Cut paper project in shirt-form. I plan on covering the entire shirt- front and back. I still need to find a way to keep it from fraying, apparently there is a spray I can buy so I’m going to look into that more. I am also considering dyeing it after, but I haven’t decided whether I will or not. I chose more of a pattern type design rather than an actual picture because I thought this would turn out really interesting and also an image might be harder to see since the material might not hang flat. Matrix Blooms. As anyone who has witnessed me hacking through this course will know, my feelings on the topic of digital art are mixed. My goal was to copy the textural effects of photoshop in media I’m familiar with. The graphing in the background is created using layers of thread and a great deal of careful measurement, in contrast to the petals and leaves which were painted with no planing and then crumpled and ripped to shreds. when this is done a Fibonacci graph will be superimposed over the top, completing the “computerization” effect on an organic design.
