How To Get Away With Murder (Review)

HTGAWM came back with everything. As expected, is not it? This series can't disappoint us at all.

We had an episode full of Wes's memories. "I havent yet overcome this death" It is hard to believe that one of the kids died. And wes was one of my favorites, even more so because he was so close to Annalise.

And  Annalize is in jail! They managed to get the queen to jail. But the fight is not over yet. I am sure that the powerful, supreme diva will return, however, raising all who have harmed her to hell.

Now I want to take a minute to talk about Karla. What is this gig, girl? She's surprising me. Not that I didn't think her acting good before, it's nothing like that. It's just that her character has evolved so much. If you think of the first season as far as Laurel was boring and even sleepy, and now see the strong woman she has become, it is a huge breakthrough. Of all the young characters, she and Asher are the ones who have had interesting twists in the plot. I used to hate Asher. Today it has become one of my favorites. I don't know what it's going to be like for Laurel, after having lost the love of her life. I hope she's well. She and the baby.

We're talking about character evolution, but what about Connor in this story? I don’t know what's happening to this boy. Since Connor split from Oliver, the character has been coming downhill. It is sinking more and more. Connor used to be that smiling and fun person, but those events are changing him. There must always be a problem person in this kind of situation, and they chose Connor. I really don’t know why the writers decided to do this with one of the - or perhaps the most - popular of the series. I'm not supporting Connor. And he talking those horrible things to Laurel was the last straw. He really deserved the punch he took from Asher.

Micaela didn't liked her boyfriend's attitude. Did she have a violent past? Her reaction made it clear that she doesn’t like this kind of attitude and may have something to do with her past with the foster mother.

At the end of the episode Frank turned himself in to the police. Do you really believe he killed Wes? First; The series wouldn’t deliver like that. Second; I think Frank's doing it because of Laurel. He may feel guilty, even more so after all he's done, not just to her, but it seems that it's his talent to screw up everyone's life. We have seen in past episodes how Frank is vunerable. He's already been arrested, he's already done a lot of shit in his life, but his heart just wants to be loved by somebody. I think that hear Laurel talking all that; "Who loved Wes more than him" broke him off. That's why he gave himself up. That way, he would solve two things at the same time, taking Annalize from jail too.

HTGAWM voltou com tudo. Como o esperado, não é? Essa série não consegue decepcionar a gente nem um pouquinho.

Tivemos um episódio repleto de memórias de Wes. “Ainda não superei essa morte” É difícil acreditar que um dos meninos morreram. E wes era um dos meus preferidos, ainda mais por ele são tão próximo da Annalise.

E a Annalise foi encana mesmo! Conseguiram levar a rainha para a cadeia. Mas a luta ainda não acabou. Tenho certeza que a diva, poderosa, suprema retornará contudo, levanto todos os que a prejudicaram para o inferno.

Agora quero reservar um minuto para falar sobre Karla. Que atuação é essa, menina? Ela está me surpreendendo. Não que eu não achasse sua atuação boa antes, não é nada disso. É só que a personagem dela evoluiu tanto. Se você pensar na primeira temporada no quanto a Laurel era mesquinha e até sonsa, e ver agora a mulher forte que ela se tornou, é um avanço enorme. De todos os personagens jovens ela e o Asher são o que tiveram reviravoltas interessantes na trama. Eu costumava odiar Asher. Hoje ele se tornou um dos meus preferidos. Eu não sei como vai ser daqui para frente para a Laurel, depois de ter perdido o amor da sua vida. Espero que ela fique bem. Ela e o bebê.

Estamos falando de evolução dos personagens, mas e o Connor nessa história? Eu não sei o que está acontecendo com esse menino. Desde que o Connor se separou do Oliver, o personagem vem descendo ladeira a baixo. Está afundando cada vez mais. Connor costumava ser aquele cara sorridente e divertido, mas esses acontecimentos estão mudando ele. Sempre tem que existir um problemático nesse tipo de situação, e escolheram o Connor. Realmente não sei por que os roteiristas decidiram fazer isso com um dos - ou talvez o mais - popular da série. Eu não estou suportando o Connor. E ele falando aquelas coisas horríveis para a Laurel foi a gota d’agua. Mereceu mesmo o soco que levou do Asher.

Micaela que não gostou da atitude do namorado. Teria ela um passado violento? Sua reação deixou claro que ela não gosta desse tipo de atitude e talvez tenha algo a ver com seu passado com a mãe adotiva.

No final do episódio Frank se entregou para a polícia. Vocês acreditam mesmo que ele tenha matado o Wes? Primeiro; a série não entregaria isso assim de cara. Segundo; creio que o Frank está fazendo isso por causa da Laurel. Ele talvez sinta culpa, ainda mais depois de tudo o que ele fez, não só para ela, mas parece que é o talento dele ferrar com a vida de todo mundo.  Vimos nos episódios passados como Frank é vunerável. Ele já foi preso, já fez muita merda na vida, mas o coração só quer ser amado por alguém.Acho que escutar a Laurel falando tudo aquilo; “Que amou o Wes mais do que ele” acabou com ele. Por isso ele se entregou. Assim resolveria duas coisas ao mesmo tempo, tirando a Annalise da cadeia também.

The Vampire Diaries (Review)

The Vampire Diaries is back and walking towards the end. And the series is giving us episodes full of nostalgia.

It is hard not to move by scenes of Sheriff Forbes with his daughter. When it comes to Caroline and her mother we feel without structures, and the tears always come, there is no way. It's amazing the chemistry that actresses have together. They look like a real mother and daughter.

We also had Vicky, Tyler, and Bonnie's grandmother. First Season Feeling's! It's cool how no one forgets Vicky. There are several characters who have died in TVD, some of us don't even remember name. But Vicky no. The girl died in the first episodes of the series and we still remember her clearly.

The episode was basically focused on Damon, or rather his subconscious. Since Sybil did bring his humanity back. Which, honestly, was great. Damon is much more interesting with humanity. Both, Damon and Stefan when they are without humanity are predictable. Different from when they are themselves, because they show feelings with attitudes.

It's so wonderful to see Damon and Bonnie's friendship. I was missing it.

Damon really feels bad for causing so much pain and for killing so many people. I don't even want to see when it's Stefan's turn to come back. He's going to look very bad on himself.

We also had a Defan time which was beautiful. These moments are rare between the two brothers. Damon saying he loves Stefan, it's so rare to see. It was so beautiful to see Damon forgive Stefan for turning him into a vampire, as we know how much “good Stefan” feels about it.

About Caroline and Stefan, I am very much in doubt if they will end up together at the end of the series. Because she can’t bring his humanity on her own, this already speaks volumes about the development of this relationship.

Cades is back and has already addressed the future of the mermaids. I was really wondering what they would do with these two characters. Well, their future was well deserving, wasn’t it?

The Vampire Diaries está de volta e caminhando para o final. E a série está nos entregando episódios cheios de nostalgia.

Foi difícil não se emocionar com as cenas da Xerife Forbes com a sua filha. Quando se trata de Caroline e sua mãe a gente fica sem estruturas, e as lágrimas sempre vem, não tem jeito. É incrível a química que as atrizes têm juntas. Parecem mãe e filha de verdade.

Também matamos a saudade de Vicky, Tyler e a avó de Bonnie. Feeling’s! É legal como ninguém se esquece da Vicky. Existe vários personagens que já morreram em TVD, uns a gente nem se lembra do nome. Mas a Vicky não. A garota morreu nos primeiros episódios da série e ainda nos lembramos dela com clareza.

O episódio foi, basicamente, focado no Damon, ou melhor, no seu subconsciente. Já que Sybil fez o favor de trazer a humanidade dele de volta. O que, sinceramente, foi ótimo. Damon é muito mais interessante com humanidade. Ambos, Damon e Stefan, quando estão sem humanidade são previsíveis. Diferente de quando são eles mesmos, porque demonstram sentimentos com atitudes.

É tão maravilhoso ver a amizade de Damon e Bonnie. Eu estava sentindo falta disso. 

Damon realmente se sente mal por ter causado tanta dor e por ter matado tantas pessoas. Não quero nem ver quando for a vez do Stefan “voltar”. Ele vai ficar muito mal consigo mesmo.

Tivemos também um momento Defan que foi lindo. São raros esses momentos entre os dois irmãos. Damon dizendo que ama o Stefan, é tão raro de se ver. Foi muito bonito ver Damon perdoando Stefan por tê-lo transformado em vampiro, já que sabemos o quanto Stefan bonzinho sente por isso.

Sobre Caroline e Stefan, eu fiquei muito em dúvida se eles vão terminar juntos no final da série. Pelo fato dela não conseguir trazer a humanidade dele sozinha, já diz muito dobre o desenvolvimento desse relacionamento.

Cades está de volta e já tratou de resolver o futuro das sereias. Eu estava mesmo me perguntando o que fariam com essas duas personagens. E bom, o futuro delas foi bem merecedor, não é mesmo?

A Series of Unfortunate Events (Review)

I finished Series of Unfortunate Events. There is not much to say about a Netflix production. Well, it’s Netflix we’re talking about. Neil Patrick Harris is wonderful. I just can’t see him as Neil, and yes, like Count Olaf. My favorite “character” was Stefano. (Detail in his voice when he says this, sensational). Children are also lovely. Sunny does not even talk. But okay, let’s compare. I am a fan - assumed - of Jim Carrey and I will not make comparisons about the acting of the two actors, since I loved both. Neil Patrick made his own version of Count Olaf and really did a good job. I did not read the books, but I watched the 2004 film. And in my opinion, the film made me more afraid. I don’t know if it’s because I was a kid at the time, or because Jim Carrey’s faces really scare me, but I found the Netflix version a bit more cheesy than haunting, more than I was particularly waiting for, being a Netflix series and because of Neil’s interviews. But nothing was negative, maybe some of the scenes a little too long, but nothing to bother. Altogether, the series is very good, and leaves you wanting to see the continuation of the story of the brothers Baudelaire. “Look away. Looooook awayyyy”. This opening will stick to my head for a long time.

Terminei Desventura em Séries. Não tem muito o que dizer de uma produção da Netflix, pois é de Netflix que estamos falando. Neil Patrick Harris está maravilhoso. Eu simplesmente não consigo enxergá-lo como Neil, e sim, como o Conde Olaf. Meu “personagem” preferido foi Stefano. (Detalhe na voz dele quando fala isso, sensacional). As crianças também são adoráveis. A Sunny então, nem se fala. Mas okay, vamos as comparações. Eu sou uma fã - assumida - de Jim Carrey e não vou fazer comparações sobre a atuação dos dois atores, já que eu amei as duas. Neil Patrick fez sua própria versão do Conde Olaf e sinseramente fez um bom trabalho. Eu não li aos livros, mas assisti ao filme de 2004. E, na minha opinião, o filme me deu mais medo. Não sei se é porque eu era uma criança na época, ou se porque as caras do Jim Carrey realmente assustam, porem achei a versão da Netflix um pouco mais caricata do que assombrosa, mais do que eu, particularmente, estava esperando, por ser uma série da Netflix e por causa das entrevistas do Neil. Mas nada foi negativo, talvez algumas das cenas um pouco longa demais, porem não chega a incomodar. Ao todo, a série é muito boa, e te deixa com vontade de ver a continuação da historia do irmãos Baudelaire. “Look away. Looooook awayyyy”. Essa abertura vai ficar grudada na minha cabeça por um bom tempo

Roman - Blindspot

Since the Roman character entered in Blindspot I felt a certain “attachment” to him. I don’t know why that happened, I don’t know if it’s the way the writers write the character or if it’s the performance of Luke Mitchell. I only know that from the beginning I have this fear that he might die.

We start with the fact that Roman is Jane’s brother, which makes things worse, since we like Jane (the main character) so it’s kind of hard to stay against the BROTHER that she so loves.

So the series presents us with a violent brother who likes to kill. And finally, it is revealed to us that he is not able to LOVE. What? I find it absurd that he does not use even a compassion for his sister. (I’m talking about before Roman loses his memory, of course). But even now, after not remembering anything. Who’s on his side? Who is the only person who really cares? Your sister. Exactly. So yes, I think Roman is capable of LOVE. At least Jane. Your sister.

But now talking about that feeling inside me, who dies of fear that something happens with this character. I really hope he does not die. For Jane who would suffer, of course, but for me too. I like him too much. And the situation got worse when they decided to erase the boy’s memory and hold him like a dog. I know Roman is a cold-blooded murderer, but I can’t hate him. I can’t. _______________

Desde que o personagem Roman entrou em Blindspot eu senti um certo “apego” a ele. Eu não sei por que isso aconteceu, eu não sei se é a maneira como os escritores escrevem o personagem ou se é a performance de Luke Mitchell. Só sei que desde o começo tenho esse medo de que ele possa morrer.

Começamos com o fato de que Roman é o irmão da Jane, o que torna as coisas piores, já que nós gostamos da Jane (a personagem principal), então é meio difícil ficar contra o IRMÃO que ela tanto ama.

Assim, a série nos apresenta um irmão violento que gosta de matar. E, finalmente, revela-nos que ele não é capaz de AMAR. O que? Eu acho um absurdo que ele não usurflua nem mesmo uma compaixão por sua irmã. (Eu estou falando antes de Roman perder sua memória, é claro). Mas mesmo agora, depois de não se lembrar de nada. Quem está ao seu lado? Quem é a única pessoa que realmente se importa? Sua irmã. Exatamente. Então sim, eu acho que Roman é capaz de AMAR. Pelo menos Jane. Sua irmã.

Mas agora falando sobre esse sentimento dentro de mim, que morre de medo de que algo aconteça com esse personagem. Eu realmente espero que ele não morra. Para Jane que sofreria, claro, mas para mim também. Eu gosto muito dele. E a situação piorou quando eles decidiram apagar a memória do menino e prendê-lo como um cão. Eu sei que Roman é um assassino à sangue frio, mas eu não consigo odiá-lo. Năo consigo.

Sherlock Holmes Season 4 (Review)

Não acompanhei Sherlock desde o inicio. Confesso que fiquei interessada em ver a série por conta dos atores principais, mas me apaixonei tanto pela história, quanto pelo elenco e direção. Eu já tinha visto o filme com o Jude Law e Robert Downey Jr, mas aquilo que eu vi no filme nem chegou perto da magnificência que foi ver Sherlock.

O lado bom de ter visto depois, foi que não tive que esperar o hiatus por tanto tempo. Eu já tinha as 3 temporadas a minha desposição e o episódio especial que foi ao ar em 2016 estava passando. Então eu realmente não sei o que é esperar, desesperadamente, pela volta dessa série. Agora, infelizmente eu vou saber. Já que o diretor negou que essa foi a última temporada. Amém.

Só que vamos falar um pouco sobre essa temporada. Já vi que tem muita crítica negativa por aí, só que não sei por quê. Realmente não sei. Eu amei essa temporada. Achei ela bem mais emotiva que as outras, e deve ser por causa disso que os críticos não curtiram muito. Já eu acho que trazer as emoções do Sherlock à tona foi muito interessante. O que foi Benedict Cumberbatch nesses três episódios? Eu fiquei surpresa com a cena do John dando os socos no Sherlock e do próprio destruindo o caixão. Essa ultima foi até chocante, já que o maximo que a gente viu do Sherlock foi ele atirando na parede. Martin Freeman também estava excelente, o que dizer da cena da morte da Mary? Chorei horrores. Cansei de contar quantas vezes perdi o folego vendo esses episódios. Estou aqui ansiosa por mais. Ótima temporada.

I didn’t follow Sherlock from the start. I confess that I was interested in seeing the series on behalf of the main actors, but I fell so much in the history, so much by the cast and the direction. I had seen the movie with Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr, but what I saw in the movie didn’t even come close to the magnificence it was to see Sherlock.

The good thing about seeing Sherlock later was that I did not have to wait the hiatus for so long. I already had the 3 seasons on my deposition and the special episode that aired in 2016 was passing. So I really don’t know what it is to wait, desperately, for the return of this series. Now, unfortunately I’ll know. Since the director denied that this was the last season. Amen.

But let’s talk a bit about this season. I have already seen that there is a lot of negative criticism out there, but I don’t know why. I really do not know. I loved this season. I think is more emotional than the others, and that’s why the critics did not like it very much. Already I think bringing the emotions of Sherlock to the surface was very interesting. What was Benedict Cumberbatch in those three episodes? I was surprised at the scene of John giving the punches on the Sherlock and himself wrecking the coffin. This last one was even shocking, since the maximum we saw of Sherlock is he shooting at the wall. Martin Freeman was also excellent, what about the scene of Mary’s death? I cried horrors. I’m tired of counting how many times I lost my breath watching these episodes. I’m here looking forward to more. Great season.
