now that i've had a moment to myself and processed the promo properly.. i have to say some spoilery things.

i don't think that jemma is officially hydra. well, i mean she is, probably, but only in the sense that she needed not only their resources, but to get to the students at the academy like donnie gill who were forced into hydra's ranks. there's also the device we see at the start of the promo, maybe she's heard about it and wants to try and use it to 'fix' fitz. or at least jumpstart the dead cells in his brain back into function. i think she's devoted herself to a semi-undercover position and before she could, she needed to distance herself from the team. guilt and determination has put her where she is. i'm still.. very skeptical of what's going to happen. i don't know for sure if i'm right. i guess we'll have to wait until next week, yeah?

Yes, I know that the cloaking device is mega important to SHIELD as it stands. Yes, I know that the specs were important for Fitz to get done.

But if Jemma knew or even thought for one second

That after she left the rest of the team would leave Fitz alone in the lab without even trying to get him professional help

She would have stayed

YES they're supposed to be underground right now.

But they have connections. How hard would it have fucking been to FIND a therapist, a neurologist, and get them to just HELP FITZ RECOVER? I'm not asking for a SHIELD approved scientist

I'm asking for someone to help Fitz because he is suffering so much and withdrawing from the world.

He feels like the kid at school that stays inside for recess by himself because the other kids have more important games to play.

If Jemma knew that they were going to leave him by himself all day and only pester him for designs on a cloaking device all day every day

She wouldn't have left

Because as guilty as she was feeling for his mental state. As guilty as she feels still for taking that breath of air. She would never in a thousand years have imagined that the people she came to see as friends would leave Fitz in the lab to rot.

Yes they all have their own shit to deal with. But there HAD to have been downtime between ops. Days. Maybe even a week.

But no they saw that Fitz was starting to slip and they watched.
