In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the game may become glitched simply due to the player being too powerful.

If the player overlevels Mario and Luigi enough to kill Bowser/Rookie in the Woohoo Hooniversity battle against Popple and Rookie in a single attack on the first turn, the game will make him reappear after being defeated simply because it did not account for the player being able to kill him this quickly.

Rookie will remain in his shocked pose for the remainder of the battle, including the results screen, and not perform any actions otherwise.
