(Sorry if this is funky, this is my first time writing like this)

Onyx was working in Primos garden before he heard the news.

the Papa's deaths.

It started from an image of the caskets in the band group chat, he at first thought it was a ghoul photoshopping them in there as a joke.

Soon his blood went cold as he felt dread fill his body, being loyal to the Papa's was all he was good at. They couldn't just 𝙙𝙞𝙚 on him.

Soon nothing became important anymore, what he was summoned to do became nothing. The Papa's whom he learned to trust just gone, he didn't care about anyone but them and their thoughts

The garden started to rot, his temper always up, always on edge.

Of course, everyone notices this change. However, no one could get Onyx to leave that very part of the garden where Primo always used to be.

Soon minutes turned into hours, hours turned into days, days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and weeks turned into years.

Onyx was sitting there like a dog waiting for its owner to come back.

No one understood what ever fully happened, but It's not like Onyx could tell them.

Onyx let out a sympathetic 'oh' before responding.

"That is weird.. I would be frustrated if I were you, maybe they're just sad because you're not there for them to backstab again. I don't want to cry about your leaving because you're gonna be far happier there than here.." Onyx sighed before continuing, "How long were you a murderer?" Onyx questioned.

Onyx was at your bedroom door, holding a dead bird in his teeth like a cat would, knocking on the door

Miasma opened the door, and Onyx was shocked to see a ghoul standing on the other side. He was still shorter than Onyx by about 4 inches, having the exact same hair has Miasma. Miasma hadn't thought about how Onyx did not know what he looked like as a ghoul.

"Hey... You got a bird?" Miasma asked, his voice the exact same as the Miasma Onyx knew.

Onyx nodded, understanding

"Ok, thats ok.... I'm not gonna hold you back and get you in trouble. Have a good day, Chain.. " Onyx said gently before opening his book and reading to himself.

Onyx was near a tree that was pretty close to the lake Miasma and Primo got pulled into previously.

Onyx sat under the tree and grabbed his book that he left there previously on accident

Onyx looked around making sure he was safe, basically scanning the area before he started reading. He was on edge reading outside in the semi-open but he didn't really care.

Onyx heard a splash in the lake, looking up to see what it was, but he saw… nothing. He went back to reading, every once in a while hearing a splash, but eventually…

“What are you doing?” Onyx looked up to see a ghoul with his head popped out halfway in the lake. Chain.

Onyx chuckles

"It's definitely not the first, and probably won't be the last. It's my fault though. I never look down, I forget" Onyx said, being a tall ghoul had a lot of cons.

Cotton has been working all day in the infirmary, which is definitely not out of the ordinary. But in all honesty the poor ghoulette is pretty whipped. But alas she still has afew hours till someone else takes over.

Cotton decided to take a small break and grab something to eat from the kitchen, and maybe some coffee as-well. She walked out of the infirmary closing the door behind her putting her sign up that she would be back momentarily.

As Cotton was walking through the halls she was very rudely interrupted by getting bumped into a very much taller ghoul.

Onyx was walking through the halls as he was trying to go get something from his room. However, he wasn't paying attention and bumped into a much smaller ghoulette

"oh dear- Are you alright? I didn't mean to hurt you if I did" Onyx said apologetically, somehow he always ran into a smaller ghoul, "I didn't mean to interrupt anything you were doing"

Onyx smiled warmly back

"It's been a while since I've seen you too, I'm happy you're ok.." Onyx says calmly as he looks down at her, "I didn't mean to run into you just very tall.. I don't always pay attention, Haha.." Onyx said, trying to be amusing

"Oh! Reading and sitting over here, sorry" Onyx laughed to himself, "I didn't mean to confuse you. Sorry, Chain"

Onyx's smile dropped, his tail having a death grip on Miasmas tail

"I've heard stuff... Around.. " Onyx said sadly and quietly, "I know you feel you don't belong here, we've talked about that before... As much as I don't want to leave you I'm not going to make you stay. I'm happy that youre going to a place where you can feel you belong." Onyx says, sadly but positive.

No I wasn't actually trying to dismember bodies or eat people alive I was just trying to figure out if they were real or made of cake

"Thank you, Chain... I believe you can get better. You're doing good so far, last time we talked you would've already been flipping out" Onyx said reassuringly

"that's so cool! I don't think I would've thought of that." Onyx said adoringly before continuing, "I've seen rings made out of the beak, I don't know if that'd interest you, Haha" Onyx suggested

"Ive seen the feet be used as good luck though, I could probably help you make it into a keychain though if you want" Onyx smiled beside Miasma, "I'm happy you're healed, I don't like seeing you in pain"
