Anthony J Sargeant learnt to drive in an early 1950s Ford Zephyr like this one - even the same dull green colour. It was my father’s car and by modern standards a pig to drive. Light at the back, three forward gears, a bench front seat, and of course not seat belts in 1962.

Oh to be in England now that April’s there

Anthony Sargeant took this photograph on 2nd April 2016 from his Shropshire home. Spring lambs are in the field next to his home. Although the trees are not yet in leaf they are just starting to show the merest hint of green haze as the buds prepare to burst open

Georgie is now very old but seems in good health at 17 yrs. A slightly scruffy Yorkshire Terrier that Anthony Sargeant looks after although it was really his daughter’s dog - but then when she left home she could not take the dog with her and so it stayed with Tony
