Rocky Horror Picture Show, 45 yrs and still going strong! What mischief were you up to this past eve of Halloween? And yes, Rocky Horror fans... I left out the “don’t”.  But I feel it is important to “Dream it”... then follow through and “Be it”! Don’t let the fear of failure stop you. With failure comes personal growth. Keep on trying until you achieve your dreams... “Dream it, Be it” :)
“Dream it, Be it” is SOLD! But if it was your dream to have one I am making a limited edition of similar reproductions of this piece (and other pieces) @ $80 each. Send an email to: artegrity@optonline if interested. Dream it, Be it :)

You may say I’m a dreamer... and you would be correct.
I have frequently been accused of “living in a dream world”, or of “having my head in the clouds”.
But that mindset has served me well in life. It allowed me to inspire students for close to 3 decades and to raise a now 16 year old son in a way that I believe will inspire him to lead a valuable life.  Trust me, I have seen my share of despair, anguish, and death, first hand. But I still choose to believe in the power of positivity over negativity... encouragement over discouragement... the possibility of our country and the world choosing hope over fear.
So yes, I’m a dreamer... but I’m not the only one.

“Vision of Butterfly Fields”, July 2020 wire, tissue paper, watercolor, gloss medium.
The smell of a summer meadow, the sounds of songbirds, the tart flavor of wild blackberries, and butterflies floating on the breeze... shared with someone special.

Detail from “Student Chandelier”, June 2020. Each portrait is one single piece of wire that bends, twists, and forms a memory. The wire has its beginning and its end. Sometimes we are prepared for the ending and sometimes it ends abruptly, catching us by surprise... leaving us wondering if we could have done more.

This “Student Chandelier”, June 2020, was created in honor of, and inspired by my students, past and present.  I hope they all continue to “grow” as artist’s and as human beings.  It has been my privilege to collaborate with them these past 21 years.  You may see yourself reflected in one of the portraits. “High Tension”, 5′ wide x 3.5′ tall,  Acrylic washes on repurposed drop cloth, April 2020
Saw a beautiful sky over the Middlesex Greenway, but the view was blocked by high tension electric wires... kind of how I was feeling, so I had to paint it.  I cut up an old drop cloth I had in my trunk, and 5 hours later this is the result.  I like the old drips and splatters from numerous old projects.  It’s almost like they were waiting to be part of something more.
