GAHH THANK YOU<3!! Yeah it develops (he would rather die than admit it at first though, affection is for inferiors or whatever)

It’s one time where she’s out getting supplies for an invention (since he can’t go out being a threat and all) and gets attacked, a portal appears behind her, a hand with a blaster comes out and shoots the attacker.

It ends up being Prime who saved her. She genuinely questioned him, asking why he did it, he says he needs her around (he hopes it came across as ‘I need you to get shit for me) and she begins to wonder if he values her (since he supposedly doesn’t value anything from what she can tell).

Slowly more moments like that begin to happen though and she picks up on it, where he refuses to let her get hurt but acts like he doesn’t give a shit and blows it off when she confronts him about it. After a year or so (if time even matters in the middle of nowhere hidden in space) it’s clear she’s the only thing he values at all, though he never says it, he does save her and repair her when needed. (I.e you don’t have to say I love you to express love).

Time after time of tension building and him refusing to admit he feels any feelings that an inferior would, it’s Elizabeth that has a weak moment. It’s when he’s fixing an enhancement on her and they’re laughing about something, she’s comfortable and in a moment of confidence she kisses his cheek as a thank you, he just stares at her for like 3 minutes without saying anything, then lands a “hah, bold” after that he never addressed it , he just used it as an excuse to start doing himself (which was literally a turning point for her, this man does NOT show any affection, so at this point she thinks he’s doing it just to embarrass her)

She can’t remember why or when or even how they started sleeping in the same bed (mainly because he told her “sleeping is for inferiors, I’m wayyyy beyond the need for that waste of time”), and he stands by that, except.. what happened he won’t talk about (just let things be) it was when her body didn’t particularly like the first heart enhancement and it led to a few problems, she looked at him and with a cracking voice told him she didn’t want to be alone, he wanted to just walk out and tend to other things but.. he caved (and acted like he hated it) but he hasn’t let her sleep alone since, even if that means pretending he needs it himself (just another thing he denies, “I just have to watch over your enhancements until they stabilized, don’t get cocky”. And she gets cocky because her enhancements are completely stable now)

Hello! For what does Rick Prime keep Liz around?

Hi!! Good question! So basically after Rick Prime was sent back to the Prime/cronenburg dimension due to the portal travelers reset, he stumbled upon her after killing Jerry Prime. Being already quarantined due to chronic illnesses, she survived the cronenburg virus (barely). Being vulnerable and desperate for help, he saw her as a pawn (maybe even bait) and decided to see what use she could give him if he kept her around, but quickly made her aware “this isn’t permanent. I don’t do sidekicks.” Though she did offer him a place to stay while portal travel was being repaired (he destroyed her house for supplies)

After portal travel had been fixed, he was getting annoyed by her health issues and instead of dumping her out in space, he gave her a few items to shut her up (breathing assistance and a hover chair) and made her useful while he devised a plan to make her ‘better’ i.e enhance her. During the plan, she began to help him out (as a thanks for saving her AND begrudgingly assisting her), she learned the ins and outs of his base and would begin to do small things, make him coffee, help him with projects, gather supplies in dimensions he would be spotted in, without fully knowing who he is.

She basically became his secretary, less of a sidekick and more of an assistant, that's in debt to him. He refuses to admit he ‘saved’ her and still denies it though, even now that they’re technically partners (something else he denies)
