Previously I was commissioned by Venus Et Fleur to draw live portraits of their influencer guests at their pop-up event in Mayfair, London. The turn out was a success! Everyone was happy to take home a one of a kind piece of art which made the experience memorable, not to forget the interaction I had with these amazing ladies!
Can’t wait to work with more brands & host events like this! 🙌🏽🖍️🎨

“The Night Before The Wedding.” (Mehndi Night) 2024.
59.4cm x 84.1cm
Drawn in Polychromo Coloured pencils.
Finally after 2 years I’ve completed this portrait! This is a part of my protect titled “The Ones That Came Before Me.” This portrait is of my mum during her wedding season. This project is about documenting the life of my family (my parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts etc). It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions throughout this journey of two years. So much of my personal life felt like it wasn’t moving in the direction I intended. With so much new uncertainty & society pressures & what’s happening in Palestine, it all was taking an effect to the duration to complete it, however I remained resilient & managed to see it through to its completion. Can’t wait for you to see this in person at one of my art exhibitions hopefully this year!!!

“The One’s That Came Before Me” (continued)
1. This is my most current piece that I’m working on. It’s titled “The night before the wedding” (The Mehndi night). It’s a portrait of my mum getting her henna by her sisters, friends & relatives. This picture struck me by the bold colours & composition. The symmetry is amazing if you really look at it. Notice how if you drew a Union Jack style lines across the page, you would find everyone is symmetrical to one another. It’s like connecting the dots.
2. These are quick sketches of family members who came before me. From grandparents, to parents and aunties & uncles. Later after I colour them in, I’ll be choosing some to draw at a larger scale (A1 size) and adding more context to them. #artbyresistant #art #artist #london

Coloured marker illustrations
Some illustrations I created using Pro markers on Moleskine sketchbook. I also exhibited them in New Jersey USA as part of a group exhibition titled ‘A Time & Place’ curated by Giselle Peppers in 2017.
A digital marketer reached out to me after noticing my Rita Ora illustration and wanted me to do work for Atlantic records.
