Each day’s events were based off of these few words. Surviving was just a routine with little variety. The forest grew darker and thicker around the cookie, and surrounded them with an unnerving silence. Nothing changed, except Energy Drink’s mental state. Sometimes, they were weary of the jelly walkers returning. Maybe, soon, they would break the crunching pattern of leaves under the bulky cookie’s feet. Maybe one would jump out and Energy Drink would find a use for their weapon again. But after months, supposedly, even those thoughts faded. It had came to the point that they wished one would show it’s ugly face.

Energy Drink had spent most of their days just searching for any sign of life. With their home city long gone, they had mostly given up on the idea. Yet, it was that very idea that kept them moving forward.

Then, they heard it.

After waking up from a slight breeze, Energy Drink heard the low growl of something. What it was didn’t matter, as long as it was indeed something and not their mind.

They ran towards the sound as fast as they could while still being quiet. In the clearing a small distance away, there was a jelly walker hovering over some kind of device.

A low chuckle rose from Energy Drink’s throat. They would make this last. After all, who knew when they would be blessed like this again?

“WATCH OUT! THEYRE HERE!”

Energy Drink watched with a bewildered expression as the jellywalker ran past them. They thought to chase the vile thing, but was more curious about the device. It told the monster to run, but why? And also how…

There wasn’t anyone around. Only the odd device and themselves remained. Energy Drink played with it in their hands. It seemed to have a speaker and something to speak into.

“Hello, who are you?”
