Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed a replacement smartphone game within the My Hero Academia franchise on Monday titled My Hero Academia Ultra Impact.

TOHO and Aniplex announced on Monday that the Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-Hen) film has sold 7,983,442 tickets to earn 10,754,232,550 yen (about US$102.52 million) in its first 10 days at the box office. The film set a replacement record in Japan for the fastest film to earn 10 billion yen, beating out Spirited Away (which is currently the top-grossing film of all time in Japan, having earned 30.8 billion yen). Spirited Away took 25 days to succeed in 10 billion yen when it opened in Japan in 2001.
Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train sold 1,115,182 tickets on Saturday to earn 1,500,944,600 yen (about US$14.3 million), and 1,157,654 tickets on Sunday to earn 1,540,504,150 yen (about US$14.68 million).
The film opened in Japan on October 16. The anime began screening altogether 38 IMAX theaters in Japan on an equivalent day. The film is that the first Japanese film opening this year to screen in IMAX theaters. Theatergoers received a "Rengoku Volume 0" manga volume, which was limited to 4.5 million copies. Kyoto Animation announced on Monday that the Violet Evergarden: The Movie anime film has earned 1.5 billion yen (about US$14.3 million) and has sold approximately 1.11 million tickets as of Sunday, 38 days after the film opened in Japan. The film ranked at #6 in its sixth weekend.
The film's official website announced on April 6 that Kyoto Animation postponed the film's opening in Japan thanks to concerns over the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The film was slated to open in Japan on April 24. This was the second delay for the film, because it was originally slated for a January 10 opening in Japan.
Singer TRUE returned to perform the film's theme song "WILL."
The franchise's separate side-story anime, titled Violet Evergarden I: Eternity and therefore the Auto Memory Doll (Violet Evergarden Gaiden: Eien to Jidō Shuki Ningyō), opened in theaters in Japan in September 2019, and it screened for a minimum of five weeks. The official Twitter account of Kodansha's Kiss magazine announced on Friday that Rie Aruga's Perfect World manga will end serialization in three chapters.
The 11th compiled book volume of the manga had revealed on August 12 that the manga will end within the 12th volume. Aruga previously revealed in April 2019 that that manga was heading toward its "final stage."
Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga digitally and physically in English, and it describes the story:

A website and Twitter account opened on Sunday (which is October 25, "World Birthday") to announce that Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia World Stars manga is inspiring a replacement anime adaptation in spring 2021. The account also announced that the Hetalia World Stars manga will resume, which Himaruya will launch a replacement manga with a secret theme in Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine's January issue on December 4.
The new Hetalia World Stars anime features a returning cast, featuring Daisuke Namikawa as Italy, Hiroki Yasumoto as Germany, Hiroki Takahashi as Japan, Katsuyuki Konishi as America, Noriaki Sugiyama as England, Masaya Onosaka as France, Yasuhiro Takato as Russia, and Yuki Kaida as China. Hiroshi Watanabe, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, and Mariko Oka all return as director, series script supervisor, and character designer for the anime, with Studio DEEN returning for animation production.
Himaruya's Hetalia World Stars manga is that the latest manga within the franchise. The manga launched in Shonen Jump+ on an equivalent day the web manga service launched, but it went on hiatus in April 2018. Shueisha has published four compiled book volumes for the manga.

Viz Media's website has removed its free Hulu-embedded streams of anime episodes. The company's website now directs visitors to observe the anime on other streaming platforms, like Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, and Netflix.
Viz previously offered free streams via Hulu for several of its licensed anime, including Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Naruto, One-Punch Man, Bleach, Sailor Moon, Hunter x Hunter, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Death Note, Inuyasha, and Ranma ½.
The vice chairman Publishing Sales at Viz Media, Kevin Hamric, stated in an interview with ICv2 published in September that Viz Media has been doing "extraordinarily well" during the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Hamric didn't give any sales figures, but said that sales were "beyond expectations."
Hamric revealed that the staff at Viz Media initially discussed revising their revenue budget, goals, and publication schedule when the COVID-19 pandemic began, but didn't find yourself implementing any discussed changes.
