Is it obvious I love Greek mythology? (Uhm pls note that I like to talk about the gods as fiction like “oh I don’t like Zeus.” I mean it in their fiction versions, I’m sure that Zeus’ actually a really nice guy! Just don’t know why they portray him so…..evil in the ancient myths😭)

Reading the Odyssey while listening to the Wisdom Saga is so odd cus like God Games comes first and it was Athena’s idea to kill the suitors and Telemachus is literally EVIL hello?? He actually isn’t he just really wants to kill the suitors and the last part I read was Zeus’ prophet telling everyone Odysseus is gonna come home.

My least phavorite part is that they’re using the roman names like PLEASE JUST CALL HIM ODYSSEUS AND NOT ULYSSES I HATE HIS ROMAN NAME FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN IT IRRITATES ME I literally had to search up Jove to find out it was another name of Jupiter who is Zeus’ equivalent, at least they kept a handful of names the same like Penelope, Telemachus, Antinous, Eurymachus so that’s ok, and Polyphemus and Calypso and Atlas
