An American Werewolf In London is a film that gets lumped in with other monster movies, but to me is the best Werewolf movie ever made. It’s protagonist is loveable and sympathetic, the love interest is empowered and dynamic, the effects are terrifying, the script is deceptively simple yet deft and eloquent. Hereditary should be considered our generations answer to The Shining. Boasting an atmosphere thick with dread from the very start, it’s ambiguous plot will leave you second guessing your sanity.
