very excited to release my DIY tutorial for my Girls<3Rule Glitter Banner! hope you guys like it!
1. First you’re going to need to download the blackout sunrise font which is what I used to make the templates for my letters. Depending on how large or small you want your letters you can adjust the font size, I used 475 pt. for this one. You can also cut down on printing if you don’t print repeat letters (G, I, R, L, S, U, E)
2. After you print the templates cut out each letter as best you can!
3. The cardboard I used to make the actual letters was a thinner cardboard used for packing. However, you can use the non shiny side of a cereal box to make the letters and it will work just as well. I taped the letters to the cardboard to make cutting out the letters easier.
4. Cut out each letter, making sure you make doubles of L and R! Oh! and don’t forget your heart spacer!
5. Once you have all your letters cut out, you can start coating them in glue. The easiest and least messy way to do this is by using a cheap paintbrush and some clear glue.
6. Then the fun part! be generous in coating the letters with your favorite glitter!! I suggest using foil glitter because its cheaper, and it covers the letters better.
7. Using a hole punch, punch two holes in each letter on either side.
8. String a pretty ribbon through the holes of each letter.
9. Admire your banner that exudes the strength of the feminist movement and hang it where ever you’d like. Feel free to edit this tutorial to make it say anything you want. It can easily be edited into a great christmas/new years eve party decoration!
