Tonight's freelance projection job was a fun one. I got to project the U.S. premier of the documentary Bergman: A Year In A Life with director Jane Magnusson and story editor / researcher Henrik von Sydow in attendance. Not only is the documentary great but I was able to hang out with the two of them and have some great film conversations ranging from the career of Christina Lindberg, to the greatness of Phantom Of The Paradise, to the films of Henrik's father. My second day on, and the last day, of this year's H.P. Lovecraft film festival. The features have been especially strong this year with Housewife, They Remain, and Cold Skin screening over the past two days so today things wrap up with two shorts blocks sandwiching this feature. I tried a new experiment this year at Rock and Shock called "It Came From A DVDr". Essentially @otcbill and i chose the craziest looking grey market dvdr we could find in the vendor room and show it to an audience. We found "Hard Rock Zombies" at the VHSPS table and now the audience is digging its wacky charm. #RockAndShock2017 #vhsps #hardrockzombies #ItCameFromADVDr
