Good Musicals and how they fit my very specific dark academia aesthetic (a summary):
1. Spring Awakening- just literally everything, has latin, an extreme amount of parental issues, gay angst
2. Natasha and Pierre- Dave Malloy is a genius and we should worship the ground he walks on, ummm, can’t really explain it but trust me
3. Ghost Quartet- (see above) but also very creepy and unnerving, non linear story, you have to listen like at least 3 times to start to actually understand the story
4. Urinetown- okay so not my cup of tea but is very based, the entire thing is a critique on capitalism (love)
5. Hadestown- woah another critique on capitalism, greek mythology, dark and angsty, good vibes
these are just off the top of my head feel free to add on

I’m writing an essay for my latin prose class about whether I think the description of Aeneas’ shield in the Aeneid suggests if Vergil is pro-Augustan or anti-Augustan and I honestly could not care less because I think it has very little to do with the message of the book which (in my opinion) is about the traumas of war and how traumatic experiences can and do affect us for the rest of our lives and how having our lives being destined for something beyond our control can result in great tragedy and loss, IDK might just be me
