The entitlement Osmund Saddler holds for Ashley Graham is so... URGH!!!

The fact he kidnapped her in the first place, him stuffing her (at least being contempt with her being there, don't remember the exact lore on that) into a dingy church attic (while she cried her eyes out the whole time btw), telling his followers to continue pursuring her endlessly when she's finally freed, stuffing her into a dingy cell on top a dingy ass mattress, forcing her to kill people—particularly wanting her to kill Leon, the one person who has kept her alive this whole time—with no consideration for how she might feel about it, his constant preaches about "saving" and "guiding" her, him referring to her as "our newest daughter" (therefore as his daughter), and becoming furious when he finds out hers, as well as Leon's Plagas have been removed. The way he puts her on such a pedestal but simultaneously treats her so poorly... it feels so clear to me that he does not really view her as a person, or at least cares very, VERY little for her feelings.

She is first and foremost a tool, that is only useful in what she can provide him. She is extraordinarily valuable in her being the key to infecting all of America, in theory, but when it comes to actually interacting with her in person... he doesn't treat her with any amount of respect. Something she hasn't even done yet, only something he planned out beforehand and forced her to go through with—a plan that might not even work—is the only thing that gives her worth. But I don't think he mistreats her out of malice. It's more that, he truly believes he loves her, because to him, infecting people with Las Plagas is a gift, as "it's the solution to save humanity." So of course, he doesn't think he's done anything wrong. Maybe he hurts people along the way, but what he does is for the ultimate greater good, so anyone who opposes him must just be irrational and not seeing the bigger picture. But really, he only loves what she can theoretically do for him. Not actually *her*. Ashley only matters to him if she can further spread Las Plagas, never complain, never disobey, and mindlessly love him. So if she can't do that, it infuriates him like nothing else.

If you're curious how I do it I use two different brushes

The ballpoint pen is for the lineart of parts I want to be even and symmetrical due to its shape (sorry I'm bad at explaining this), or in other words just the one you use for most things, meanwhile the falcon pen is used for more intricate detail like hair and folds on clothes. I change the size of them sometimes depending on what I'm doing and to add variety instead of everything being the same size of course

I wish I could actually be obsessed with something for real again. I guess there are things I'm into an abnormal amount now, like RE4 and TCD (the latter WAY less than the former though), but I honestly feel like they were mostly flukes. To be more specific, I might be into it a lot for a couple weeks, but after a month I gradually begin to lose interest for a multitude of different reasons. With RE4, I love it, of course, but the hard part comes in when the only character I really *love* from that game is Osmund Saddler, a character everyone else hates, constantly mischaracterizes and misunderstands, or doesn't care about at all, which means the only way I could get traction posting about it was if I settled with characters I liked significantly less. Also doesn't help that I arrived nearly two years late to the party, when its peak popularity was in 2023. Luis, Leon, Ada, Krauser and Wesker are all just.. FINE. I like them (except Wesker in RE4R I don't care for him much at all he's a cunt), but it doesn't go far beyond "like." And that's why I never really got anywhere significant. Of course there are some other people that like him, but I honestly feel like some of them avoid me on purpose because I'm Weird or because I'm not an adult, and neither do they want to be mutuals with me, so I don't have anyone.

I miss the days where I was into Nexomon or Bioshock and I could be into it for nearly a year/a year straight with hardly any hangups. Even though those fandoms are dead as fuck on Tumblr, at least there's some people. Looking back, the stuff I made for Minervas Den was shit, but at least some people wanted to see it and liked it. Fandom is just no fun when you're alone, but all I have been for awhile is alone. Maybe I'm being melodramatic but being super into something is the only thing that kept me consistently happy those days. I also believe me no longer being into the only thing me and my old mutuals had in common is why they don't really interact with me anymore. And. Y'know. Loneliness isn't really good for your health. Seriously I feel like the only time my older followers give a shit about what I do or what I have to say is when I rarely post about something they already know about. I don't even really know what the point of this was I just wanted to talk about it. This also wasn't inspired by some specific event I've felt like this for a while
