Hear me out, bear with me for a second. I have been out the whole day so I DEFINITELY do not make sense and I am delusional + overthinking. Very far-fetched idea, I think.

I need you to agree that Evol = Love for the sake of this post.

I know Sylus's evol comes from his draconic powers in his past life but I'm unsure what it's supposed to represent. Energy. It can be taken as life— MC bringing life into his world. Or that, since energy cannot be destroyed and can only be converted from one form to another, MC brought changed into his life.

AUGH. MC could resonate her evol (basically, reciprocate love) just fine with the other LIs. But with Sylus, she couldn't do that at all. Sylus could not ferl her love. DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW GUT WRENCHING THAT IS TO ME?

But but but—

He could feel a trace of her evol. VERY faintly and he said it was weak. Something along the lines of “...your evol's been reduced to this.” I can't really remember (note: I am too lazy to reread Long Awaited Revelry again). And when he recognized that MC was, in fact, his literal soulmate, you can see a slight upturn of his lips. Barely there smile.

And MC's first instinct after Sylus forced her to pull the trigger is to put her hands over the gunshot wound like she did when she stabbed Dragon!Sylus. Even when she had every intention of killing him; hatred formed from the assumption that he had killed her only family. MC didn't know, but her soul did and it wanted to save her dragon.

There's been discourse going around the LADS fandom about BDSM, how it's abusive (it's not), and how Sylus isn't into it.

My sisters in Christ, how can you look at a card like NDZ or at this image

and claim that the man isn't into BDSM? He was even officially marketed in CN as a BDSM Dom.

Everyone is entitled to have their own feelings on BDSM in itself, to be uncomfortable with it or not into it or whatever but it baffles me when I see claims like the ones above. It's so nonsensical.

Real BDSM is not at all abusive. It's 100% consensual and safe. It's fundamentally about autonomy and trust. And so much more than sadism and rough play etc. Also, I promise that even though Sylus is into BDSM, he would never force it upon you/MC. If his partner doesn't want to do it, then that's fine. What he cares about is pleasing and pleasuring his beloved. He'd sooner deep throat a cacti than make you/MC uncomfortable.

I also think it's a shame to see Sylus — and by proxy real people who practice BDSM — be shamed for enjoying it. Luckily I haven't seen this behavior here on tumblr though, and I hope I won't ever have to either. We're all grown ups here, and open minded I hope, or at least tolerant.

I myself am not practicing BDSM and I'm not sure if I'd enjoy it, but I can see the appeal and I absolutely realize the inherent mutual trust and strength of bond required between practicing partners. Which is a beautiful and aspirational thing imo.

Also, genuinely? I think it's super hot to know that Sylus is able to wield a single tail whip. It takes years of training and an incredible amount of experience and precision to use it accurately and safely. Just knowing the sheer amount of control that Sylus is able to exert to wield such a tool makes me shiver and tingle tmi lol forgive me. I have always found his mastery of control to be one of his sexiest traits ngl. And also just realizing how he spent years practicing it just in case MC would ever be into impact play, so that he would be able to give her the maximum amount of pleasure... that is such dedication.

From what I've read and learned about BDSM, Sylus is pretty much a perfect representation of a soft pleasure dom, and his dynamic with MC can be viewed as an example of a true and healthy dom/sub dynamic in that whilst Sylus is the dominating figure, the true power lies with MC aka the sub. As it should. Sylus always emphasizes MCs autonomy and her freedom of choice, and he always makes sure that she sets the pace for their relationship. She decides what she is comfortable with and how far she wants to go. And that is how BDSM works.

So if anyone wants genuine BDSM dom representation look to Sylus. Not Christian Grey.

The crux of the Caleb incest conversation

I keep seeing this conversation, but in a very surface level way and only parts of these arguments, so I'm going to put the points here.

This is 4 small paragraphs

Caleb has watched Josephine experiment on MC until he was about 10, has many terribly traumatising memories of what she and the other researchers have done. Up to this point they were not considered siblings, 哥哥 is a term of endearment that may translate to brother but wasn't used like brother.

Josephine takes the 2 away with her and raises them in the same household, but they never really acted or thought of eachother like siblings, acting even so much like a couple as to drive away the others prospective dates. They already wanted eachother.

Caleb has been living in a house with their traumatiser (even if MC can't remember) and pretending to play a happy family, even when in his head MC was never his sister.

The current problem on why they can't be together (although there are other confounding factors)

The chip in his brain and the attached mission

My conclusion is: I haven't seen any outraged adopted siblings (yet and if you are thats valid), but the 2 never saw eachother as siblings and we as players were part of the sibling dynamic for about 5 on screen minutes.

My social media is full of people complaining that Lads has no more ingame content to do and they do nothing but dailies

On the other hand players asking questions, about the guys, even their mains that they should know after the main story

And I'm just hoping those are 2 different groups of people, because otherwise fandom is going to get even more exhausting, with creators that can't even tell you the plot of the main story and a whole bunch of misinformation...

This man is so sweet and precious aaaaaaa

I love how even a receipt shows what a loverboy and a yearner he is — the boxing equipment for beginners (obviously MC), the aromatherapy (something he's known to gift to MC when she's feeling stressed) with pomegranate scent (pomegranates ofc being a recurring element in their relationship). And finally the nutrients to take care of the plants she keeps on bringing him (what makes this extra cute is how he insists that MC shouldn't keep giving him plants for his bedroom and yet he's out here buying them high grade nutrient solution dhdjfj. He kind of reminds me of those dads that says they don't want a cat or a dog yet once they actually get them they become super attached and committed heh).

I further suspect that the salad dressing is Sylus still stocking up on MCs favorite flavor — he canonically purchased a whole fridge's worth of the stuff when he noticed how much she liked the taste. And then he got addicted in the process, so I guess this can also be seen as him indulging his newfound addiction ijbol.

I also love to see that he's splurging on personal hobbies as well. One of my favorite things about him is that he truly dgaf if he sings like a tonedeaf crow with strep throat, he's gonna sing anyway and he's gonna enjoy every second. Sylus does what Sylus wants regardless of others' opinions. That's how he rolls. He is an unbothered king and I respect the shit outta that.
