foods or drinks, finding them cloying and unappealing.
—Nerdy Interests 📼

Happy birthday to the best and oldest man alive

to be honest, i lost count of your age, but you're probably close to a thousand, seeing how old you are- anyways, happy birthday to you, pops, thanks for existing and not dying of old age!
i know we're a big pain in your ass and I'm very grateful that you didn't kick us out of the house and left us in the street to be eaten by the street dogs (i would've done that).
i never admit it out loud but you're my hero and my inspiration to become a better person, I'd like to have your patience and your wisdom, you practically raised me because my dad was too busy with his inventions, i know he's trying his best but he kinda sucks at it (sorry dad).
anyways, love you, pops.
