I make a living buying and selling used books. I browse the racks of thrift stores and library book sales using an electronic bar-code scanner. I push the button, a red laser hops about, and an LCD screen lights up with the resale values. It feels like being God in...

Usage is like oxygen for ideas. That means every moment you’re working on something without it being in the public it’s actually dying, deprived of the oxygen of the real world.

Happiness is elusive without balance. I learned that the hard way. As an entrepreneur, Iâve been fortunate to see financial success but that has little connection to genuine happiness. A famous writer once said, "Don't make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off you." In other words, let passion dictate the 86,400 seconds you share with the world each day. Itâs a euphoric state of mind. Whatâs a euphoric state of mind? You canât control the outcome, only the process. Sometimes we wonder through our successes and triumphs â for whom are we doing this for? And, I have one answer: Youâre doing it for you. These are some of the rules I try to live by: 1. UNPLUG: The wired world connected us in wonderful and unimaginable ways, but thereâs a lot of to be said for the real world. You have to learn to let go. Set aside the phone and the laptop and carve out quality time with the people that really matter to you

Life is crazy !
It was the summer of 2009. At Yahoo(...one of those companies where even getting a job is considered no less than getting multiple orgasms), curtains have fallen for a guy, who had worked there for 11 years.
As strange as it may sound, after 11 years of plush job, job hunting begun again. Apart from regular big names like Apple, Microsoft and google, market was abuzz with two new entrants. If one was apple of an eye, other one was twinkling in another eye. They were the darling of every venture capitalist and dream of every technical heart (...for hackers, brain and heart do only one thing -code). Names were- Facebook and Twitter !
So, no pies for guessing, this guy knocked the doors of Twitter and surprisingly got turned down. Unlike Guy kawasaki, who mentioned long commute as the reason of not taking the post of Yahoo's CEO (..and is still regretting :D) ,this Yahoo veteran mentioned the reason of long commute, after being turned down by Twitter (...now Twitter has all the reasons to regret :D).
The obvious next try was Facebook- The love of nerds, magnet of talent. He also got pulled by its geeky charm. But surprisingly, they also turned him down.
The mistake that costed them -$ 19 BILLION, 4 years later .
As we all know, the guy is Brian Acton, co-founder of Whatsapp. And, Facebook today acquired it for $19B -With a big B. Now how’s that for a happy ending?
So, in life everything turns good at the end. We can again re-iterate the age old saying,
Everything will be okay in the end. If its not okay, its not the end. Life may be bitchy sometimes, but its definitely crazy...!!
