I finally watched The Sound of Music and like I get it now, I get it. 

It’s a beautiful two hour love story of a strict man finally opening his heart again and then a fifty minute public service announcement to hate the nazis. Brilliant.

I want groundhog day to be a thing in the far future where scholars say things like:

While there were many technological advancements in this time period, people also believed in the Groundhog Gods of Time.

There was the more mischievous god who would extend cold weather upon the people if it was awoken before solar noon. The famous Box Museum was built around one of the said locations people would collect supplies in bulk in preparation for the delayed harvests.

Then there was the more feared and powerful Groundhog God that would loop time indefinitely. Only those that could demonstrate virtuosity of a musical instrument could be freed. We believe this fear to achieve musical mastery is what led to the near idol worship bestowed to musicians at that time. How could one not revere an individual for successfully abating a god.

Lest us not forget the famous horror film from 1993 where a man is chosen at random, unable to escape the cursed loop even by suicide. This is replayed every year to warn individuals of a fate that might befall them.
