What do you think about RusBul? Like how do you think their relationship was/is? Because Russia did save us from the Ottomans buttt afterwards he basically tried to make us "Become one with Russia, da!" and we were influenced by him since pretty much really late in time. But in todays era?

MMMmMMmmm I honestly didn’t expect I was gonna start shipping this as much as I did, but it happened and now I am in love with the pairing! 

Their relationship started a really long time ago wen they were both kids and Bulgaria was the one who taught Russia the Cyrillic alphabet and I can’t sop imagining cute scenes with that tbh, 

Then Russia was under ruse of the Golden Horde (poor kid, really, I imagine some really fucked up shit happened to him then and that’s what made him into the creepy fellow he is)  Then Bulgaria was under Ottoman rule, during which Russia got free, and I imagine that was partially his personal reason to want to help Bulgaria out, because he knows what it’s like to be under the rule of somebody who’s an ass to you and your people. So that’s the time I imagine Boris developed feelings for Ivan because he saved him and all that. Right after Independence was gained tho they kinda argues like fuck because of the whole territory splinting with the Treaty of Berlin (Boris feels betrayed as fuck ofc)  

And pretty much until WW2 they we kinda on bad terms, ( I’m talking personally here) Until Bulgaria changed sides in the war from Nazi Germany to the Solviet union, they made up (kinda) and after the war Bulgaria became People’s Republic of Bulgaria, Now, here their relationship became kind of fucked up emotionally because Boris both really loved Ivan but realized he’s being a manipulative fuck towards him but kinda couldn’t do anything about it and convinced himself Ivan and the Soviet Union are great and amazing and Bulgaria became “the most loyal Soviet ally”(I actually read this quote in a book a few years ago, i kid you not) Noting that Bulgaria wasn’t actually a part of the union btw.

So yeah, then I imagine their relationship from Boris’s side personally was “I know you’re manipulating the shit outta me but you’re doing it well enough for me to fall fro you completely and pretend you feel the same” 

After 1990 when socialism fell, I think they had a small falling out, but Ivan was pretty depressed then and felt super alone so he kinda clung to Boris (one of the few people who actually liked him) so they were pretty close in the 90s (Both trying to awkwardly adjust to capitalism) then slowly they started drifting apart a lot, even more when Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007. 

But I can see them still being friends nowdays, in a way that you are with somebody you know you’ve had something great with and so much history but kinda stopped being an important factor in their life and it’s just very melancholic and kinda sad and kinds hurts sometimes

Somebody get my mind out of the gutter I have no idea how but I started shipping Fem Russia and Bulgaria and I am crying now ;A;

 I think I can ship this pairing in any arrangement possible tbh I need help literally nobody else ships this
