Can I say………Married bkdk being happier than ever, but one day Katsuki died on the battlefield and Izuku still wore his wedding ring on his finger, refusing to live without it bc it’s a reminder of the love of his life he lost in terrible conditions.

“Are you married ?” Someone asked, catching the freckled man’s attention. It was too late to return home in this silence that became his new everyday. Izuku didn’t know how many years had passed since Katsuki’s death, but he revived the same nightmare every night, with bitter tears falling down his cheeks.

“Not anymore,” the freckled man replied with a sad tone, ruffling the ring with his shaking fingers. He wished the stranger by his side was the ghost of his childhood friend, but Katsuki was already out of reach….

“Oh….may I ask why you still have the ring ?” The guy asked with a curious tone, understanding how the green-haired man seemed emotional about this topic.

“Because it keeps him alive,” Izuku confessed with a smile, holding back his tears. At this moment, he realized how much he missed the stupid grin and comment of his husband, the man who shared half of his soul and the ghost haunting his last days. “It reminds me how many years I’ve spent loving him, and how I’ll always cherish our memories, even in the next lifetime.”

“You must really love him,” the stranger whispered in a low tone, realizing how the shorter figure beside him was holding back his tears.

“I loved him until death do us part, and yet, it wasn’t enough to let him stay. Fate is probably laughing at my misery, but it’ll never take awake my endless devotion….we were a whole, and will always be.”

The same night, Izuku Bakugo Midoriya returned him with tears falling down his cheeks. He couldn’t find sleep, but knew it was a question of time behind his husband in the afterlife….
