hey!
what do you think of arcade rhythm games? or are they not retro enough for you?
I enjoy rhythm games although as you suggest they were a little after my time. I’m always thoroughly impressed by the serious DDR players you see in arcades, and know a couple who always impress me. If I’m entirely honest I’m a little intimidated by dancing games. I do really enjoy the Taiko games though.

Hmm, it seems the game board isn’t the only thing missing…

When I saw the first image I thought it was a mirror-image, but then I saw the second. I guess in an alternate history left-handed cabinets could have been more of a thing.

I’ve been meaning to post this pickup for a while. It needs new EL panels and a new control panel overlay, otherwise it’s complete, functional, and well maintained.a

Well, at least it’s on a table and not an actual machine.

You know it’s a well looked after cabinet when they’ve replaced the joystick ball top with a pool ball…

I’m in no way affiliated with this, I just think it’s awesome that somebody is producing young modern arcade games. This is something I’ve considered but have never pushed forward with.

So after a few tense moments, I’ve removed the vinyl from the Perspex and put the new ones on.
So I ordered some new marquees from Noodle Shirt.
Unfortunately, in keeping with a poor week of focus, I managed to get the sessions switched around, so I now have this…
Sigh.
Meanwhile, @alexr-fightgames I know you liked seeing Australian levers/sticks, how do you feel about this Australian Street Fighter marquee?

Noodle Shirt is going to print the artwork at the correct sizes so that I can transfer them to the Perspex (after removing the current artwork). This will save me some money and stop me wasting the Perspex, if that makes sense.
So I ordered some new marquees from Noodle Shirt.

Whoa! An Australian Street Fighter 1 cabinet licenced to Leisure & Allied Industries. I’ve never seen one of these before, let alone seen one for sale. Just look at it!
