when it comes to brewing the various magical liquids - there's a difference between all of them. a layperson might assume they're interchangeable. this can result in a fatal mistake. a brief overview of the language used and what results they have.

not all of these liquids can be used orally.

potion: a catch-all sort of existence for something that has been brewed for several hours, resulting in a soup-like quality. must be swallowed to take effect. usually composed of medicinal herbs and other plants. can be vegetarian & vegan friendly, however some do still require animal products and require to be labelled on potion ingredients. (something some of the hedge witches & douxie start figuring out. trolls? eh. fuck around and find out) - the ingredients are mostly common sourced items, and may have some substitutes.

usually used for healing and recovery. often brewed by witches, hedge witches, & apothecaries.

elixir: dear god, do not drink an elixir unless explicitly stated. often requires another method of administering - often pouring it into a volume of water deep enough to submerge what you wish to change. typically composed of magical substances that cannot be substituted due to the properties of those items. very rarely is it possible to substitute an ingredient without the entire thing blowing up in the creator's face.

purpose is to permanently alter the user. brewed by master wizards and alchemists.

akaridion bodies don't actually have a physical weight. any sort of weight actually comes from thier core projecting artificial gravity that affects only them. this allows for them to adjust weight if needed in response to other planets. it's something set in complicated code when their core is created.

a skilled hacker can set a code to adjust it - either using their own serrator or using a device that hooks into their core. (krel does this for aja and himself on earth to make them believable with other teenagers' average weights.) and it only works on earth - their weight fluctuates when they're on the moon or on akaridion-5.

deya cannot remember trollish. she relies on the trollhunter amulet to translate between english and trollish. she struggles as well with relearning it as an adult. she carries a human accent as well.

i think young merlin would be fun to eventually explore. since he's an absolutely nutty old man who only cares for himself, itd be fun to explore if he's always been that way, or if power went to his head.

some misc notes about william

he looks up to jim as an older brother. it's a complicated relationship in the first place due to him being the familiar to jim's stepdad, walter. this results in will keeping his hair in a longer, shaggier cut.

his main verse is some time travel base that has him searching for a way back to his proper time/timeline or else he'll likely fade from existence as is. he tries not to speak of it.

will could potentially transform, if the right spell or elixir is used. however, this elixir would not be the same used to turn a human into a troll hybrid.
